For weeks now, Ferrin found himself trapped within the confines of Brighthome. While the fall of Yavin lingered heavily on the minds of everyone, the mobile Space Station had become the de facto home and refuge of the entire order - hosting thousands of Jedi within its walls. It was a place of security, and yet it left the Pantoran itching to get away - now more than ever - if only for a few hours. Fortunately, the Galactic Cup of Limmie provided exactly that opportunity.
Perhaps one of the most popular sports in the Galaxy, Limmie attracted trillions of viewers each year - and Ferrin was no exception. He was a diehard follower of the sport, and the knowledge that the Galactic Cup was taking place on Ord Mantell - where he was already taking part in a ‘training expedition’ was too tempting to refuse. Conjuring some excuse with the resident Knight, Ferrin ditched his fellow Jedi and made for the inner city - towards the stadium where the game was taking place. Countless had flocked into the city for the games, transforming Worlport into a sea of foreigners and sports-fans. Thousands crammed into the stadium itself, while the rest found their way to cantinas to watch the games or partied outside the boundaries of the stadium itself - watching the games on colossal holo-projectors. The most exclusive of the crowd hovered above the game, watching from repulsor-craft that lazily circled above the field.
Ferrin found himself amongst the crowds outside the stadium, blending right in with the rest. He ditched his Jedi robes and Lightsaber for a bright blue jersey with a ‘16’ printed across the back, representing his love for Bylluran Athletic and its star player. While other fans brightly colored their faces in the team blue, Ferrin’s Pantoran heritage meant that he got to save money on paint.
The only issue, of course, was that the Pantoran didn’t actually have tickets.
Instead, he weaved his way through the crowds of fans and towards the gates - a grin working its way onto his expression. He could hear the roars coming out of the stadium and caught glimpses of the field on the Holo-projector. The games were about to begin, and there was no way in Force hell Ferrin wasn’t getting into that stadium before they did. Sneaking in should’ve been simple, right?
