The Church of the Will of the Yahm had been completed for almost two years now. Shortly after Marcus delivered the machine for Arsolyn, they began to date. Over the five year period what started as infrequent lunches and sneaking away from boring functions they both attended, grew into a serious relationship. Arsolyn had become very fond of Marcus and she felt like he filled in the part of her life which was missing.

Arsolyn never pressed or asked how he felt about her. Arsolyn knew Marcus was not the type of man who liked talking about his feelings. So she allowed him to share only as much of his feelings as he wished to share. Arsolyn assumed he was happy with her as well, because he continued to see her and she hadn't heard of other women beyond his stepdaughter.

Marcus made his feelings clearly known to Arsolyn one evening in particular, and she remembered it well. It had been a cloudy night about six months ago. The pair had been walking around in the middle of the night. They were on the same piece of ground the Church stands upon, now.

Arsolyn was able to reconcile the fact that Marcus didn't agree with her religion. Truth be told, he probably hated this church and her religion. Arsolyn was okay with this because for once in her life, it was nice to have something separate from the Church. Early in their relationship she had tried to sabotage it by talking extensively about the church. Even if Marcus only retained a minute fraction of what she said, he would still be considered knowledgeable about how the church operates and what it believes in. To his credit he stayed through Arsolyn 's lectures and slowly she gained more confidence that he wouldn't just disappear one day and leave her alone.

Then, Marcus proposed on the grounds of the Church. Arsolyn was so shocked and happy that she almost couldn't speak. She eventually calmed down enough to say yes. The proposal was kept secret for a week before it was the rumor of the community. Arsolyn's past xenophobic tendencies are largely past her now and she has come to realize that all beings can contribute and all beings have merits.

She is currently alone in her dressing room, obsessing over her reflection in the mirror. Although, many hours of preparation have gone into her appearance she stared at her reflection trying to find a flaw to correct. Just now, her soon-to-be husband would be on his way to stand in front of the crowd that filled her church. It seemed like everyone was here.

Arsolyn was used to being in front of a crowd, but this was unlike anything she had previously experienced. She found herself flashing back to techniques she used to prepare for a sermon, but even those did not help.

Arsolyn tried to relax. She had put on a small amount of weight in the five years since the cradle had been delivered. It's addition made the slaves fall in line much quicker then she even anticipated. She was confident in them now and the vast majority had been transferred under Apophe's control. Her slaves were still in training.

Why was Arsolyn thinking about slaves?! Any minute now Apophe would be summoning her so she could walk her down the aisle, and give her away. Why did someone have to give her away, as if she were a possession. Don't do that, she told herself, relax.

A wedding! Oh how exciting! Evelyn loved weddings and everything about weddings. Two beings becoming joined together in the eyes of their family and friends. A bond more sacred than any other. Oh how she envied the girl. Evelyn was in her own relationship, only hers to a Mandalorian. They'd been dating some....three years? Was that right? Maybe less. Time seemed like it flew sometimes. It was a shame that he couldn't attend today. He had his own duties with the growing Mandalorian Dominion.

Sitting in the stands with the rest of the guests, Evelyn had a rather close up spot due to her rank as Grand Master in the Order of the Outsider. Quite a feat within the church and a well respected position. As such, she had to look her best. Ditching the normal sleek armor she liked to wear, she'd come today with an elegant dress that still held up her sex appeal. The dress was a thick fabric in a dark green color to match her eyes. It held up at the shoulders, curved down around her chest, and then fell flat at her thighs. Underneath the dress she wore a slightly see through mesh material that was darker the further away you happened to be. But up close her skin was indeed visible. Though weapons were likely be prohibited on such an occasion, Evelyn knew she wouldn't be searched and thus held two flat daggers against her inner thighs with a cloth strap. Girls could never be too careful.

Markus withdrew the handkerchief from his mouth and stared at the crimson specks on the otherwise snow-white piece of fabric. He wondered to himself if taking this next step in his relationship with Arysolyn was the right choice to make. Admittedly he began dating her as a way to safeguard his position in Yahm society he slowly began to fall in to actual love with the silly girl. Although he held nothing but disdain for her wacky religion he still attended some of her sermons, granted when she wasn't speaking he kinda just zoned out; whether this was due to his disease or sheer boredom is anyone's guess.

Markus didn't want anyone to know about it but after an extreme bout of pain seemingly brought on by nothing he had himself examined by an off world doctor and discovered that he had Quannot's Syndrome, a debilitating and ultimately fatal disease that caused immense pain to its victims. He kept his disease in check with a cocktail of chemicals which had a wide variety of side effects but for the moment anyways he was pain free.

Markus shelved that thought and crammed the handkerchief back into the pocket of his suit as he waited at the alter for the part of the ceremony where his bride to be was suppose to present herself.

Her baby cousin was getting married. Apophe could hardly believe it. The age difference in them wasn't so great, of course, Apophe was only two years older than Arsolyn. But she had always had trouble remembering that. Something about Arsolyn, despite all the darker aspects of her, reminded Apophe of the little girl she had known from childhood. Apophe was happy for Arsolyn, glad that her cousin would be marrying one of her best friends. She wondered if they'd give her any nieces or nephews.

She was dressed in her royal finery, a long fur cape with silken blue robes and her royal crown. As Queen of the Yahm, it was her duty to give her royal blessing to the marriage of any member of the KeYahm or their extended family. She adjusted her crown, staring into the mirror, looking at her make-up. This was the most elaborate she had ever done with her face. Rouge, grey eyeshadow, lips painted red and dark eyeliner. She had to look good for this wedding, or else she felt she'd be insulting Markus and Arsolyn.

She took a deep breath, moving towards the room where she would find her cousin. Her talons clacked on the steel beneath her, and she smiled to herself, hoping to force herself to feel less anxious. Lynnie is getting married, she thought. No big deal. Had to happen sooner or later.

She arrived at the door to the dressing room, holding a breath for a moment. Then, she opened the door, smiling. "Hey, there's the bride," she said, stepping in. "Almost time."
