DESCRIPTION​

Force rage—also known as dark rage or force fury—is a powerful ability channeled through the dark side of the Force for defensive or (predominantly) offensive purposes. Through it, a force user could take their innermost feelings, from fear to pain, and transform them into unadulterated rage. From this rage, they could augment themselves physically, from strength, speed, and aggression.

Force rage is an extremely ancient technique in which one uses their innermost feelings and channel them into a rage capable of momentarily enhancing their physical being. In the heat of battle, a force user could overwhelm an opponent within seconds by converting their fear into rage, and thus, power. Their jabs become faster, strikes harder, and ferocity ever stronger. This speed and strength lasts only the course of approximately 5 seconds, and its effects can be detrimental.

Regardless of skill or experience in the dark side, force rage has a number of drawbacks. While light siders are able to learn this technique, its use will ultimately destroy their connection to the light and plunge them into dark. Likewise, prolonged use of force rage can leave its user weakened and exhausted until the channeled rage subsides. In fact, the technique is considered a “one time thing” through every battle, often used as a last resort. Use of this ability leaves the reflexes and body severely weakened after its use wears off.

Still, the instantaneous power, mentally and physically, can lead to severe behavior and state of mind. By gathering and channeling so many emotions, the user is virtually pulled into a period of extreme depression or hysteria. Those not skilled enough could find themselves trapped in an endless state of frenzy and rage— until death. Fortunately, only the most proficient dark siders know how to employ this technique efficiently.
