DESCRIPTION
The Gas Skimmer GS-III from Bespin Motors was an atmospheric gas skimmer used by the Lant Mining Corporation and other gas giant mining corporations during and after the Galactic Civil War. As the name of the manufacturer implies, the GS-III saw heavy use on Bespin and other Gas Giants suitable for the mining and refining of valuable gasses.

A basic atmospheric mining craft, the GS-III was essentially a flying storage tank equipped with air scoops and a complicated series of filters and sifters to place desired gasses into appropriates tanks. Built to withstand the immense pressure and atmospheric storms of gas giants, the GS-III was typically released from a Garman-class Gas Miner in upper atmosphere, descending to areas where gas concentrations where richest.

Due to their construction and the harsh environments they were expected to operate within, the GS-III is heavily armored when compared to some other skimmers but is, in no way, rated for even light combat.

LEGALITY
Legal to own in most systems; legal to operate as a gas mining skimmer only with relevant permits.

INTENT
Intent is to bring a gas skimmer from canon onto the site, specifically to interact with the Garman-Class Gas Miner as it's compliment of gas collectors. Should be used by NPC organisations and players looking to interact with mining gas from gas giants and other celestial bodies.
