1. What is going to happen in your plot?
My character is going to be constructing his first lightsaber since leaving the Jedi Order to follow his own path (somewhat tied in an abstract sense into the founding of upcoming Indie faction that some people and I are working on and will be submitting soon, since having a saber would be nice for some of the the events we are discussing).
2. What other players will be a part of this?
Not quite sure who exactly is going to participate at the moment, but I am going to get at least one other member to do these threads with me, possibly up to three different people in three different threads.
3. Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place?
Exclusively on Sho-Torun, if possible.
4. Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.
Thread one: My character, former Jedi turned outcast Evan Tedronai, realizes that he is going to need a lightsaber if he is going to step into the troubled affairs of his new homeworld, and embarks on a quest to acquire a case of being held in an ore duke storage facility. With one other member, the plan is to infiltrate and extract a shipment of quadanium steel(http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Quadanium_steel) by any means necessary. The other member in this case will take off with a lockbox filled with credits in order to compensate them for their time if they are non-Force Sensitive, if they are Force Sensitive they can share in the quadanium spoils.
Thread two: After acquiring the quadanium, Evan engages in extensive meditation in an attempt to locate a Kyber crystal native to the planet, as he is no longer welcome on Ilum or Jedha. He succeeds in locating a small vein of Kyberite, with one fully mature crystal in particular humming to him, but soon realizes it lies in the heart of an abandoned mine shaft overrun by fierce creatures. He, and another member, must delve deep into into the shaft, defeat the beasts, and claim his crystal. If the other member is Force Sensitive, perhaps they could acquire a crystal here as well, or, if non-FS, valuable hides from the slain creatures.
Thread three: After acquiring the quadanium, his kyber crystal, and the various other more common components needed to create his new blade, Evan realizes that he will need a great deal of heat and a place strong in the power of the Force in order to bend the bar of quadanium he has acquired in to something usable for his weapon, and to attune his crystal to him. The closest location not under the surveillance of the ore duke’s who are still looking for their quadanium thief is at the summit of a fiery volcano. In order to craft his new blade, Evan, and one other member, will have to make the treacherous ascent, facing numerous obstacles as they climb. At the conclusion of the thread, if all goes well, Evan will have forged his new lightsaber (if his companion is Force Sensitive, they could go about doing that too, or they could take valuable scientific samples to send to the ore dukes for credit).
5. What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?
I hope for Evan to acquire his first lightsaber outside of the Jedi Order, given that he had to start without one as a former Jedi who started as an Indie. I think that it will also be a good opportunity to bond and adventure with a variety of other characters of various stripes. If this plot is more involved/requires more people than the typical acquisition of a lightsaber for an Indie with the knowledge to build it, it would be nice to get a bit of bonus experience points to reflect that.
6. Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.
I don’t believe so.
