1200 Hours
Roon, Just Outside 'The Base'

Chos stood in a small plane located just outside the mountainside base. The air was frigid and the sky was pitch black,as it had been for many months. Surrounded by intimidating mountains, it was hard for the Mandalorian not to feel small and nervous for the days training. With his trusty blaster pressed against his shoulder, Chos walked further down the plane and preformed a gear check. He was in full gear, was missing his explosive ordinance and had set his rifle to stun.

By the time he reached the center of the minuscule plane, Chos saw a shadowy figure standing a few meters away and shouted "ARE YOU READY?"

Caedryn sat in a craggy rock formation, the snowcapped stones looking out over a small valley that cut into the Roon mountains. He had spent the last few hours doing something he hadn't done since his childhood. Building a snowman. It had seemed ridiculous at first, but before long he had found the childish activity quite enjoyable while he waited for the newest recruit to The Chosen to arrive.

He had decided to test the mans mettle personally, something he rarely did. And so he sat in the snowy rocks overlooking the snowman, chilly in his armor, stun rifle cradled in his lap. He had removed most of the weapons built into his armor, as explosives had a tendency to be unsafe. He did however have a pair of flashbang grenades clipped to his gunbelt, as well as the usual heavy blaster pistol (set to stun) and his long vibrosword. A jetpack, sans rocket, rested magnetically clamped to his armored back, though it lacked the usual hose that normally ran down to the flamethrower on his left wrist. The wrist rocket launcher on his right was empty, and the twin wrist blasters on both wrists had been replaced with stun blasters.

Viewing the valley through his helmet rangefinder, his patience paid off as he watched his mock enemy trudge through the snow, the dark night surrounding him. He seemed to stop several meters before the snowman, and Caedryn could hear an shout of challenge echo off the valley walls. With a silent scoffing laugh he brought the stun rifle to his shoulder. Peering through the scope, he brough the targeting reticule to bare in the mans chest, the rangefinder indicating a distance of 60 meters. Deep breath in. Exhale, and a gentle squeeze of the trigger. The blue stun bolt shot out of the rifle and sped the distance between Caedryn and his target. Sticking around just long enough to confirm a hit or miss, Caedryn scrambled out of his cover, making a swift run for the treeline that stood a few meters away.

The untested Mando never heard his target respond, so he marched swiftly towards it. As he got closer the figure began to look less like a man, and more like a blob of sorts. It was a snowman, a damned snowman. He cursed under his breath and trudged on through the snow. Caedryn had set him up, there was no way Chos could gain an advantage wading through the snowy plain while his foe was likely lurking on the ridge of mountains, or perhaps in a snow bunker. Between the lack of cover and the snowman, he was confused.

Then in an instant , Chos's confusion turned to pain. The bolt came out of nowhere, and Chos was on thrown on his back. The flashy blue stun bolt had hit him square in the chest, and he was experiencing an extreme nervous pain for a second or so. Knowing every second counted, he forced himself back up and trudged as quickly as possible through the thick snow.

As he had just started to waddle through the snow , Chos saw something. Three trees planted in the plain, rather than on the treeline. He dashed towards to trees and hastily jumped next to the trunk. He had limited knowledge about snow, but knew enough to figure that these trees had likely formed tree wells. His boots fell through the powder and he felt the chill instantly. Ignoring the cold, he constructed a small wall of rocks and snowbank that covered the half of his body that had not sunk in to the well. With a tree covering his back, the makeshift wall providing some cover, and a bunch of numbed nerves, the exhilarated Mando felt rather comfortable.

The mock-foe hadn't taken a shot at the fort yet, despite 20 seconds or so having passed since the last attack. The young warrior lifted his head from his cover and flipped on his rangefinder. The massive treeline encompassing the plain was roughly 70m away, and Chos had yet to see his target. As Chos looked along the treeline a flurry began to set in. Looking up at the skies he saw that this storm was about to get much, much worse.

(OOC: Edits,w/ permission from opponent
Changed things to be more reasonable.
-Caed has yet to be spotted
-Chos reacts to the stun shot and moves more hastily)
