Felucia, a planet from orbit of pristine beauty, one if the few black widows of the galaxy. Felucia draws in travelers from across the known galaxy to her surface with promise of undiscovered secrets or unsolved mysteries. That is precisely when many unsuspecting or over confident beings meet their horrible end on the planets cruel face, Felucia is one of her own monsters.

Cato, had been utterly alone on Felucia for nearly a month now, the solitude was overwhelming at time but he had learned to adjust. The young boy had set himself up a fine shelter, the outer layer rigged with all sorts of cruel traps or devious deceptions designed to lead intruders or predators away from the encampment. Cato sat down beside his small fire, it's light chased away the darkness of night and all the creatures that came with it. Cato looked nervously towards his make shift shelter with his one good eye, the supplies he had scavenged nearly a week ago from the Ja'hailir transport were almost depleted and Cato knew instinctively he couldn't risk another trip into the ship.

The ship had become a breeding ground for these creatures, the radiation from the ships hyperdrive attracted them like moths to a flame. Cato wished he could make it to the armory inside of the darkened vessel but he knew the odds were against him, the monsters were faster, bigger, and stronger then he was, they would kill him.

Instead, Cato knew he would be spending the day tomorrow digging several pitfalls to trap prey, and begin gathering roots to have his fibers. The next day would be long, hard, and tiring but that was every day on this hellish planet, that was life here on Felucia.

(Ooc: this is a flashback that reaches 7 years into the past, if you want to participate please pm me your character's reasonings for being there and goals inside the rp)

Why of all the planets had the clan Ja'hailir been assigned to a mission on Felucia, it wasn't a planet that was worth the attention it got. But still, they had gone their for a mission, though not long after they had arrived there. They had stopped reporting back to command as they had been ordered to do, it had almost been a month since they had stopped reporting in. This was the cause for clan Ordo to send someone to find out what happened, and to get some answers from those that still was alive. If anyone was alive.
Entering orbit of the planet Cabur starting watching the monitors for a signal of some sort, anything that could lead to the discovery of the location to where the ship had landed. Shutting down all systems beside the ones that was necessary for the scanning of the planet and tracking of any kind of signal, he simply waited for it to find something.
Standing up from the seat he walked away from the cockpit, deciding it would be best if he geared up before landing on the planet. Taking with him most of his equipment he left the jetpack by the entrance ramp, along with the carbine which he used. Before making his way up to the bridge area again, taking a seat he sighed and watched the screens for several seconds. Waiting for the one bleep that would indicate that the computer had found something he could use.

“BLEEEEP!!!”

That single sound sparked a flame in Caburs eyes, finally something that he could use. Switching his focus to the screen from which the signal came from, he used hid hands to bring it up on the main display. The entire canopy protecting him from space, it was now a display that projected the location of where they had landed, the location of their ship. Walking up to the canoopy he studied the planet, all while making small taps on the wrist computer. Controlling the ship while standing there, plotting it's course and where on the planet it would land.
Five minutes, that was all that it had taken for him to decide what the best course of action would be. And in those five minutes he had made up several plans in his head, and landed the ship at a safe location.

Standing at the boarding ramp he picked up the jetpack and attached it to his back before sliding the helmet on, lastly before opening the door he picked up his carbine. Looking over the area where he had landed he instantly pulled up his carbine, ready to fire at anything that could have been there. Moving out slowly he kept his senses on edge, and was ready to shoot anything that showed up if it proved to be hostile. Once he had cleared the ship a simple word was all that it took to make the door close and the ramp withdraw.
Lowering the carbine somewhat Cabur started to move towards the position from which the signal was emitting, if anyone was alive he would find them. If not, well, then he would just have to do his best to find those that was still alive, if anyone still was alive.

Cato's eye caught a glimmer in the sky, to him the ship entering the atmosphere seemed like a shooting star, Cato sighed and wished he could escape this hellish nightmare, or turn back time and prevent this from happening. He tightened the bandana that protected his left eye's empty socket from insects and laid back, that is when he noticed that the "shooting star" hadn't simply flickered out. No, this "star" continued to burn through the sky, slowly taking form in Felucian night. Cato propped his body up on his arms, he leaned in, his eye tracked the movement of the star and its projection. He knew where it was headed, and he had to make it their first.

Cato grabbed his makeshift spears, his survival vibroknife, and a small jar filled with bull rancor urine. He tore through the depths of Felucia, heading straight for the transport he had arrived in, heading straight for the source of his nightmares. Cato, stood at the edge of the brush, he would save the jar of rancor piss for more urgent time, the scent of the apex predator would scare away everything planet side, a valuable weapon to have. Instead, Cato poured a little into his hand and rubbed the urine on his jacket, the pungent odor caused him to gag, but the effects on the native monsters was immediate, they screeched out warnings before bolting for the jungle.

Cato smiled as he emerged from the jungle, a few of the smaller children of the natives had been left behind, they would be a food source of Cato now. A single stab with his spear was all it took, now Cato had meals for a time. His attention then returned to the "star", it began to take form as it rapidly approached the downed transport., Cato stared in disbelief his wish had come true, it was a ship.

Then a thought crossed his mind, a single word "slavers", perhaps whoever was here was not friendly! Perhaps they would kill him! Cato couldn't take any chances, he darted for the brush, tossing his jacket as he ran with his kills. He would watch as a strange man exited his ship, a strange man in familiar armor, a Mandalorian.

As he walked towards the ship that the clan had arrived in he scanned the area over and over to get a geographical map of the area, it would help him navigate through the wildlife around here. Though then again, he could have done it with the help of the ship. But it would attract attention if he let the scanners keep on scanning, he didn't want the ship to be discovered by anyone. Even if he doubted that there was anyone else beside him here. Shaking his head Cabur sighed, he was starting to become paranoid. Punching the helmet three times he got those thoughts out of his head, he needed to be calm. Even if it was a simple search mission.
Still, there was something in the back of his head that told him that he was being watched. An annoying thing, he already knew that he was being watched. But he didn't know what was watching him.

Coming out in the clearing where the ship was Cabur raised his carbine as he saw bones, who's bones they were he couldn't be sure of right now. But he would soon find out what sort of bone it was, walking slowly towards the ship he took a knee next to a bone and removed on of his hands and held it over the bone. Letting the scanner built into his hand scan it and do a reconstruction of what it belonged on his HuD, standing up after the scanning he was complete he aimed towards the entrance of the ship. As the holographic picture of what the bone had belonged to his pupils dilated, it was the bone of a human child. No more then seven years old by judging from the size of the skeleton pictured in his helmet. What the kriff had happened here, taking a step backwards Cabur froze at the sound of a crushing sound. Looking down he saw that he had stepped on another bone, for a few seconds he stood there frozen.

Forcing himself to snap out of it he took a deep breath and focused on the entrance of the ship, trying to get a response from anyone left inside he ship he waited aiming towards the entrance. Waiting for a few minutes before taking out a flame grenade and threw it so that it landed just outside the ship. Before picking up a flashbang and sonic grenade, what ever was inside of that ship wasn't friendly, and what ever it was, it had killed those that had been sent here. Throwing both the flashbang and sonic grenade into the ship he raised his carbine, aiming at the flame grenade, what ever was coming out of that ship would be burnt. A bright light and a sonic boom was heard and seen from inside the ship.

The first few seconds after the detonation everything was silent, then a roar and growling started to be heard from the inside of the ship. And several humanoid figures showed themselves at the entrance, walking towards him. Fingers twitching he was waiting for them to step by the grenade. Only two more steps, then you are going down. Cabur thought for himself as he saw the first passing by the grenade, waiting another second before yelling at the creatures he fired one shot at the grenade. Causing it to burst into flames and consume everything within a six meter radius, it's flaming burning through the skins of what ever those creatures had been. Looking at the smoldering corpses Cabur relaxed for a second, before turning around and starting to walk away. What ever those thing was, it had most likely killed the clan. Otherwise he would have gotten a reply from the coms.

The young Cato watched as a strange man walked into the small clearing where the monsters had made their home, he wore the armor of a warrior, but Cato didn't recognize him as Vod, as a matter of fact he didn't recognize him at all. Cato crouched down a bit more and watched this stranger through the thick brush, Cato watched as the man crushed the bones of the dead underfoot, he gritted his teeth in anger. Such open disrespect of the dead wouldn't go unavenged. It was the strange warrior's next actions that surprised Cato, the grenades that were lobbed into the ship, and the elimination of the creatures. Cato was torn, he was glad to bear witness to their demise but at the same time he knew the weapons cache inside the ship could be compromised, Cato cursed under his breath before turning to leave.

Whither it had been dropping his guard or simple carelessness, Cato did something that under normal circumstances could have killed him. As Cato turned to leave he ignored his surroundings, some Felucia never repaid kindly, his foot heavily fell on the ground, and Felucia repaid it by placing a dried stick in his path, it crunched under his foot. Cato froze, he knew his position was compromised there was only one thing he could do, run!

Cato tore through the brush, leaping over several if his premade traps strung on trip wires or deep falls covered by a layer of twig and leaf. He ran for his camp, he ran to his home, he ran for survival.

The crushing sound a a branch getting stepped on was caught up by the helmets systems, and instantly alerted Cabur that something was close by. A small arrow pointed towards the point of origin for the noise, turning quickly he faced towards the direction and waited. Letting his helmet scan for life signs in the direction, one one was found. Wondering what it was he drew closer to it's location, managing to capture a glimpse of what it was the second before it started to run. It was a human.

Instead of just standing there Cabur darted after, he did not want to loose this trace. If it really had been a human, then the person might know something about what the kriff had happened here. If he got some real luck, the person would be a member of the clan that had been sent here.

Running through the bushes he was constantly aware for any sudden changes in the terrain, he didn't want to lose to this person. He had to catch up. But unfortunately for him, he failed to notice one of the many traps that the kid had set up. A simple trip wire, that when it snapped caused a large bent back limbs with sharpened spikes on the end come flying towards him. With little to no time to react, he jumped into the air to lower to preasure that was put on his chest plate. Sending him flying from the impact one or two meters, but rather that then to risk having the spikes penetreate the armor. Laying on his back Cabur sighed.
"Yepp, definetly a human." he said and groaned as he stood up, inspecting the limbs with the spikes on them. Crudely made, but they would do the job against any unarmed intruder. He was at least on the right track.

Instead of continuing to run after the human, Cabur decide that it would be best if he walked carefully, tracking the kid as he would track a animal. That way he would be able to aviod getting caught up in any more traps. And so began his walk that would end at the kids camp, though that was unkown to him at this moment.

Cato arrived at his camp, tired and out of breath he immediately raced into his makeshift shelter and after a moment came out with a Transhodian Blaster Pistol. His eye scanned the trees, until he found one with enough brush to give him coverage, while giving him a clean shot to the center of the camp. Cato scaled the tree in a matter of seconds, he had used this tactic to blind a juvenile Rancor once, pursuers rarely looked up, this was a fact Cato learned from experience.

Cato waited in the tree for what seemed like hours, laying on the branch in a prone position, the leaves would cover him almost completely, the ambush SHOULD go without a hitch. Cato tried to regulate his nervous breathing to provide a more accurate shot, but he found it nearly impossible to do so, for what felt like an hour all he heard was the sound of his heart beat in his ears.

Come on, come on... He whispered

Slinging the rifle over his shoulder Cabur continued to track the kids footsteps that would lead him to where his camp was, taking his time to do so as he didn't want to end up in another trap. Treading carefully he walked the path that the footprints lead him, how long it would take for him to get to the camp was irrelevant. The longer it took for him, the better to be honest. Because if the kid would lay in wait for him, he would need to be constantly alert at all time not to miss him. Causing him to sooner or later crack under the pressure of needing to stay hidden for so long without any form of result, and in the end. It would make so that he showed himself.

Looking down on the ground Cabur stopped and withdrew his foot, if he had taken that step he would have fallen down a trap of some sort it seemed to him. Kneeling down in front of it, he took out the carbine and punched at the ground with the stock. Making it so that the trap sprung, and the ground collapsed at the point. Revealing the trap that was hidden beneath the layer of branches and leaves, a simple yet effective trap against most kind of animals. But not very effective against a trained mandalorian.

Shaking his head he stood up again and walked around the trap , continuing his walk yet again. But instead of walking on the path that the kid had been so kind to make for him, Cabur went on the side of it. Staying hidden in the shadows to avoid being seen in case the kid decided to come and look for him.

It took him well, he didn't even know how long it took him to finally get to the kids camp. But when he had localized it, instead of walking into it he took up a position a few meters into the thick bushes that surrounded the camp. And waited for the kid to grow tired of actually waiting for him, unlike the kid. He could wait and persevere for hours, even days if he had to.
