"And... and I believe that concludes my report, Councilors."

Fennex bowed his head respectfully , paws and datapad held behind his back as he waited for acknowledgement or follow up questions, the chamber temporarily filled only with the sound of distant crashing waves and the muffled squawk of sea-birds.

Not everything had gone entirely according to plan, to be sure. When Fennex had set out on this task, no one had been entirely sure what to expect, and that really hadn't changed right up until the end. The Jedi Master had expected to assemble his team, conduct a thorough investigation, and then act accordingly on whatever he discovered. that plan had gone straight out the window when Silas and Isola landed here on Tython, throwing them all for a hyper-loop. Instead of a thorough investigation, Fennex had ended up with an imprisoned Exile and his little apprentice, a former Jedi Master fallen off the wagon in love, and a whole mess of complex emotions.

In the end, though, things had worked out as best as Fennex could realistically expect. Ralaa Talus decided to return to the Jedi, a Knight instead of a Master, and struggling to reconcile her actions with who she wanted to be, but she was alive and unharmed and was committed to remaining a Jedi. Silas and Isola had safely departed Tython, with a strong admonishment to call before showing up uninvited next time. Silas... unfortunately, Fennex considered the man too far gone to teach, but not beyond hope. He harbored far too much resentment and anger against the Order to see or think clearly, but there was only so much to be done on that front. The girl was less poisoned by her teachers baggage, and Fennex still thought she might return here some day. Most importantly, everything had been managed without violence. Tenseness and a few harsh words here and there, but no blood had been spilled. Galahad and Fiona had performed admirably, and they and Fennex had all faced difficult situation and learned much about themselves- or so he hoped.

It may not have been all the great things that Fennex had hoped for, but yes, he was content with this outcome. Hopefully the council agreed. It had been a long and difficult few weeks for himself and his team, and he would like nothing more than to go sit somewhere quiet and thoroughly medidtate on all of these events.

The Caretaker listened closely as the small fox master discussed his latest report. He was thorough in his report and covered many details of everything that had transpired between himself, Isola, Silas, Ralaa, and of course Galahad and Fiona. The Master Zeerda had put on a brave face, it wasn't hard to tell that at all. But given his extensive training, Bruce could truly see the wear and tear on his small little furry friend. "Thank you, Master Zeerda - for your service and your report." The bardottan began, "It is a tragic tale to be sure, one that will certainly take time to evaluate and sort through, but a valuable lesson to learn. The former Exile known as Silas has not exactly had a smooth journey - that is certain. As for Knight Talus, she will have a very dark road ahead of her while she sort it all out." Bruce was just kind of repeating the information as a method of processing it but it also lead into one of the questions that sat on the surface of the saurian-like Councillor.

"Fennex, how are you? The path we put you on was not an easy path, I am sure you have faced some tough moments in this. Your well-being is of our utmost importance."

Maybe it was just the healer in him, or perhaps it was just his responsibility as a Councillor baring the prestigious burden of Caretaker of First Knowledge, but Bruce wanted to pull out the key point about the Master before they had decided to dive into any questions about the investigation. He could tell the uncertainty in Master Zeerda, and he wanted to ensure that this Master was going to be able to work through his own emotions, conflicts, decisions, and revelations. No task like this would ever be carried out with at least a scar or generate various questions to be sorted. If Fennex wouldn't admit and address the question now, it would certainly plague him and could lead him down a troubled path - or so the Caretaker thought.
