Somewhere, Florn

As the young Togruta slowly came to consciousness, not remembering where was, or why she felt like like she did, she was overcome by senses that were on edge. The light burned her eyes, too bright for her to handle with the slowly receding headache that had her gripped in its grip. Raising a hand to cover her eyes, she blinked rapidly as she slowly pushed herself to a sitting position. Her throat was dry, and the need to find water pushed away every other thought from her mind. Getting to her feet, she stubbled through the forest floor, trying her best to not trip over roots as she pushed away the questions that came with the discovery of where she was. She made her way to a nearby shrub, spotting leaves with some moisture on them, and managed to get barely a mouthful of water. But to her parched throat that was enough, enough to let her focus and actually take stock of where she was.

As she walked around, memories started returning to her. The invitation from the supposed Count, another acolyte with an inflated sense of ego. The feast he had set out for them, being offered a drink, and then nothingness as she had felt something take hold. Realization dawned as she finally pieced things together, she had been drugged. But she hadn't been alone, there had been others. She remembered many faces, some she knew, many she didn't. She had no weapons on her, and the Force was still beyond her with the throbbing pain in her head. She needed to find the others, if they were nearby, there was safety in numbers.

"Hello!" She called out as she started moving, not really sure where to look so picking a direction in random. "Can anyone hear me?"

How long had it been since her harrowing escape from the infected on Nar Shaddaa? Three days, a week, a forthnight? Lana wasn't sure but every time she closed her eyes she was right there again. Her parents pushing her in the trash chute with the infected barging into their apartment, the seemingly endless fall and then those eyes.. the eyes of the Cathar that found her, took one good look at her and decided to sell her off quicker than the anti-slavery syndicate that ruled the moon could protest.

She was right there again when she heard a sound she couldn't place and she opened her eyes. Her clothes were wet from the jungle's humidity and all around her a cacophony of sound erupted as the local fauna went about their lives. Lana's hand went to her head, "By the-" it felt cold to the touch and for a moment seemed to alleviate the throbbing headache she felt from as the spice haze she'd been put on during travel was not only leaving her body, but also telling her head she needed more spice. A throbbing she felt not just in her head, but also on the skin around the puncture marks.

It took her a moment to focus to the world around her, the jungle, the sounds and the fact that for some reason she'd been left alone. Was this her chance at escape? Did they forget about her? "Eh-hello?" she muttered, but the moment she opened her mouth she reconsidered it. What if they're near, the slavers, and she woke up before she was supposed to.. this was the perfect moment to take a run for it!

The young Zeltron pushed herself up from the ground and to her two feet. Bit wobbly, but with determination and a confidence she hadn't felt since before her sister died, so she started to move forwards.

There was light filtering in through the canopy, though the thickness of the foliage let only a handful of rays through the leaves. They were blurry, shapeless, and glowed a warm yellow hue in comparison to the muddy browns and greens that dominated the rest of her vision. Her body felt heavy like head and her tongue was stuck to the roof of her parched mouth. Discomforted by the feeling, Malou turned over and reached for a glass of water. Instead of the smooth, crystal surface of glass, her fingers brushed against the rough, moist texture of a muddy root.

It was then that the fog began to clear from her mind. Startled, Malou shot up. She was seated in the midst of a forest made of thick foliage and tall, undefined tree shapes. Slowly a hand raised to her face and caressed her cheek, touching skin where fabric should've been. The color, undefined shape, and distinction between light and dark made sense to her then. Malou closed her eyes, and with that, received clarity of mind.

The miralukan girl stood and searched the now colorless landscape around her. She noted the towering trees with moss-covered bark, and the countless branches which dominated any space ten feet above the ground. The air was humid; the ground was moist. It was not hot, at least.

Malou rubbed her temples as she tried to recall how she'd gotten her. Vague, fuzzy memories of meeting the son of a Count appeared. 'Or was he the Count?' All she remembered for certain was that he had struck a nerve, and the image of his egotistical smirk was burned into her memory. They had drank and feasted; that was the last thing she could remember.

"Damn you." Anger had begun to warm her chest, but the words that might've betrayed such an emotion were instead hoarse, dry, and unable to be spoken louder than a whisper coming from her parched throat. There were various puddles nearby, but the acolyte knew well enough not to cup her hands an sip from stagnant water. 'I need to find a stream, or freshwater somewhere.'

The miralukan teen, before she set off to find a source of water, reached down to her belt. Her hand, which had expected the familiar metal hilt of her saber, felt only the fabric of her robes. 'They took my saber!' Her face scrunched up in frustration. '...and my blindfold. Why did they take my blindfold?'

Malou reached further down to the hem of her robes and tugged with both hands, ripping a strip of fabric long enough to tie around her eyes. She didn't need the blindfold to use the Sight, but it made it easier for her not to open her eyes instinctively when she was surprised, etc.

"Hello! Can anyone hear me?"

Ashla's voice reached Malou's ears then, and the togruta's familiar voice did not slip her attention. Immediately she searched the forest, her body going still as she surveyed the land around her until she found the other acolyte amongst shrubbery half a kilometer away. Quickly, and without another thought, Malou headed off straight for her. Her own voice was too hoarse to yell.

"Ashla!" Malou only spoke when the togruta was close enough to spot the miralukan coming through the trees. It appeared that they both looked worse for wear. "What happened?"

Zoella's eyelids fluttered open, her green eyes gradually adjusting to the light that streamed through the canopy of trees. Lying supine, the Acolyte stared up at the branches that forked across the sky and the vines that dangled casually from them. A golden pheasant perched atop a branch stared down at her, tilting its head with curiosity.

The next sensation the Acolyte became aware of was the wonderful chorus of noises that resounded through the jungle. A collection of humming, buzzing, and chirping from the creatures that inhabited this place. The warm sun against her pale skin and the sounds of the jungle were a combination most surreal. The Acolyte had to wonder if she was asleep, if she was dreaming.

Pain crept through her skull, permeating every inch of her head. It throbbed. Ached. Screamed for relief. Something hard was pressing into the small of her back, too—large, hard roots. The Acolyte sat up, raising a hand to her head.

This was not a dream.

A faint ache lingered in her joints, her clothing torn and dirty as if she'd been dumped into this jungle like a sack of potatoes. Slowly, the fog in her brain began to clear, and she recalled the events that had led up to this moment.

A fellow Acolyte. His mansion. A holocron. The last thing she could remember was the drink he had offered her, cool and refreshing as it had washed down her throat. Her throat— it was dry, hoarse even. A side-effect to whatever drug he had slipped her. Other Acolytes had gathered at the mansion last night, some of whom she knew. Had they met the same fate as she?

Clearly, Zoella had been dumped on some jungle planet, but which one? Felucia? Onderon? No, not Onderon. That was a jungle she would not forget.

The sound of footsteps broke Zoella's train of thought. She reached for her lightsaber, but it was gone. Those scum had thought of everything. Aching joints protesting, the Acolyte scrambled to her own two feet and hid behind a large tree.

As the sound of footsteps grew closer, Zoella reached down and plucked a sturdy branch from the jungle floor. Raising it high above her own head, she prepared to whack whoever (@Eccles ) it was over the head.

The forest was like any other. With a ground covered in leaves, while the trees stretched their branches towards the sky, in an effort to catch the sun's rays. The only abnormal thing in this place was the body that was slumped in the floor, among the mud and dead leaves.

Some of the sunlight passed through the tree's canopy, hitting Senin directly on the face. The Acolyte started to stirr, awaking from his sleep. His head was throbbing, it was probably one of the greatest hangovers that he ever had. Even worse than the time that he woke up in the middle of several people after a party at Zeltros.

He slowly sat on the forest floor, bringing his hand to his head. After the throbbing diminished, Senin looked around. The Acolyte widened his eyes when he noticed that he was in a forest. He couldn't remember how he had arrived there.

Senin only remembers that he was invited by a Count and his son, who apparently was an acolyte. He also remembers of a feast with much food and drinks, after that there was only darkness and he woke up in this forest.

"Aqueles desgraçados!" he screamed with anger, but soon regretted it. The effort made his head hurt even more. What were these people planning? He would kill them.

However, first he needed to find a way out of this place. Raising, Senin started to walk aimlessly through the forest. His only hope was to find someone that could help him.

After some time walking, the Acolyte heard a voice. Following it, he saw two girls. He could easily identify one of them as a Zeltron. Deciding that they were his best chance for help, Senin decided to approach them "Hello, do any of you two know how to leave this place?"

The more steps Lana took the quicker she took them and after twenty steps she was already dashing through the jungle away from the direction she thought the slavers would be. She looked back once, but when she turned her head to see where she was running towards she was surprised by a branch to her face with a force that landed her right on her butt.

The branch' imprint on her face was already reddening her skin as she looked up towards her attacker, expecting to see a Trandoshan slaver, but being utterly confused to see it was a young human that seemed as out of place in the jungle as she did. "Don't-" she began, but was interrupted by the arrival of another young human. It took Lana a moment, but when she considered she was left out here in the jungle, herself a teenager, and these two humans were as well.. unarmed and confused.. kriff. She hadn't been forgotten down here. "Tell me," the whimper with which she first started had disappeared, "Did you guys just wake up in this jungle, too?"

By the Force she hoped she was wrong. Let them be locals from a nearby village..

Sol woke up in a tree. That part wasn't all that unusual, actually, it happened pretty often. The problem was he didn't remember how he'd gotten into the tree. Ocean eyes blinked open as he sat up, squinting through rays of painful sunlight filtered through the canopy above. Immediately he noticed his stuff was missing. Leaves and branches were searched through to no avail, a mighty scowl on the kid's face that was worsened immensely by his pounding headache.

Grumpily he vaguely recalled some kind of meeting about some kind of thing that he'd tagged along on. Some other smug acolyte. And now Sol was here. His head darted around, not seeing anyone else, unsure of what to do next. Then he heard a voice calling out. Keeping to the trees he made his way toward the sound, clambering along with the vigor of youth until he spotted a growing group of people.

He'd been in the middle of making his way down when, just in time, a lady got slapped in the face by a wielded branch. Sol waited an extra few moments to see if something dramatic would happen. Then he made his presence known, somewhere in the branches above Ashla and Malou, by knocking on the branch he clung to.

One second Soren is resting on a couch reading a book, then everything went black. Next thing he knew he was waking up in a random forest. Trees, and tall grass and brush all over. Confusion began to sink in. Where was he? Who brought him here? Why did they bring him here? Any sort of clue would have been much appreciated right now.

Soren stood to his feet feeling a slight bit dizzy. He might have been drugged before he was brought here to ensure he stayed asleep. Looking around he hadn't seen anyone nearby. The boy was wondering if he was here alone. It would make sense. Leave him out here to get hunted down by big beasts or something. What planet was he even on? Going straight for his pocket to pul out his dataphone he realized it was missing. Great they took the things he would need for this.

Then a voice rang out from the echo of the trees. It sounded familiar like Ashla. Though he wasn't sure, then another voice called out asking if it was Ashla. Now he was much more sure he knew the people that were brought out here with him. Walking forward he would make way towards the voices. Seemed like his best bet for survival, sticking with the other people.

"Hello? It's me Soren! You friendly?"

Soren would begin to slowly make his way through the brush to reveal himself to the others. Hopefully they were his friends, he didn't want to be stuck with strangers. That usually doesn't ever go good in the horror movies on the holonet.

The Acolyte's aim struck true, and the interloper collapsed to the jungle floor below. Zoella did not credit any amount of abnormal dexterity to herself, but in this close proximity it was difficult to miss.

She stared down at the interloper, shocked to see it was a girl not much younger than herself. A Zeltron. Her dark hair hung loosely around her features, her green eyes staring up at Zoella with accusation.

Clearly, the teenager was just as much a victim here as Zoella was. "I'm afraid so," the Acolyte sighed, dropping her branch and extending a hand to the young girl. If the teenager would accept her helping hand, she would assist her to her feet. It was the least Zoella could do after she'd knocked her to the ground.

"The last thing I remember was taking a sip of something fruity. The next thing I know, I'm in the middle of a jungle."

The blonde teenager placed a hand to her throbbing head, green eyes scanning the clearing. At the other end, a figure emerged from the foliage. Tall and slender with unmistakable red, curly hair, Zoella recognized him almost immediately. He had worn a mask over his face at the Hallowe'en Ball, but it was the same Acolyte. The one who'd been tossed out just as Zoella had arrived.

"No idea," Zoella shrugged, crossing her arms for comfort. To the teenage girl she added, "Um... sorry about whacking you over the head."

On hearing someone approaching behind her Ashla whipped around, arms raised in fists, but let out a sigh of relief as recognition dawned as the figure came into view. "Malou," she began with genuine relief in her voice, stepping forward towards the blindfolded acolyte, "boy am I glad to see you." She came to a stop a few feet from Malou and her first instinct to give her a quick look over as she moved to see if she could spot any obvious injuries. "Your guess is as good as mine, last thing I remember was hearing the dinner bell, and then nothing." She would notice the patchwork blindfold, and the matching piece missing from her robe, and draw some conclusions about what had happened. "I'm guessing all your stuff is gone as well?"

She was about to say more when a sound from above drew their attention, and she immediately took a step back to open up room for Malou and her to fight if it came to that. Her gaze went up and she spotted the small figure among the branches. "Hello there." The words escaped almost on instinct, the young boy's innocent face and cute eyes triggering some protective instinct that didn't make her think of him as a threat, even though he very well could have been. Her own training should have reminded her how deadly even one as young as him could be. "Are you lost as well? Wanna come down and join us?" That was when another sound drew her attention, and convinced that this was most definitely an enemy, she swung around to spot a figure emerging from some branches. She recognized him, but at the same time her eyes were drawn to a patch of mostly conspicuous ground, just barely spotting something glint from under it. Some forgotten memory made the connection, and even if it took her a moment to realize what it was her subconscious knew.

"Stop!" She let out a shout to get Soren to stop, rushing forward with arm reaching out in warning. "It's a trap!" She pointed at the ground right in front of the bush Soren had emerged from, and gestured for him to walk around it as she stepped forward and poked at it with a stick. The trap snapped shut with a loud...snap, and cut clean through the stick. Ashla had no doubt that if any of them had got an arm or leg in there it would have cut right through the limb as well. "This wasn't made to capture an animal, it was supposed to maim. I don't have a good feeling about this."

Senin groaned when the Zeltron made her question. So they all were lost in this jungle, wonderful. "Yes. I woke up there. The last thing that I remember is that I was drinking something on a feast." he looked at the girls. The blond one seemed familiar. "Did we meet before?" he asked to her.

The Acolyte would look around. It was like the place where he woke up, Senin would groan again. There were only trees everywhere, no signal of a path that they could follow to leave this place.

"We need to find a way out of this place. Who knows what creatures can be lurking around this place." Places like that always made Senin nervous. He remembers how he would follow Maxim during one of his hunting trips on the Great Jungle of G’wenee and their guides would tell stories about dangerous animals living there. From giant wasps to the terrible yawara-etê.

"I think that the best that we can do now is start to walk. Maybe we will found a trail or someone that could help us." he said to the girl. When he left this place, Senin was going to kill who did to him.

Malou might've chuckled at Ashla's raised fist if she didn't feel like she'd clawed her way up from hell. She was glad to see Ashla was all in one piece though, and from the way the Togruta glanced her over it seemed Ashla was glad to see the same of her.

"Yeah, they didn't leave me with shit." Malou sounded a bit grumpy as she confirmed Ashla's question, and she pulled out the pockets on her robes to further emphasis the point. The Miralukan was not happy about the situation--no one was--but she was further irritated that her new set of silk dress robes had been ruined.

Malou then watched as Ashla reacted suddenly to a sound above them, bracing for a fight once again. She could see that it was a child, and Ashla came to that realization quickly. The Togruta then rushed off to stop Soren from stepping into a trap, so Malou reached her arms out towards the boy.

"Hop down, I'll catch you,"
she called out to him. The girl was not pleased that the child was here for multiple reasons. First of all, she was not excited to babysit him. Second of all, she could not believe the same people who had dumped her and Ashla here had also dumped a literal, actual child in the woods too.

It pissed her off just a bit.

However Soleil got down, whether it be caught in a Force-assisted catch by Malou or climbing down on his own, Malou would lead him to join Ashla and Soren by the trap. She stopped and crouched down near it, then ran a finger along the metal of the now deactivated device. As she was inspecting it, the Miralukan girl noticed a small electronic compartment located near the base of it. Though she could not see it, there was a red light that began to blink now that the trap had closed.

Walking forwards, Soren could see Ashla. It was a delight to see that she was here, though I guess not too much of a delight as she was also stuck here. So many ups and downs with the time being here. Behind Ashla was Malou, looking up towards the trees. A little odd, then again she is blind so maybe she's just stretching her neck. As Ashla was running toward Soren she called out for him to stop. Odd, but she seemed worried so of course Soren stopped. Then stepped around where Ashla was pointing.

A good thing he did as she said, he may have lost a foot. That trap was meant for causing pain, and weakening prey. Looking to cause as much damage as possible. Who would want to do this? Why them? As Soren was thinking to himself he he began backing away from the trap. Better to stay clear of the bushes and such. Looking over to see Malou, she was talking to someone in the tree. Interesting.

"Thank you Ashla! Glad to see a friendly face. You too Malou!"

Soren would wave at her as he spoke. Then he went to ask the question they had all been asking themselves this entire time.

"So does anyone know where we are? Maybe why we're here? And why I don't have my dataphone nor lightsaber?"

Hopefully losing his weapon won't affect him getting a master. He had enough problems already, he didn't need to be masterless for too much longer. His face was showing some worry but mostly confusion, as expected. Seemed the others were confused as well but only a slight bit of hope rested within their group.

Ocean eyes stared at the Togruta woman who'd greeted him first. Maybe he was dangerous, maybe he wasn't, but he was no more armed than the rest of the gathered group. That might be why he seemed hesistant to drop down from from the treetops he perched upon. Not that he'd have been all that armed to begin with given he only had an ordinary knife to his name.

Ashla got pulled away by the arrival of a notably spiky-haired person and in her place a blindfolded lady called out to him next. Sol frowned and slipped from his branch, hanging by his fingers, and then dropped down for Malou to assist his fall. Once on the jungle floor he followed along slightly behind, stepping to the side to get a look at the trap that'd nearly snapped shut on Soren's leg.

It was blinking. Did snap traps usually do that? Either way, Sol didn't like it.

So he hit it with a rock. A dull thud-clang resounded as the child acolyte hefted a stone and smashed it against the blinking component without a word. That seemed to do the trick since it sparked a little then stopped blinking entirely. A few stray sparks scattered onto his sleeve and he hastily batted them off. Fortunately it'd worked since that little device had actually been an explosive, the cracked casing revealing a small block of detonite clay, now useless without an electronic trigger.

Less fortunately, the trap's trap was a trap of sorts. Disabling the explosive alerted something that whatever had triggered the trap wasn't some random animal. Something- or someone- would be sent to investigate.

Sol naturally knew none of this and was instead busy examining the device without a hint of fear, brows slightly furrowed with focused curiosity.
