How's it goin'?

Brand new member here happily exploring the site and slowly getting my feet around these parts, and figured that an introduction of sorts was in order (not to mention polite).

I have to say that I love the quality and scope of this site, and although I've only touched on the history, think it's pretty amazing that this has been going for so many years and yet never shown up in my previous google attempts to search for a Star Wars Roleplaying Forum.

I do feel somewhat intimidated though, as I have always loved the original trilogy and the tales that come following that. I know next to nothing about the Old Republic Era beyond a little I picked up on the Sith (species) from wikipedia and some Golden Age of the Sith Empire comics I've had in my collection since I was a lad.

Hopefully I'll get settled in right away and you'll all see me in the rest of the site proper.

Welcome! Don't feel intimidated, I didn't know the first thing about any Star Wars material other then the original trilogy when I first joined, and I didn't have trouble getting involved. When you need specific info on stuff, Wookieepedia is very helpful. And of course, check out all the sticky threads around here.

Hm, the newbies and their introduction... I guess I should have done that too... rather then coming over everyone like Locust and devouring their minds slowly and painful.

First of all, thank you for the warm welcome! Many forums generally only have one or two people with a copy/paste meet and greet, and it's awesome to see some personality even in the introductions area.

Nice to see that there are some fellow Australian members around as well, hopefully this means that most threads won't be updated at 4am whilst I'm happily asleep, or 10am when I'm unhappily at work and trying to wake up still.

Thanks for the kind words and edging me to just jump into the thick of it as well, I've just finished my first character, and hope to have him accepted into the Hutt-Taung faction assuming he's good enough. Was a bit of trouble finding all the information I normally try to gather before making a character of a race, and I must have spent an hour in google trying to find art for the race.
