DESCRIPTION​

The Model FC-35 Razorfin is a high-powered repulsorcraft originally manufactured by the Razalon corporation, known for its more unusual vehicles. It was designed as a single pilot scout, tracking, and pursuit craft for use in the rougher and more wild parts of the galaxy, and in that role it does well. Despite its size and weight, the repulsorlift manuevering fins at the fore and aft, which also serve as air vanes, allow for maneuvering on par with the average sporting swoop. The powerful engine rumbles and roars when active, powering the Razorfin up to 700kph.

The wide set handles and foot pedals combine with the relatively wide and tall-backed seat make for a comfortable ride for long journeys while the transparisteel wind screen helps keep sand, dust, and other undesirable matter from impacting the pilot's face, including blaster bolts. The wind screen folds down forward at the press of a button if needed. A boxy section just behind the pilot seat contains room for 20kg worth of storage space. An aft tractor beam emitter mounted behind the armoured storage compartment lets it haul extra cargo.

Beneath the main chassis lies a unique repulsor array with both forward and backward facing dual propulsion which, combined with the fins, gives the Razorfin a good deal of precision maneuvering in a straight line and even turning for the experienced user. Some are even modified for proper street racing as the system gives it the abilty to drift with the utmost control. It also gives it the unique trait of being able to move in reverse at full speed, though few beyond stunt drivers are crazy enough to try that trick.

Most unusual for a swoop are the sensor and jammer systems, which can find and track targets at far greater distances than a standard swoop's and with much greater precision. The signal jammer is capable of blocking most portable communication systems within a 100 meter radius, although this includes its own.

Incredibly uncommon in Core world space, the Razorfin is instead favoured by Sector Rangers, bounty hunters, and mercenary groups traveling less hospitable planets, although it can also be seen in the hands of any other group that appreciates its speed, versatility, and reliability.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Razorfins are combat craft, and are subject to extra licensing requirements and increased scrutiny by authorities. Their appearance also tends to draw additional scrutiny from authorities in more civilized systems.
