Matthew walked into the bar, a smile from ear to ear across his covered face. His zero-g boots clinked across the flooring of the establishment. Matthew was, to say the least, jubilant. He live longer than he predicted. That, to him, was quite an achievement. But it was nothing worth celebrating. Running a few scans he got a better feel for his surroundings. Something off an alert in his CPU. I'll be damned.. It was Connor. Matthew remembered. The useless piece of shit that did nothing during the incident in which Matt lost his knee. But Matt didn't hold grudges. Not against something like Connor.

But he wasn't going to make anything obvious. He clunked towards the bar. He looked directly at the bar. He paid no mind to anything or anyone else. He soon arrived there. Matthew walked to Connor after arriving at the bar. He looked directly at Connor. Faceplate to face. Matthew's smile faded. No jubulation, but grim, shadowy darkness. "Hello, Connor."

The Nem'Vaah smiled and excused himself from Gracelyn's company for a moment as he turned towards the man in response to his greeting. The force danced across his senses, he knew just based on how the man had approached him, something wasn't quite right. Though Connor had only recently left his settlement on Nem'Vaar, and couldn't have possibly done wrong to anyone in the short time he had been here. Though he couldn't simply allow the man to stand there unaddressed.

The Hand of Fate leaned in close and spoke in a low tone so as not to broadcast the entirety of their convorsation to everyone at the bar, though he knew of a few patrons there who saw this act as a trivial one. The force was not only with him on this night.

"My apologies, have we met? I don't believe I'm familiar.."

The man promptly acknowledged Maier’s offer, and then moved over. Supposedly to thank her- "I wanted to thank you, for the drinks. My name is Connor K'yer"

Looking up, the female Jedi motioned for him to sit- though a bit late. “Pleasure. Maier… Maier is the name,” came Gracelyn’s soft response. By that time several ghastly looking men were entering the rather fine establishment. Maier wondered what manner of men allowed such peasantry in the exclusive establishment.

Cooner had by that time been pulled away by one of the men. Luckily for him he promptly turned his focus back on Maier- where it clearly belonged at the moment. "My apologies, have we met? I don't believe I'm familiar.."
The words left her a bit stunned as she’d never laid eyes on the man. “Perhaps on Kaal? I own several (well our family) several properties and fine establishment on that exquisite Island. Among which is the longest standing exclusive fine dining and bar.”

Turning back to her drink she took several sips and then motioned for her waiter. “More of the same for him and me. Thanks”

Connor came from very little, being a servant of the force and its will he had owned only the clothes he wore and the gear he had carried and made himself. Though to meet a woman of her influence, and obvious wealth, was a new and welcomed experience for him.
"Sounds like you and your family have a sharp mind for business. Unfortunately I have never been to the island." He took a moment to imagine such a place. Where people similar to her must have lived, or vacationed from time to time. He thought it might look something similar to Naboo. Beautiful shades of green mixed in with the calming grace of surrounding oceans. "It has to be beautiful"

Something in the man captured the Jedi attention. No, it wasn’t his formalities- though quite exquisite despite his obvious bland appearance. It had to be his way with words.

The more he spoke the more he captured Gracelyn’s attention. Unfortunately I have never been to the island…..It has to be beautiful" he finally added at which point Maier chimed in…

“Indeed, but more beautiful than Naboo. Most first time visitors can’t get enough of the deep blue waters of Kaal….” Pausing to take another sip of her glass of non alcoholic beverage she added- “…You should visit to see for yourself.” Her ride at that point appeared. Rising up, she left several credits on the table to cover her beverage and the one for Connor and his companion.

Pulling a flimsy from her pocket she added. “Here, my contact. I would be delighted to give you a tour of tour- if you ever make it out there- to Kaal.”

Waiting a few moments she concluded “…Pleasure to meet your acquaintance Connor” and then left the establishment with her guard in tow.

He watched her go as she disappeared into the crowd of people followed discreetly yet closely by her bodyguards vanishing as if she had never been there at all.
He took down the last of his drink, flipped over the flimsy and scanned his eyes over her contact information.

He tucked it into one of the inner pockets of his coat and excused himself from the others within the Neuromancer. He flipped his hood up over his head and strode out of the bar, he had found somewhere he would rather be.

He sat back and smirked as the jedi left, it was... how did he put it... funny... that they preached about having very few mortal positions and yet had so many, he looked around and took a sip of the whiskey in the glass before sitting back and then moving slowly towards the smuggler they had been talking to "who were they?" he asked fakely looking at the smuggler with a look of confusion that fit the question.

"Who?" Kahlaionin replied, turning in his stool to look at the inquirer. He looked into the nightclub, but could find none terribly out of the ordinary. For Nar Shaddaa, at least. The novice smuggler's datapad beeped, and he pulled it out.
<I heard you can deliver things. Meet me at VIP Room #1 at the Neuromancer nightclub, Nar Shaddaa, in five minutes.>
After reading this, Kahl was surprised to get another shipment so quickly, and in such an opportune location. He figured he had some time to spend, so he set a timer on his datapad and shut it off, folding it up and replacing it in his pant's pocket.

When the young smuggler Kahlaionin entered the VIP room five minutes later, he saw a single Gran, smoking a cigar on the couch. “So, are you Kahlainonin Geist? If so, have a seat, if not, I ask you to please get out.” The three eyes of the goat like creature study the man. Lips curl up. “Now boy, I have a few interesting jobs if your available, you new bloods are always looking for a chance to make money, for the big job. Well, I have a few smaller jobs that lead to a much larger one, with a much bigger payout. You interested my boy?”

The man was strong, with a blaster at his side, casually dressed. It was obvious he was just a lieutenant working for someone much higher up in the food chain. “If you are, come, sit, have a drink, listen for awhile, if you don’t like the sound of this, leave, and pretend this never happened, understand?”

"Yeah, I'm Geist." The young smuggler took a seat, as far away from the alien as he could on the couch. Hand stuck in his pocket, he fiddled with his length of garrote wire, loosening it in case it became... necessary. Kahl remained silent, waiting for the Gran to fill him in on the assignment.

The goat faced Gran blew out a ring of smoke from his cigar. “Here is the thing. You are young, inexperienced, looking for that big payday. I can help you get that. But first, you have to prove you can follow a few….things. Orders. Go where you are told, when you are told, do what you have to do. Do you understand? I have three packages, that need to be delivered across Nar Shadda. One hundred credits each, an extra one hundred if you get it there by the desires time, rather than the maximum time. Nothing if you fail even the maximum time.”

He takes another puff. “For instance, this package here.” He picks up a small box. “Has to be delivered across town, at a small Café called the Betty Blue, in two hours tops, but I want it there in one hour, you do it you get a hundred credits, you do it in MY time, you get two hundred. Its small work, and if you can follow orders, you can get six hundred credits in one day, and then prove to me you are capable of doing things, and that might lead to a much bigger opportunity in the very near future, catch my dift? Come back here when its delivered…unless you want to back out. No opening the package…no questions asked…got it?”

Shyra groaned as her only drinking partner stood and left with the fancily dressed woman. Finishing the drink in her hand, the swiped her credit chit across the scanner and grumbled as she stood to leave, woefully under intoxicated for the amount of money she had spent, she made a point of yelling out into the bar, "THIS PLACE WATERS DOWN THE DRINKS!!"

"Kriffing nerf herders..." And with that, she turned and left the bar, headed back to her ship.
