First LGBT character in new Canon.

Never said the LGBT community was the only one without legit representation.

I know, I'm just pointing it out. Sadly, they're being represented by a Lesbian character rather than any of the other options in the LGBT community. Lesbians are hardly the most controversial or stigmatized and won't have a tangible impact, I feel. We'll have to wait and see what her sexuality means for her character and why it was necessary to elaborate on the characters sexuality to begin with...

Both Mass Effect and Dragon Age has had homosexual relationships in them, and in game, it seems to be treated like it's not an issue.

And yet TOR skipped on it.

And yet TOR skipped on it.

That was mostly due to LucasArts/LucasFilm dragging their heels on it. They have always been skittish on that subject.

Disney on the other hand, has always been one of the main champions of the LGBTQAP cause within the corporate world and media, so I'd say that we could expect to see far more of it in the future. Which I find a good thing.
