DESCRIPTION
For generations the lightsaber has been the item most identified with Jedi, Sith, and other Force using sects. It is well known for it ability to deflect the shots of a blaster, but that is not the only means for a Force user to accomplish this feat. For those who do not favor lightsabers, it is possible to use the Force itself to accomplish this task.

One of the most versatile defensive capabilities, Force Deflection has long been favored by Jedi due to its protective nature. Practitioners can use this ability to knock blaster bolts, rockets, or slugs off-course and defend themselves from the subsequent damage. It can also be used to redirect the Force-based attacks of an opponent.

Despite its many uses, Force Deflection is not without its drawbacks. Unlike a lightsaber, it is extremely difficult to predict the path that the deflected projectile will take. While the defender may be able to pick a general direction (to the left or right) based on the direction they move their arm or hand, this is all the control they can get. They are not able to accurately reflect a shot back toward an attacker.

Additionally, it is only possible to deflect one shot per use of deflection. Incoming fire from multiple people or multiple blasters simultaneously cannot be deflected with a single application of deflection. As with lightsaber deflection, if a user is not quick or careful enough they may find one of the shots bypass their defensive efforts.

INTENT
To flesh out Force powers to comply with the site's new rules without a level system. This is a guideline and should not be used for rule lawyering.
