Feris entered the arena. He looked around a the surroundings. The arena was a large circle with ten foot walls all the way around. The ground was slightly dusty, but it was firm so it wouldn't cause either fighter to slip or loose his footing, There were sporadic patches of grass and the sun was shining brightly down on them.

Why couldn't we have a dark arena for once... Feris complained silently.

Feris slowly walked to his mark with a cold look on his prosthetic face. His eyes were hiding in blackness behind the false face. No emotion could be read from the look upon Feris' face.

This one will not be as lucky as the last... Feris contemplated his last duel where he lost a vailiant effort against a superiorly trained Jedi. Feris was still seething with anger toward Mephiles, and someday, Feris would seek revenge against him.

So who is my challenger today? Feris began to wonder.

Suddenly, the entrance door across the way began to open and now the challenger was entering the arena.

Inferno opened the door and walked quietly inside keeping himself at a respectable calm for a fight he was excepting for some time. His cloak covered his face form outside intrudes. He kept looked at the ground until several feet away from the Sith he quickly cocked his head up and stared in his opponent’s face with his piercing eyes. Inferno continued this stare as he reached around to his back and pulled out a vibro-sword. Swiftly pulling it out of sheaf and moving into a defensive form. His arms extended downwards out in front of him and his sword like an extension of his arm continued downwards. His feet spread in a power stance while at the same time he was bouncing and the balls of his feet much like a boxer. Inferno then lowered his head slightly while maintaining his stare. The words of his Master swirling through his telling to remain calm and let the force guide him in every move and he shall be victorious.

The Jedi entered the arena and took his defensive stance. The Jedi was ready.

At first sight, Feris was not impressed. But Feris wouldn't make the mistake of underestimating another Jedi.

Feris drew his vibrosword from underneath his brown robe. He pointed it straight at the Jedi. Feris pulled down his hood as to cover his eyes and nose from the sun. He took his attack stance, ready to tear into the young Padawan's flesh.

"You are singificantly smaller and younger than the last Jedi who tried to defeat me in this arena. I do not sense the force is strong with you, padawan! What makes you think you can succeed in victory today?" Feris hissed to the Jedi...

OCC: Just an rp improving comment you don’t have to paraphrase my post in your post.

Inferno didn’t listen to the Sith he knew already he could trust any of them. Even with the little experience he had in dealing with them Inferno knew his agility and unique hand-to-hand ability would be a strong factor in this fight. The vibro-sword was made of metal, which translated to Inferno that even if the blade hit him it didn’t mean ultimate death and he could deflect the blade with his hands unlike the lightsaber. Inferno then changed his stance into a southpaw and his grip was reversed. Inferno moved his arm up to his face as if to cover it. The blade went across his body in the opposite of his right arm. His left arm, now free of the blade, was extending freely outward. All Inferno needed now was for an attack

[OOC: Yeah man thx. I am somewhat new to RPin and I could use the hints. As a matter of fact, I got one for you that some1 else sugggested to me: break your post up so it isnt just one large paragraph. It makes it easier to read...]

And Feris was going to give Inferno just that...

Feris resented the fact that the Jedi didn't feel the obligation to speak when spoken to. He must be taught a lesson for this blatant show of disrespect.

Feris charged the Jedi with full force. Feris would not start off slow or lightly. He meant to crush this Jedi as soon as possible.

Feris sprinted up to his enemy and quickly began his attack with a large sweeping kick aimed at taking out the Jedi's feet. Feris almost knew this would be avoided, lest this Jedi would not be much competition.

Feris continued with his sword, sweeping it upward at his enemy, while he remained close to the ground. This was followed by three quick stabs aimed for the Jedi's stomach area. Feris threw a strong left handed punch to the face of his enemy and threw a swift kick to the side. Feris jumped backwards and stood near his enemy, looking to see if any of these blows hit their mark...

OCC: Yea well this is my 5th rp forum and the second time i've been on here so i'm not exactly new lol just so you know not to sound cocky but hey i know where you're coming from. The biggest help to rp'n is read'n fantasy books

Inferno saw the Sith’s attack at his feet and back flipped avoiding the upwards strike as well as the kick. The anticipating that the rage of the Sith wouldn’t stop there he side stepped the last combination of attacks. As the he flipped backwards in a retreat from his rage Inferno flowed him, he came in turning 180 degrees counterclockwise. The turn was lead by his vibro-sword. Even if the attack hit Inferno rolled forward twisting as he got up to look at the Sith.

Inferno didn’t need a blind combination to see the style of fighter. His first attack would be forward and possibly dangerous but he need to know something about this fighter before he even his talent in agility on a fighter.

Inferno easily avoided Feris' attacks and countered with merely a single sword swipe, but it was a strong one...

CLANG!!!

Feris was surprised at the strength of the attack coming from the small Jedi. He was focused and his stance was always defensive. This Jedi was measuring Feris' actions and judging his power.

Well then, let him measure this blow...

Feris sprinted toward his foe and flipped over his head. While in mid-air, Feris swiped at Inferno's head.

Inferno was preparing for a high strike after his blind combination. As soon as the Sith jumped through the air Inferno fell to the ground and with his sword on top of him. The Sith landed on the other side. Inferno quickly got up from the ground and charged at him while his back was turned from the landing.

Inferno swung at the Sith with the back of his elbow trying to knock him off his feet and onto the ground to the Sith’s left.

OCC: Well read a lot of R.A. Salvator Book AKA Drizzit Do’ Urden but if you pick up some star wars book or forgotten realms books and read about three you should be good if you like them. I read over 20 so lets not even go there

Feris missed his aerial attack and Inferno quickly responded by throwing a strong elbow that smacked Feris. Feris braced for the impact and took most of the blow to his shoulder, but the force of the attack pushed Feris several feet back, causing dust to lift off the ground and enter the air.

Feris sliced at Inferno's face and then swung at his feet again, trying to get the Jedi slightly off balance, or detect even the slightest change in Inferno's stance. Feris continued the attack with a punch to the face...

Inferno was about to charge at the Sith until out of the dust came a blade which cut several of the hairs off the top of his head. The dust cleared quickly and saw Feris’s attack at his feet Inferno smiled. He jumped quickly and landed on the blade stopping the only weapon the Sith had. Inferno looked up to a fist coming at his face. Too late to dodge Inferno took the blow to his jaw causing his to kick the blade out from under him and to stumble back a couple of feet. Inferno blinked a couple of times and calmed himself quickly and went back into his reverse grip stance waiting for the Sith’s move.

"How did that feel Padawan?" Feris said with a snicker.

Feris took this second to remove his cloak. He flung the dark brown robes to the ground revealing his pale, expressionless face. His hair was short, spikey and black, trimmed around his ears and neck. His black spikes stood straight up. Feris was wearing brown clothes wrapped tight against his six-foot tall body. His arms were wrapped as well.

The Sith took his stance before the Jedi, pointing his blade toward his enemy, holding the sword with only his left hand. Feris was completly ambidexterous, and often switched hands, just as Inferno did at the begining of the duel. Feris' right hand slowly wrapped around the blade.

AHHH!!!!

Feris charged his opponent again, still with the blade pointed forward. As he was bearing down on his foe, he raised his sword up and let it come crashing down with such force...

Inferno watched as the blinding rage charged at him. He side stepped the attack and then quickly kicked the hands of the Sith while they ranged from the hit of the floor. Letting his foot set just inside the area of the Sith. Inferno moved in too close for comfort. Just inches away from each other Inferno had his arm and blade to the Sith’s throat Inferno’s left hand was on the Sith’s hands which were holding the blade.

“Do you yield or shall I slit your throat either way this match is done. I’ve analyzed the possibilities you have few and limited move to make each one cost your either your life or your weapon, which ultimately means your stalled defeated. Now do you yield or shall you be stubborn like the rest.”

While Inferno said this the punch from Ferris showed its damage. The teeth of Inferno were no longer pearly white but blood red. His speech slurred from the excess fluids in his mouth. Every no and then his accidentally spat blood from his mouth. As soon he finished the talking he moved his head slightly only enough to spit over the Sith’s shoulder. Inferno knew this action didn’t compromise his position.

"Stubborn like the rest!" Feris yelled.

Feris abandoned his weapon, dropping it to the ground. Feris grabbed Inferno's sword, by the blade. This sliced upon Feris' hand and caused blood to trickle down Inferno's sword. Feris swung his other hand backwards smacking Inferno in the groin.

This cause Inferno to flinch just enough for Feris to get out of Inferno's grasp. Feris' neck was cut slightly, but not enough to cause alarm. His hand was bleeeding well enough though. As Feris escaped, he kicked his vibrosword that was on the ground. Feris tumbled in a roll on the ground picking up his weapon and rising to his feet in one smooth motion. Feris quickly ripped a strip of cloth away from his robe and tied it around his right hand. Feris would fight southpaw for the remainder of the fight.

Feris was facing a fair opponent and worthy adversary. This was clear now.

"I applaude your move Jedi, you are very skillful." Feris said with humility. Inferno may have noticed that Feris' mouth did not move when he spoke. Not unless he spoke with emotion...

Feris awaited the Jedi's next move in a defensive position with his blade ready to block blows to his torso.

Inferno gathered himself from the blow. Slowly he grabbed the blade off the ground and stood up. The pain and implications from such a blow started to ware off. Inferno then got in the same stance but with different hands and now in a normal stance as opposed to Ferri’s South Paw. Inferno knew what he must do to defeat this opponent. Squeezed his glove in his right hands for a second. Inferno wasn’t going to wait for the Sith to decide to the tempo for this match anymore. Inferno charged at his opponent. Half way to Ferris Inferno did a no handed cartwheel while twisting he landed with his back to Ferris about foot out of striking distance. Inferno continued this momentum and flipped back wards over the Sith disappearing in the air over him. A brown image fell behind the Sith

Feris swung his vibrosword directly at the brown image behind him, expecting to make contact with the foolish Jedi.

Feris was not surprised by the Jedi's moves. In fact he watch the man jump high into the air and Feris already was preparing to slice backwards, hopefully dutting the young Jedi in two.

But Feris had a puzzled look upon his face upon turning and attacking...

Inferno secured and secretly on a nearby wall reached down and grabbed a hand full of dust from the ground. He saw that confusion on Ferris as Inferno jumped off the wall and landed in his original spot behind Ferris. Inferno kicked at Ferris’s legs and then soon after swung downward on the back of Ferris. Inferno kept the dirt in his hand as he swung with the other hand.

Feris was utterly confused! He fell for the Jedi's trick and suffered a kick and slice to the back. Feris stumbled away from the Jedi clutching his back, grabbing it in pain. His back began to bleed lightly threw the robes, but the wound wasn't life threatening.

"I never thought I would see the day a Jedi would stab me in the back. How did that make you feel? You feel the fight is going well for you? I don't know if I could disagree with you at this point..." Feris said playfully

Feris got back into a defensive stance and starred at his opponent from behind the pale prosthetic face, pointing his sword at the Jedi.

"Well if you aren't going to talk to me, then attack me already!" Feris said with disdain...

Inferno was satisfied with his attack. He knew the cut would decrease Ferris’s mobility and the pain would only worsen as he moved. He had to get him to stretch the cut out while making an attempt to end this fight as quickly as possible.

Inferno ran towards Ferris. Only a few feet away Inferno spun around several times before coming in striking distance. He spun once in the striking zone before he released the dust in his hand at Ferris’s face. Rolling to the side Inferno sliced high and then low continued relentlessly while the dust could affect Ferris’s eye site.

A pile of dirt and dust slapped Feris in the face, but it never seemed to affect his vision. Feris easily parried the spinning attack and turned with Inferno as he rolled to the side. Feris blocked the high, then low attacks and the wild attacks that followed suit.

"Nice trick. The old dirt-in-the-face trick, huh? I am finding that you are full of tricks. But it would take true skill to defeat me, and in that, you are deficient!" Feris mocked the Jedi.

Feris waited for another attack and when the Jedi swung once more, Feris smacked the Jedi's sword away throwing him off-balance for a moment. Feris capatolized on this...

Feris threw the point of his sword at the Jedi's shoulder, surely this blow would land.

Feris also threw a hard right hook, despite the injury suffered in that hand before.

Feris continued with a few half-hearted swings of his blade, but by then the Jedi would have been nack into his stance and completly on-balance...

Inferno felt the stab to his shoulder painful and deep. Luckily for Inferno his had enough layers of clothing no to hold the bleeding for some time. Inferno blocked the rest of the Sith’s blows. Inferno then immediately retreated several step away from the Sith clutching his shoulder for several seconds. Looking to his pouch he reached inside and found nothing of use to stop the bleeding. In a panic Inferno ribbed off his clothe belt. Then looking at the Sith he glared for several seconds while wrapping the cloth around his fingers. Soon after he plunged the ball into the wound just enough to hold the ball of clothe. He warp the remaining clothe around his shoulder and picked up his sword trembling from the pain in his arm. He then immediately ripped of his shirt and vest leaving his only his boots, pants and gauntlets on.

I must calm myself and in this I will win and this wound will heal in time. Inferno thought

Inferno took a deep breath and let it out slowly imaging the pain leaving his body. He focused in on the Sith blocking his mind from his shoulder. He knew something wasn’t right about this person the dirt didn’t affect his eye and when he talks most of the time his mouth didn’t move. Inferno went into a new stance. He leaned his torso over just a bit and let his left arm hang freely in front of him ready to punch or grab if needed. His left arm was held above his shoulder clutching the sword as it rested against his back. His feet were spread wide for power
