"Yeah, they call me Gadget cuz I messed with techlike pieces of things when I was just a fuzzling. Of course, I saw lots of insides from machines. Know what I'm doing, you bet. I know how to play around with things. Object-types and other gizmothings.

Lots of good stuffs in my arsenal. Pipes and gears to walk-walky droid legs. You name it, Gadget has it, you bet! Also specialize in fightings and other combats. Can't stress enough how I love good fights. Take down Ugorians, I'll do for free, I assure.

In all honestness, think to remember what services I offer. My agilitized self and weapon skilltypes plus my trade mind make me useful beyond the calls of dutiness.

See here, people of planets and astro-things and cosmolands! I like the stuff of shininess you have, and you see things of mine you would like to claim for the homes in which you live. Wanna trade?"

HEIGHT: 3'6" (4'2" including ears)

DISTINGUISHING MARKS: None

DEXTERITY: 95/100
CONSTITUTION: 85/100
INTELLIGENCE: 80/100
WISDOM: 65/100
CHARISMA: 95/100

SKILLS:
Gadget has many natural abilities, such as the ability to hear faint, distant noises with dead-on precision. He also has a very acute sense of smell, allowing him to distinguish scents others may not pick up. Gadget's fur also allows him to distinguish disguises or forgeries, simply by touching the person/object in question. He was trained in the Mystic Martial Arts of Squib Combats and Transactions, so he is quite skilled in the ways of close-combat and blaster/projectile handling. This training also reinforced his natural ability to haggle, and haggle well. There isn't a good deal he can pass up, and he'll try to barter and bargain with anyone that seems like they would show interest in his wares. Gadget is also very good at bluffing and talking his way out of situations, and is generally extremely persuasive. He isn't too shabby at pickpocketing either, for those tough times...

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Gadget's ability to bluff and make deals allows him to take control of many situations. When in a more violent predicament, his speed, agility and precision with close-combat and longer-ranged weapons allows him to become a formidable opponent. Also, Gadget has access to many types of technology, allowing him to adapt to a variety of environments and situations.

Gadget's main weakness is his ego. He's fairly full of himself, and will generally blurt out anything that makes him seem more important or better than others. Since some of the time he thinks he can handle a complex or overwhelming situation, he will get in over his head and require help he will disregard afterward. Also, the lack of strong armor allows blows to Gadget to be more potent than to others with more protective wears. Gadget isn't known for his physical prowess, either. He's not a heavy-lifter, and may need to convince others to help him transport goods.

GEAR:
Gadget wears leather-based clothing, and carries dual Ryyk Blades (of Wookiee descent), which he acquired after much trading. He shortened the blades to fit his height (as they were originally as long as he was tall), and reinforced with cortosis. He also has a Squib Tensor Rifle which he carries on his back. This rifle is able to shoot compressed tractor beams, allowing the victim to be damaged on the cellular level. Within the confines of his belt, there are a few makeshift grenades, and a pouch of flash grenades for optimal escapement.

SHIP:
spaceship.png

Gadget's ship is comprised of random parts from other ships he happened to stumble upon while bartering and the like. It has two large missile launchers equipped with homing rockets, and a laser cannon on its underside that can rotate into an ion cannon. It also has a basic form of hyperdrive, which can be used for a short period of time, but it has a lengthy cooldown.

PERSONALITY:
Gadget comes off as a friendly and likable creature. In fact, he will often try to be such. However, his ego may get the best of him, leading him to become downright obnoxious at times. He will almost always be found trying to persuade someone to do a task for him rather than do it himself, often offering a small reward that he may or may not actually give to the one who performed the task. Gadget is also extremely fluent in the ways of general persuasion. He can get almost anyone to buy anything off of him, whether it be a useful item or worthless junk he just wants to get rid of.

Gadget is fast to talk and won't hold back anything he has to say when the situation calls for it. Most of the time he's a loner, doing what he needs to do, mostly tasks that benefit himself in one way or another. Gadget prefers to make few friends, because he is a bit paranoid of multiple acquaintances stealing his belongings. To the few friends he has, however, he is loyal and trustworthy, and a useful and necessary ally in any situation.

He's a funny fellow, often blurting out random and humorous things to lighten the mood around him. He finds random junk to be collectible, until he can sell it. Gadget loves to play mental games with anyone, whether it be for fun or for monetary gain.

HISTORY:
Speek Steemtwinket was born and raised on his homeworld of Skor II until the age of 14. When he reached this age, he decided to take part in what is known to be the Mystic Martial Arts of Squib Combats and Transactions. He was trained to be a worthy opponent in combat, as well as a formidable bargainer. Throughout his early teenage years, he got in the habit of tinkering with different objects and seeing how they work. His friends and family referred to him using the nickname "Gadget." At the age of 16, Gadget left Skor II under the conditions of “intergalactic buisnessthings, I assure.” He worked his way through the Outer Rim territories using public vessels, sticking to small trade routes throughout the planets. After finding a relatively large blaster in the back of a vessel one day, he decided to use his searching and scouring skills to loot his surroundings for what others claim to be trash, and sell or trade it to passersby.

For a few more months, Gadget continued this lifestyle, until a shady individual approached him about his wares. The stranger bartered a bit, and managed to receive a valuable piece of machinery in trade for a rather attractive weapon. After this transaction, Gadget noticed the weapon in question (a distinctly large blade) was a cheesy knock-off, as it broke when he gently set it on his stand. Of course, Gadget did what a Squib does best when someone rips them off… Revenge, in the most ridiculous way possible. He leaped over the stand and took off after the shady individual, shouting such things as “The fakeness of the weapons that you may or may not produce, whatever the case, is not tolerated by my traderness, you bet!” Of course, any Squib speaking basic was an interesting thing to hear, but Gadget’s ramblings made even the most deafened of the town’s residents scratch their head in confusion as to what the Squib was actually trying to convey. After nimbly moving to a rooftop, Gadget spotted the fraudulent being and lunged downward at him, tackling him and bringing his face into the dirt path below. “Now listen to my speakings, foul scum of this place! You do not rip off such a Squib as myself, so you shall prepare for the beat-down of your existiness, or whatever.” The stranger pleaded for assistance from anyone around him, but the fact that he was brought down by a rodent less than half his size made everyone view him as an embarrassment. Gadget reclaimed the shiny item, and left the swindler lying in the dirt to be ashamed of himself.

Gadget realized, after the incident with the fake weapon, that his stealth and combat skills were of more use than he had originally thought. He figured that he should probably acquire some type of close-range weapon, as the only current weapon he had was the Squibs’ specialty Tensor Rifle. Of course, this was a destructive weapon at a distance, but when faced with more than one foe trying to steal his belongings, he would need more conventional means of defense, most likely a blade or two. At the age of 18, Gadget had acquired a few interesting objects: The hull of an old ship, several weapons to attach to said hull, and two Ryyk Blades that he had to slave over to get. This “slaving” actually meant convincing traders that they would seem more violent and intimidating to customers with large, sharp blades in their shop. Luckily, the traders did not want to scare off customers, so Gadget made deals with them and walked out with extraordinarily one-sided deals that only actually benefitted him. The blades were long, almost as tall as he was. So, in order to make them fit his stature, he had them shortened and reinforced with cortosis, which he managed to receive from a rather invigorating trade deal in the black market. As expected, he used his Squibbiness to persuade a weapons master that doing this work for free would give him a higher standing in society.

Surprisingly, Gadget assembled his ship by himself, to assure maximum “techno-compatibility.” Most people looked at the ship as a piece of junk, but Gadget saw this vessel as a home of some sort. One fateful day, while travelling to a far-off world, Gadget fell under the attack of Ugorian raiders. Ugorians were the Squibs declared rivals, so Gadget had to think quickly. He hailed the Ugor ships with a message: “Ugorians inside what ships you drive, zoom away now or be ker-blasted into oblivion by my big rockets that go fast and blow up uglies like yourselves, you bet.” Of course, Gadget preferred not to get into a fight, so bluffing his way out of it seemed to be the most appropriate measure. Sadly, he bluffed in the sense that made him seem like a threat, so the Ugorians opened heavy fire upon the small vessel. Gadget panicked, and engaged the hyperdrive for the first time. He was thrown back into the door behind his seat, screaming for help he knew was not going to randomly appear. Only a few seconds later, the hyperdrive started to slow, and eventually stop. Gadget stood up, acted like nothing happened, and re-seated himself, as he was embarrassed from the situation despite being alone.

Gadget continues to scour the galaxy in search of anything he can store for himself or sell. He hopes to one day join a squad or faction of others that will accept him and maybe even require him in combat… or trading.

(Will update history more once he joins a faction and whatnot.)

Haha, yeah, he'd be toast if someone didn't see him when they were stepping.

Thanks. How long did I do the profile...? Like, 2 hours or so?

The history might take another whopping hour or so, but the picture's gonna take the longest, since we all know I have to draw the pic.

UPDATES:
I couldn't get to sleep, so I drew Gadget in pencil and then went into Photoshop to do the line darkening/coloring/etc...

Added history. I'll definitely add more once he develops a bit more.

Added an intro to portray how Gadget speaks and whatnot. I can't wait to RP with him.

I liked it so far. You can draw better than I can especially as three AM. He seems like a fine fellow to interact with and a fun one to boot.

One thing you could put would, his weakness in strength and being. How does this affect what he sells? Like a heavy piece of equipment, does he use droids or something?

And I thought I was the only one who would make a Squib. I enjoyed reading this profile, nicely done. I might have to take a few leaves out of your book when it comes to Squibbish language, too!

Good point. I added a bit about that in his weaknesses, I'll probably think of something better to say, as I didn't quite know how to word it for some reason.

Squibs have got to be my favorite species. Thanks a bunch, I tried to incorporate as much Squibbiness into it as possible. The way he speaks is basically how my mind works, so it seems to flow out of my fingertips, haha. :CHappy:

Hah, thanks. At the current moment he may only have a few useless trinkets, though. :D

I enjoyed reading this. A squib... how do you make aliens like that though? I am only good at making slightly mental near-humans sadly. I just don't understand how an alien's mind works. I guess you have that gift then. Nice job though.

Hahaha, oh, my mind is far beyond that of alien quality... Thanks. :)
