The starship images you posted got me interested. I might have a character concept that might fit in. I'll shoot you a pm once i'm home. Till then could you send of a copy of the draft so that I could gauge how well my character would fit in?

I actually had an unusual idea for an independent group. It would be a group of Sith who, instead of following the power-hungry Sith that took over the Empire, stayed separate and instead focused on strength in using the Dark Side. Sort of like following the teachings of Darth Vectivus(so far as I know the only Sith lord who was not power-hungry).

The Sith in this timeline will focus on the strength of the dark side. Its a central tenet of Sith philosophy and training. Secondly, whether Darth Vectivus existed or was just crap fed to Jacen Solo by Lumiya is debatable. By her description of him, at least, he was far from your typical Sith Lord.

You don't understand. The dark side of the Force usually leads to a lust for powers. Focusing on the dark side =/= lack of a lust for power. Sith are Sith, they're going to have a lust for power. That's just how they are.

What I was saying is that Vectivus hasn't been proven to be a Sith Lord. For all we know, Lumiya made that story up to turn Jacen to the dark side.

If your going to play a dark sider that doesn't lust for power, at the very least you aren't playing a Sith but some other kind of dark sider. You could potentially start such a group, but you won't call them Sith and would want to distant yourself from the sith in design. You would have to be good at writing when you went about creating their motives and ambitions.

They also wouldn't be fully dark sided, because it's just unrealistic to play a character who has immersed themselves in the dark side but doesn't have a lust for power.

But if they were isolated enough, their possibilities for power would be limited so they'd merely try to dominate an enclave of fellow dark siders rather than try and control the galaxy.
