Trys rolled her eyes when he unconvincingly told her they could ‘talk about it later’. She made a point of letting him see the eye roll and continue to call him out on his bullshit. Trys didn’t rush him as he took his time by the pool, looking around to scope out the path that would take them back up towards the forest.
When he was ready, they would start walking again with her leading the way. Talak would notice she refused to use the saber, instead taking out the vibroblade to cut through the obstacles in her way. It took longer, but she would stick to it, clearing a path for them that led the way up again.
When he asked his next question, Trys simply shrugged and kept walking, “I just remember being lost and very...cold,” She started to walk up a thin incline and she could see where it took them back up again, “I felt mostly emotions. Back in the cave I felt a lot of pain, and then I thought I saw my ex - my son’s father, but that may have been my imagination,” Trys shrugged, “Honestly, I don’t want to know. Obviously it was a lot of kriffed up shit that happened, and it left you hanging by a thread. I’ll take your word for it just being something bad and leave it at that.”
Her approach on the topic would probably surprise him, but it was simply how her personality operated. Trys wasn’t one to linger and dwell on things. She was happy to be here and alive and she was glad to see them moving away from the enclave. It was a complete and stark contrast to Talak, who had a penchant for overthinking and exploring every single angle and thread to a meticulous degree.
“I’m curious about this planet,” Trys said after a moment as she began the climb up, “Is this mainly a place with influence from….your people? Or is this enclave just a one off?”
