Open Naboo Gale’s No Good, Very Bad Day

His instruments were going haywire. The bloody console was on fire, and he didn’t even want to bother checking the back.

Gale had been unfortunate enough to stumble across a small band of pirates on his way back from the Outer Rim. They’d engaged him in a dogfight, and he’d only managed to avoid being obliterated by careening into orbit. The planetary defenses activated, protecting him, but they could not save the doomed vessel.

As he began an uncontrolled descent, Gale activates the ship’s distress beacon. Though he didn’t particularly care who got injured in the crash - it was unlikely he would be - it would avoid any unnecessary local complications. Any more, at least, than he was already going to have.

Narrowly careening over a group of residential houses, the sorcerer’s mind worked on overdrive, jamming the instruments to a hard left The vessel finally impacted the lake that existed beside the city, sputtering a large crash and sending the Vahla inside toppling from his chair.

The light freighter was already beginning to sink below the lake’s surface as he came to. Moving as quickly as his body would allow, Gale drew his pistol and blasted through the cockpit, clearing the glass with his cloak as he dove into the water and began swimming to shore.

...let’s hope the locals here don’t skin me alive... now I’ve got to find a way off this planet. At least it’s pretty.

With the history of Naboo involving droids, N4-X4 calculated that it would be in his best interests to not be seen. At least he wouldn't be seen as a droid. The commando droid was walking along the water's edge when the screaming ship plunged into the water. The trooper armor the BX series commando droid wore was not common for tourists maybe, but not strange enough that a bounty hunter passing through.

The droid craned its neck a little after hearing the discharge of a blaster and the subsequent organic splash his way towards land. When he finally came to the shore the droid watched him and looked him up and down. He was dressed like a dark uniform but these days that did not solidify association. After all, the droid was wearing old trooper armor that had once belonged to a now extinct army.

The man got to safety all on his own but his ship had dissappeared below the surface by the time he arrived. "If you are injured you should seek medical attention. The nearest clinic is...that way." Naxa's voice was modulated to sound like an organics. But it still had a bit of jerkiness and pause to it at times.

Gale has most certainly struck his head harder than even he had expected. Either that, or he was now swimming towards a... Commando series battle droid? Gale was no stranger to this model.

In his youth he’d studied the Clone Wars and the effects it had on droids, back when he was more mechanically inclined. His studies stopped after a decommissioned B2 he’d reprogrammed went haywire and killed his parents. He’d had... mixed feelings about droids since.

Nonetheless, it wasn’t the weirdest thing that had happened today, or so he thought as he huffed before releasing a short jet of kinetic energy, sending him up from he water and into a summersault on the city’s ports.

“It takes more than that to injure me. Thank you, though.”

The sorcerer quickly checked his equipment to make sure it wasn’t too waterlogged, and to his satisfaction, it was not. His hair was another matter entirely. The Vahla’s eyes began to scan the nearby area, looking the droid over as he observed some nearby beings gasping in shock.

“...say. What’s a BX-series doing on Naboo? I can’t imagine you’re getting the warmest welcome here.”
