Born in Brentaal during the Force Eternal Era, Galchelim was the son of Alienor and Caledan Brentioch. His birth was the result of one of the many extramarital affairs that the Patriarch of House Brentioch had since his marriage with Livilla Tannaras. During some time, Alienor had worked as secretary for Caledan in his office. It was during this period that they developed a love affair. At the same time that it happened, the Brentioch had also started an affair with other woman
It lasted for a short time, with Caledan becoming bored of her and turning his attention to his other lover. As a result, Alienor was fired from her job and replaced by the other woman. On the same day that she lost her job, she also discovered her pregnancy. The fact of being fired ended up saving her and Galchelim’s lives, because Livilla, in her endless quest of making her children the only descendants of Caledan, had only learned about the existence of the Brentioch patriarch’s other love and not of Alienor. Thus she and her unborn son survived, while the other woman perished in an “accident” with a broken elevator.
Shortly after being fired, Alienor learned about the rumors that surrounded Livilla and the news about the death of Caledan’s other lover made her fear for her life and that of his unborn son. She moved to Votrad, where she was able to find a job as a cleaner in the Votrad Independent Downport. Her salary was low and she could only afford a tiny apartment in a poor location. It was in this place that Galchelim was born.
With the low salary that his mother received, Galchelim never went to a proper school. Alienor taught him how to read and math, but his education never went beyond it. To help her he worked with different things, mostly illegal. He ended up joining one of the many gangs that fought for dominance in the underworld of Brentaal.
Due to working the entire day, Alienor is unaware that her son is being part of a criminal group, believing that he works in a warehouse of legal products, which is only the façade for smuggling of weapons and spice in Brentaal.
While he never had a proper education, Galchelim can understand some languages besides basic, having learned with smugglers and criminals that are part of his gang. He also learned to defend himself in a hand to hand fight and how to fire with a blaster. He also knows a thing or two about piloting a speeder bike.
