Medriaas Avenged?
Open to reactions only

The news video begins showing a brutal explosion over The Imperial Palace on Coruscant and the surrounding city. An explosion so violent that buildings outside the range of the initial explosion still toppled from the pressure wave. Closed captioning for the broadcast silently noted a death toll in the tens of millions, climbing higher with each passing second. As the explosion ends, the death toll continues to climb and the scene fades away. It is soon replaced by a small crowd of Mandalorian warriors standing in what seems to be a ship cargo hold. Painted on the wall behind them is a bright symbol.

"We are Death Watch. We are Medriaas. We are Mandalorians." One spoke up, a similar symbol painted onto his armor. "This is our work. This is only the beginning."

As simply as the broadcast had begun, it came to an end. The Mandalorian who had spoken up raised a single hand to the camera, making a fist. Many of the others in the background followed his example in the salute as the scene faded away. The only thing remaining on the screen would be a lone symbol, reminding viewers of who they were.

Arial was watching the feed, as her holopad was going nuts. Emergency calls, requests for information, panicked governors. It was chaos. She felt a ball of rage harden within her. The Imperial Republica was incompetent, how could they let this happen? Who was going to hang for this? This was a hell of a black eye to the Sith people, and a stain on them as a whole. Yes, civilians had died, but the deaths that would follow this....this spitting of the eye of order? Of the true unifying force of the galaxy? That would be nothing compared to the wake of this disaster. She was glad her parents had died before seeing this catastrophe, her mother would have fainted to her this bit of bad news. If this group of terrorists wanted to play hard ball with the Sith Empire they would certainly get it, oh yes, they most certainly would.

She found herself having to remember how to breath, as her anger was getting the best of her. Yes, she was upset, but that wouldn't solve anything now. The Empire had been deceived into aligning with these weak willed fools, so much so that a group of barbarian Mandalorians managed to break into their center of power and destroy the symbol of their strength. As much as she wanted to bring a hammer down and smash apart the little rodents that dared undermine the security and peace of the galaxy, she couldn't. She was just a lone agent, a single rather low ranked woman in an army. But she could plot. And there would be much time for that. As she stared at the screen, with that little tiny symbol of defiance blaring across the glass, a single thought burned in her mind. An eye for an eye.

She just finished watching, Hutt Sumo Wrestling. The matches went on for a bit, with each of giant slugs, smashing into one another. Though eventually Attila Da Hutt won. She thought it was quite boring, but drank hot chocolate with Marshmallows, while doing watching it. This was only way to get away from mum and dad, they did not like helping the empire. She really needed a place of her own, somewhere by the beach.

Just then flicking channels to try and find something else to watch, then a news flash came on these where always good to watch. Seems it last the last days of the republic again, the Imperium Republica where so weak, the mandalorians thought they could just extract revenge. There was a lot of deaths, well that what happens when your government can no longer protect you. She did not feel sorry for them, this was just the nature of the galaxy, the strong rule, and the weak must suffer. That was what the sith code teached, and the galaxy was ruled by it, even if you did not believe in it. The Mandalorians where strong, the imperium republica was weak, so they extracted revenge because they could.

She hoped though this might spur the Moff council, to warm to the idea of reunification. This would mean them puting their stupid idea, of abandoning the rule of strong behind them, and the idea you could stop stronger people rising to the top of the food chain, just because they were not your relative. Though this was not in her in power to do, so she sup a bit more hot chocolate. As she knew soon, she would be taking a trip their as well. Oh well more of the weak will die then.

Dax was bellied up to the bar of the LL. Having a few celebratory beers after yet another successful mission within Imperial space. He was about three beers in and feeling pretty proud of himself when a charming young lady wearing next to nothing walked up to him with a smile and wink.

"Care for some company cyar'ika ?"

Dax looked at his wrist watch, and then to the young pink skinned female. "Mmm, hold that thought", he replied to her with a smile. Then turned his attention to the holoprojector, as if he expected what came to happen. The local news of Nar Shaddaa suddenly shifted to the view of the Imperial Palace being ripped apart by an explosion.

"And here we go!" he said softly, and then mouthed the words of the message from the faceless narrator. Nearly in time with it. He smiled then, as the projector cut back to the news and he returned his attention to the pink skinned entertainer. "Lead the way doll face. Nothing gets me in the mood like dead Imperials."

Shizuo watched the chaos unfolding at the capital. The mandalorians, striking at the heart of the Imperial Republica. Aiming to send a message no doubt, one of retribution for their fallen comrades. For the sith, this event was one of great importance, but also, one of joy.

"It's finally happening...the age of honesty is almost upon us." Shizuo said with a smirk of his malformed face as he sat ready to begin meditation. Civilization was a lie, the ultimate untruth that had ever been created. It gave people false hopes of Order, of Law, of Fairness. Yet, when put to the test, this thing called Civilization crumbled. In its place, survival of the fittest, predators and prey, struggling through violence in order to get their ultimate goals.

Everyone wants peace, when it means they can "win". When it means they can get the best deal out of the established order. When it means they can be treated better then others, through the rule of law. The Republic stood as the ultimate symbol of this, and now those it had held down were being shattered by the warriors of this age.

"It'll be our time soon..." Shizuo said with a smile on his face, know that was indeed true. Their own civilization, their own great untruth, would soon be put to the fire as well. They had held down others as well, based not on merit or strength but merely on preference and convenience. Once, he would have feared such a turn of events, as a threat to all those under the empires banner.

Now, he welcomed it. The weak would die, but it was their place to be killed by the strong. He did not fault them for being such, it was simply what they were. Nature always asserts itself, to reclaim that civilization that rots away, and bring it back to its natural state. So it is with planets, with animals, and with people. The weak didn't choose to be weak, their death would simply be nature, running its course.

But this was a chance to see, which was actually stronger. Which of these two powers were more in tune with the true way of the world? Mandalorians or Sith? Which of them was the predator, and which of them was the prey?

"I can't wait to find out..." He said as he went to mediate, a smile still playing on his face as he thought of the war to come. The darkness in him was getting hungrier, and he was sure this was going to be a lot of blood to satisfy it.

Hask was walking through the streets of Coruscant when the news feed blasted onto the massive screen on the side of a building. He stood frozen as he watched the explosion, the death toll rising with no end in sight, and the message from the barbaric animals calling themselves 'Mandalorians'.
"What are they thinking?" he thinks to himself as the message plays out and the feed cuts to that evil symbol. "First the Empire invades the system, now these barbarians decide to not only plunge the system into further chaos, but now the entire GALAXY?!"
Anger boils up inside of him. Anger towards the Republica following the same incompetent path as the Old Republic, anger towards the Old Empire for allowing this to happen, and anger towards the mandalorians claiming to be honourable warriors, but then targeting innocent civilians for no apparent reason.
"Targeting soldiers and political leaders is one thing, but targeting innocent civilian lives is a whole different story. These animals will pay for this...one way or another"

He pulls his cloak tighter around him and disappears into the shocked crowd gathering around the screen, staring in awe at it.

"They will pay for this..."
