Gears of War.....

I recently have just found out that a GoW movie is being made New Line Cinema has been given the rights to do so...and whos the exec producer......ME!(I wish...)Actually its Cliffy B one of the guys from Epic Games..What are your thoughts on this?

Well, the game kicks ass, and for the movie to keep up with the game it would need some major special effects. Also, a better storyline would be needed.

And, unless they wanted to do multiple films, with slowly degrading plots linked closely to the games, they'd have to pretty much rewrite the ending.

I hope the film does the game justice. game to film rarely works. In fact movies and games rarely work in any combination. Such a pity, that.

Yeah they totally resident evil although Nemesis did look like the one from the game....But hey the Mortal Kombat movies worked right?And FF7:Advent Children....Street Fighter was ok.

2. If it is done well (special effects and actors and plot), then it will be a very good movie indeed.

I think Megadeth are doing some work for the Soundtrack based on the fact that their myspace has the song "Gears of War(Demo)" on it.

If they don't follow the storyline of GoW or mix up with other characters, the movie will prolly be shat.

Well if there was I didnt see it seeing as this is a very recent topic.
