In Commonwealth space, at Coiste-Bodhar, a private ship landed. Commonwealth employee Marl Odeff exited his ship and headed towards the ship known as Odin's Spear which would be shipping supplies off to Cyrillia.
From what records told security, Marl Odeff was a consultant hired by Triumvir Haven to inspect the shipment and ensure everything was satisfactory. The contractor made a simple tour of the supplies, first checking out the computers, which he uploaded new software that would help protect it from viruses, though held a trojan horse that could disable it.
Next, Marl Odeff headed toward the food. There, Marl planted the first of seven vials of a virus. Each virus was placed with a small explosive. It wouldn't destroy the virus, but would destroy the seal. When Marl was done, three had been placed in the food, two in the water, and two in the ducts.
Marl pretended to do other work, from searching the engines for rust to making sure the proper materials were accounted for. Upon completion, Marl told the captain he would stay aboard, to oversee the transaction on Cyrillia. The captain, Barrel, was a bit uneasy, but ultimately agreed.
