Asminys walked from the guardhouse, satisfied with himself and his score in their little game. He had felt Demolly's anger as he surged ahead which gave him some small feeling of satisfaction. Running a circuit away from the guardhouse, he hit the patrol routes along the walls and around the gardens to eliminate any stragglers.

"Eight. Nine. Ten." He counted as he ran the walls, slaying the remaining guards there as they walked the overlook. From there he headed to the garden, a semi-maze like area that held what he assumed were prime specimens of various flora from wherever they might be from. He didn't really care.

"Eleven. Twelve." He counted as he cut down the unaware men who patrolled the garden, leaving them where they fell as he continued his deadly work. It was then that he sensed a stronger than normal projection of distress from inside the palace. Demolly must have found their quarry.

Making his way into the palace, he came to the small nursery where Demolly was grabbing at a child, most likely the child they had come for.

"Thirteen." He said as he reached out for the nanny who was beginning to come to her feet, a blaster pistol in hand. He squeezed his fist and she clutched at her throat, only for him to twist his hand in a way that resulted in a large crack echoing through the room as the nanny's head followed his hand. She hung limp in the air for a moment as the child in Demolly's grip stared at her fearfully, before Asminys let the body drop to the floor.

"Is that the one we came for?" He asked Demolly, his eyes burning as they appraised the Dug child. He had a touch of the force, Asminys could tell in the way that his fear and mourning whirled around him so much more strongly than it would a normal child.

Demolly watched the the nanny's neck snap before directing her attention back at Asminys. "You cheated," she growled, walking past him. The boy was pretty much dragged behind her, fear reeking from him as he barely kept up with her. "And obviously it is, I'm not dragging a random kid around for fun."

The bodies would leave a message, and so would Asminys and Demolly once they got back to the cults territory. She picked up the boy, tucking him under her arm like a package then jumping. Her fit landed briefly on the top of the gate, pushing a second after to make her way back to the ground.

She'd ignore Asminys if he said anything as they made it back to the base. At least four of her cultists were waiting for her, all positioning themselves at her side. In the base she tossed the boy on a chair, grabbing a comm and typing a message for the General. It was a simple threat, a "either he supports the Sith takeover or the child dies" one.

Asminys scowled as Demolly lay a baseless claim about the fairness of his actions. "All is fair in love and war." He let a small grin slip onto his face. This was war after all. "I couldn't imagine you dragging a random kid around for any reason other than fun." He said, not doubting that Demolly would abduct a child just for the fun of feeling their fear.

Watching Demolly grab the child, Asminy's mind briefly dredged up a memory of a similar story. One that was far more complicated than this one. He put it out of his head as he followed Demolly back to her cult's territory in silence.

Arriving, Asminys observed the cultists that she had somehow brainwashed into devotion to her, his hateful eyes lingering on each one as he imagined some cruel death for each of them.

Following Demolly to where she tossed the boy onto a chair and typed something into her com unit. Watching the boy for a moment, he wondered if the boy feared that his neck would snap around Asminys like his nanny's had. He imagined it for a moment before turning to peer over Demolly's shoulder at the com just as it pinged.

"Who is this? Is this a prank? Do you have any idea who I am... "

"I don't think you have a bite." He said quietly as he hovered over her shoulder and read the response.

"I don't like you standing behind me," she said, still grumpy about his kills. Maybe she was a sore loser, she didn't care. She looked back at him before turning around. She'd position herself so they faced each other directly, unless he moved, which would cut off his view of the texts.

She took a holopicture of the boy in the chair, sending it to the General and telling him to find a private area to chat. When a call came through, Malicia allowed the General to see his boy. "You'll be supporting the Sith when your Doge brings up an alliance," she said, the threat of killing his son still lingering there. "After you comply, your son will be trained to wield the Force. He will become a deadly weapon your family can use to further their ambitions," she added.

The boy sobbed quietly on the comm, but everything he was experiencing now could be used to grant him power in the future so Malicia did not pay mind to it. IThough she did briefly recall her own experience, and a small flutter of doubt surfaced for the briefest of moments before she snuffed it out. She'd done well. If the boy wasn't weak he would too.

Asminys was eyeing the side of Demolly's neck when she spoke of her dislike at his near presence. He supposed he understood her skepticism. He wouldn't a man like him lingering over his shoulder either.

He turned back to the boy, walking over and crouching down to eye level with him. Watching his reaction as Demolly spoke with his father. He looked scared, terrified to meet the Sith's eyes. But he looked curious at Demolly's mention of him becoming a Sith, the youthful innocence imagining the power he might hold cutting at the fear he now felt. Perhaps he would make a Sith, or perhaps he would die.

"You, uh. You really aren't giving me much room to negotiate are you." She would hear the apprehension in his voice as he was no doubt receiving word of the deaths at his home. "Those were good men you killed. How can I know you won't just kill me and have done with me afterwards. What assurances can you give me that myself and my family can further those ambitions." Asminys' ears had perked at the mention of the men they had killed, and he rose to approach Demolly.

"They didn't fire a shot," He spoke into the comlink. "We could kill you the moment your leader signs on no matter how many men guard you. You will spend every day fearing the moment we may finally come for you. But that's all on you. You do as my sister says, always, and you can sleep sound at night..." He trailed off, the implications of what would happen should he fail that one simple task. He gave Demolly a lazy wink as he turned away to walk around the child, menacingly as the Dug general gulped and stammered for a moment.

"Do as your sister sa... Lady are you this sister? I-i-i... You say my son will become a Sith, become like you two?" His voice quavered as he seemed broken, yet hopeful in accepting the deal. Sell out his world and his people for a chance at a powerful son who could forge a legacy for his family.

Malicia half-forgave her cadre-brother when he came up with an excellent threat. He was still a cheater, and she'd still begrudgingly owe him a favour, but her anger had cooled to a simmer.

"Yes, your son will become Sith,"
she lied. Maybe he would, though there was an equal chance he'd die the first day training. That, of course, wasn't something she'd tell the General. "He will be able to kill your rivals with ease and other families will fear yours."

There was a pause over the comm, the sound of unsteady breathing from the General filling the silence with some ambience. "I'll do as you say," the General answered, a hint of defeat in his voice.

With that done, Demolly ended the call and waved to her cultists. "Take the boy to a holding cell for now," she intructed. Now she needed to check on the progress of the others.
