Nar Shaddaa
2340 hours
man-standing-on-window-sill-painting-the-window-with-no-regard-to-GBJJMB.jpg

Rayne tossed her third deathstick in the last twenty minutes down toward the street, it fluttered about for the first three stories then faded from view as it got closer to the ground. She'd been sitting on this roof top for a couple hours when the lights finally came on in the apartment across the eleven foot alleyway, Kad Nar Shaddaa was a dump.. she thought.

There she was, walking into her apartment, and Rayne a silent shadow watching her from right outside. @Astridia Kazaczecho an imperial swine hell bent on Rayne's death, destruction, and just complete and utter annihilation. It wasn't fair that the imperials held such a gem, Rayne needed to free her from their grasp, pull her from the quicksand she was trapped in..

Rayne watched as she undressed a bit and changed into clothing that was clearly more comfortable, she probably wasn't going back out for the night. She mulled around her apartment doing things, mostly in view, sometimes not, but Rayne just kept her watchful gaze on her the entire time.

Almost an hour had passed, Rayne motionless only a little more than a dozen or so feet away from her.. she needed to do something or leave...
Rayne turned away from the ledge and began walking across the roof of the building to leave.

No... Rayne said as she turned around and booked it toward the ledge, this needed to happen..

Rayne launched herself from the ledge, her jump boots giving her a little extra go, and brought her arms up in an X shape with her head tucked down. She crashed through the window, glass flying everywhere, Rayne's boots dimming as the boosters cooled off from the lift they'd given her.

Landing on her feet, Rayne took off her helmet and clipped it to her belt, We need to talk.. Right now! She said, an air of conflict in her raised voice.

Astridia rested her jacket on a coat hanger, immediately grabbing whatever pair of comfortable clothes that she could snatch and walked for the shower. All in all, the apartment was pretty nice. Especially for Nar Shaddaa. She was just glad the whole thing was over and she could retire to a night of sleep, hopefully lacking the usual nightmares and brix that came with bad firefights. She rested her sidearm on the counter next to the refresher, immediately jumping in and starting her routine for winding down after a rough evening.

Then the window to the main room crashed open and she snatched her towel and pistol, powering on the weapon while leveling it toward the room, stepping out of the shower and peeking out of the doorway, her expression changing from serious to surprised.

"Wh-what are you doing here? What happened to the window? How--ugh, hold on."

She backed out and shut off the water, holstering her blaster. No threat so far, aside from her BUSTED WINDOW. Astrid popped back out a moment later, pulling her dirty shirt and a pair of pants on with irritation. Shower would have to kriffin' wait.

What Rayne had done was probably not ok, but she was exacerbated, how the hell did this happen, Look... I.. Rayne started, pausing for a moment, @Astridia Kazaczecho was naked in front of her, well save for a towel. Uh.. Rayne said, stunned before @Astridia Kazaczecho retreated back to the bathroom for a moment, emerging clothed again. While she was gone Rayne contemplated jumping back out the window, running away and pretending this never happened. It had already gone too far she supposed, as she stepped backward and the sound of crunching glass under her boot popped and cracked.

Rayne leaned against the wall, she wasn't sure what to say now, she was a bit embarrassed.. So... she started awkwardly, Do you come here often? She finally said with a sheepish smile. Cheesey didn't even begin to describe what she had done, and she felt very overdressed as she stood there in her full armor and weapons, she was already taller than @Astridia Kazaczecho and the difference in gear just made her appear to dwarf the girl.

Astridia slowly inhaled as Rayne took a moment to crack a joke. She looked down at the glass scattered across the floor and snatched a broom, quickly guiding the larger and more dangerous pieces toward the window itself with a sudden violence. The smaller parts didn't matter as much, essentially just dirt. Luckily for her, glass tended to be a bit lower quality and less dangerous the cheaper the apartment was. A lot of glass products used synthetic material like plastics. Rayne was lucky she didn't just bounce off the window. And she was lucky Astrid didn't just shoot her then and there.

Astrid looked up at Rayne smiling and shook the broom, stuffing it back where she had found it before resting her hands on her hips.

"Cleaning crew will scoop up that mess in the afternoon. Window will be repaired. Courtesy of Republica funds. They probably wouldn't bat an eye at why this happened. Weird stories all the time."

She took another deep breath and stared at the blonde again, noting all the weapons and armor she had stuffed across her body. Didn't even have the decency to clean up before visiting...then again, she's hardly proof of perfect manners. That'll do. She blinked and then nodded to the much taller Rayne before walking off to the small kitchen.

"I think I'm fine with letting you hang your iron coat up somewhere. As long as you're actually wearing clothes underneath. Want some caf? I was planning on falling asleep early tonight, but I suppose that since you wanted to talk about something--RIGHT NOW--let's talk."

Astrid started up the machine, sighing, and poured herself a cup of coffee (as well as one for Rayne if she did want it). She shut the bathroom door and then sat down on the bed, ignoring the tiny pricks of broken glass that nagged at her feet. No big deal. Just tiny specks that hardly hurt.

Weird stories all the time.. Rayne thought as the girl had begun to clean up the mess Rayne had made, Uh.. sorry.. about that.. Rayne said awkwardly as she watched.

Iron coat? Rayne repeated like a song bird, realizing a moment later she'd meant her armor, Oh, it's actually mostly a beskar-alloy, and duraplast, with some transparasteel, and phrik.. Rayne said matter of factly, forgetting for a moment that absolutely no one in the entire galaxy cared as much about their armour as the Mandalorians did, But I think most of you guys just call Beskar Mando Iron.. so I guess I.. uh.. Rayne said before realizing she was talking too much about a topic @Astridia Kazaczecho probably clearly didn't care about, I'd love some caf.. Rayne replied. Rayne began removing her Beskar'gam, placing the pieces neatly on an available surface.

She'd clearly inconvenienced the girl, although perhaps a knock on the door, or even the window would have been more appropriate than just flying in, making a ruckus and a mess..

As Rayne removed her torso pieces her light orange coloured workout tank top clashed with everything in the room, nothing even being close to the same color around her at the moment, it was long enough that it covered the short form fitting black shorts that were the only thing she wore below them.

Rayne carefully stepped her bare feet from out of her heavy boots and onto the bed, she sat cross legged, avoiding what little was left of the glass on the floor as she did so.

The coffee smelled wonderful, as it always did, it was odd how the sweet smell of coffee and so often the bland bitter taste of it were so different. Luckily, @Astridia Kazaczecho had managed to brew up an excellent cup of the stuff, and Rayne sipped it lightly, the heat warming her inside, and burning her tongue just a little like coffee always does. Rayne found herself sipping on it rapidly, the desire for the delicious taste of it forcing her to ignore the burning of her tongue and taste buds. Mmmmm... Rayne said in agreement, realizing she'd been silent for a while and should probably say something, I like your place.. She said honestly, except for, ya know.. the broken window.. this a rough part of town? Rayne joked, she'd been avoiding the topic she'd came here for on purpose, cause she didn't really know how to address it..

Astridia shrugged and tried to at least provide some decency for Rayne as she pulled off the armor she had worn in order to say 'hello'. Now this was almost too normal. Her heart skipped a couple beats as she eyes the Mandolorian armor. Yes, I'm not particularly interested in the statistics on your armor..though plenty of the fallen surely would have preferred to know what I do. She found it odd that all Rayne wore underneath the heavy equipment was some simple garments more suited for fitness. Then again, that armor could be heavy at times. No sense making it more difficult to move with fatigues.

Though Astrid never took pride in her coffee-blending skills, evidently Rayne was enjoying herself as she scalded her tongue and downed the drink in a few sips. Wow, alright. Someone's thirsty. The silence was just about to approach being weird when Rayne cut through it like a tongue through caf. Her place. Oh, right. That was a thing. It technically wasn't even hers. Not like anyone else ever used it, though. She'd never had to share anything with another agent, either. Lucky her.

"I guess you could say that...thank you. So...why did you come down here, anyways? I doubt it was just to say hello."

She leaned back, resting her mug on the cheap nightstand with a sharp intake of breath as she waited for some kind of explanation.

Rayne eyed the little female for some time before speaking, You can't possibly be.. Rayne started, stopping her self as she didn't really want to hear the answer and instead began to ask another question, Why do you.. Rayne stopped again.. Kad dam.. out with it woman!! Rayne silently scolded herself.. Fhtagn this.. She thought before she struck like lightning and gripped the small shirt the girl was wearing with her left hand, Rayne was spun steel and might possibly have had more muscle in her left arm than this girl had in her whole body.. a theory Rayne very much wanted to investigate for herself..

Pulling the girl by her shirt, she felt the threads ripping between her fingers as she did so, the girl now awkwardly up on her knees on the bed, Rayne lifted her own body up onto her her left knee and the pairs lips met, Rayne's right hand quickly crept up the girl's back, feeling her spine as she did so to the back of her skull, @Astridia Kazaczecho's hair now entwined in her fingers. She'd been able to pull away when they assaulted that bar earlier in the night, mostly because Rayne had let her, but also because their was potential for witnesses to that moment. Here, in the seclusion of @Astridia Kazaczecho's own apartment she would be afforded neither of those things, no possible witness or anyone to interfere, and Rayne would most certainly not be letting her go.

Rayne was not one who was good with words, often blunt and to the point in any situation except these, it was moments like this that struck Rayne silent, leaving her without words, or at least without words that made sense, and she often relied heavily on her actions to communicate.

@Astridia Kazaczecho was locked in Rayne's embrace, and would hopefully decide to reciprocate, otherwise this night was bound to become severely more awkward..

Astrid had little to no time to react as she was propped up, locked in, and set for Rayne to have them meet lips. Part of her mind went to whatever coffee was in nearby falling distance, but those thoughts were interrupted by cool hands creeping up her back and holding the back of her head in place. At this point in time Astridia assumed that the woman wasn't very goos at highlighting her feelings in words. She supposed it could have been much worse, especially with what appeared to be a rather significant size difference. She had nothing to move, no way to move, as Rayne continued what she had started.

Her muscles finally began to work and she brought her arms around the woman's neck, eyes shutting while she leaned in closer and what she could only imagine as steel cables holding a suspension bridge began to tighten. Astrid tried to break away to catch a breath before realizing her own surprise at what had just happened. So much for being professional, then. Plus, it could have been much, much worse. Especially with Rayne at the reins. Ba-dum tsss.

Yeah, no. Don't ever say that out loud.

@Astridia Kazaczecho had placed her arms around Rayne's neck, there'd be no fight here, much to Rayne's relief. With her right arm already supporting her neck, Rayne scooped the girls legs with her left arm, letting loose the shirt she had held an iron grip on, and stood from the bed, the smaller girl now cradled in her arms, Rayne may have strained once, but she wouldn't have shown it, her strength shining as she carried the girl. Their lips never parted as she continued to press, release, press and slip tongue in, but Rayne was forced to open her eyes for a moment as she carried the imperial girl to the bathroom, after the fight they'd been in earlier that night, they both needed a shower, and from the looks of it, @Astridia Kazaczecho had planned to take one just before Rayne's arrival.

Rayne finally set her down on the sink, leaning away for a moment to turn on the shower, hopefully she'd turned it to a comfortable level of heat as she didn't pay much attention to where the knob had landed.

Returning to the matter at hands.. Rayne pulled the dirty shirt from the girl, and removed her own before embracing the girl, their skin touching as she held her again and pressed their lips together once more.

A few moments more, and Astridia was airborne. The very same activity that she had pulled away from a mere couple of hours earlier was now the only thing her mind was focused on currently. Soon enough she was sitting down, this time on her sink, and she was able to wipe her mouth. Her mind wandered off for a few moments while she bit back a smile. So this was what she was reduced to, now that she had lowered her Imperial standards? A Mandalorian woman who could scoop her up like a clay pot? Brilliant. Things were looking up.

Astrid kicked herself back into the present. Her shirt was missing and the water was on, and Rayne was currently back at her old acts, suddenly now much closer. She couldn't tell if it was her spice-tinged brain or just her own instincts, but something told her that this was completely fine even as the Imperial part of her screamed for a halt in festivities. She shut that down fairly quick, hands resting on the counter as she decided to just let this all run its course. Might as well make full use of her little business trip, anyways. Especially for something as awesome as this.

Rayne knew what she was doing, but Astrid's trepidation indicated she likely did not, or at least that she was new to this. It was fine, Rayne planned to show her the ropes, introduce her to the finer part of the galaxy.

Rayne had continued to distract the girl by pressing their lips together, and by running her left hand up Astrid's back, while her right unfastened the girls lower fatigues. She was some sort of military operative, a real imperial lawbringer, but faction alliance didn't matter in this room, a troubling thought that they would need to deal with in the future, but one that matter not here or now.

With a tug, a lift, and a pull, Astrid was nearly without clothes as her fatigues slid from her bare legs, falling below the sink, as the heat and moisture from the shower beside them began to fog the mirrior behind Astrid.

Rayne pulled Astrid's hair back with her left hand, bringing her chin upward and sank her teeth into Astrid's neck, not enough to draw blood, but enough to intensify the moment, her right hand now joining the fray by gripping her around the waist.

Astrid could feel just from the radiant heat of the water vapor swirling around them within the air that the mirror was going to be totally useless in a few minutes. And now she was missing her pants, a notion that had taken a couple of seconds for her to register, seeing as her lips were tightly pressed to Rayne's mouth and she was basically being handled throughout this whole ordeal. Sure, Astrid wasn't experienced in the arts of companionship (nor did she have a few hundred years under her belt). She was all business her whole life. But now she was beginning to regret a lot of that.

Her eyes fluttered open as she found teeth nipping her neck, a hand reaching for the back of Rayne's skull as she exhaled sharply, leaning a little away from the bite while a hand came to stop her. Her hair pulled at her scalp, and she realized that this was going to be a rather rough ride. Not that she was opposed, just not proficient in what was likely going to happen in the next few moments.

Rayne's teeth stayed connected, as she closed her lips around the girls neck, there would be a mark once she was done, although temporary, it would prove Rayne had been there until it was gone, her hair still pulled down her back so she faced the ceiling of the room.

Rayne used this time to prepare, Astrid was distracted and there was still work to do.. She'd pushed her own shorts down enough that they would fall on their own, and all she needed to do was step out of them. Between the two of them only one piece of cloth remained, and Rayne's sights were set on it...

She loosed the girls hair from her left hand, and in an almost impressive maneuver that combined natural skill and earned experience, she used her left hand behind Astrid's back and pulled her from the sink so she landed on her feet, her right hand which had returned to the girls hip pulled at the cloth, and when the girl stood it was already low enough to fall on it's own.

Rayne stood there for a moment, admiring what she was beholding, not unlike a predator after a kill, coincidentally also with the same watering mouth..

Finally rayne looked up to the girl's eyes, the assessment of the girls features likely only took a couple seconds, but as they were standing face to face less than a foot apart, it was overtly obvious.

Rayne's left arm was still behind Astrid's back, and she did a presentation wave toward the shower, the steam from it filling the room already. Not only was it polite to allow the "lady," which in this case was obviously Astrid, to lead the way, but Rayne also wanted a chance to observe the full scope of her, ie. She'd seen the front, now the back.. After you, ma' lady... She said.

Astridia felt her hair fall as the mark on her neck was set to remain there for a little while. She brushed her lips against Rayne's as her little trick was commenced, the Imperial soon finding herself rather bare and exposed when a few moments ago she'd have considered her situations acceptable in a public place. Her mind set aside the look she was getting from her blonde acquaintance, choosing to shut her eyes momentarily before stepping aside and raising an eyebrow. She felt rather small considering her athletic but not quite muscular frame, especially around someone who had a few inches of height on her and had already made a few moves in the recent past.

Astrid wandered into the shower and turned to face Rayne, immediately getting used to the heat of the water pouring down and attempting to form a smile. First time for everything. I guess I can add this to the bucket list. Mandalorian warrior? That's an interesting story for an autobiography. She had nearly rolled her eyes at the 'm'lady', partly because of its accuracy within the Imperial language and of her lack of desire for the title in any way.

"You're having too much fun with the name calling."

Rayne stepped into the open shower, the perfectly comfortably heated water flowing over her, and Astrid's, naked frames was calming, and relaxing. Rayne grasped at the Astrid's hands, and placed them over her own shoulders as she then gripped the girl on both sides of the waist with her own and pulled her closer as she leaned in.

Rayne's left hand moved up the center of Astrid's back, the water letting it flow freely without drag, her right hand embracing the girl all the way around Astrid's waist, pulling her ever closer. She then pushed their lips together and simultaneously bit Astrid's lower lip and she ran her left hand finger nails down the girls spine with enough force that four or five red lines would form on her back from just below the neck in a small curve to over her right ribs.

Rayne's left arm then took the place of her right in the holding (restraining) of Astrid's waist, and though the two were pressed closely together, her right hand, with the help of the heated water, was able to slide between the two of them as she found the sweet spot, in an amount of time that was almost impressive, and once more returned her teeth to the woman's neck, near.. ish.. where they had been previously.

Astrid's breath quickened as Rayne took control of the situation once again. She didn't think. She couldn't think. The seemingly random acts of affection she was receiving, such as the bite on her lip, her neck, and the scratches on her back kept her in the present. Normally that didn't happen. But here she was, the scratch marks stinging but suddenly nullified by the water rolling off her skin. Her brain sent imaginary fireworks into her thoughts and a sigh turned into a laugh while they kicked off the night's festivities.

Astridia lay on her bed, brushing still-damp hair to the side of her pillow as she shut her eyes. She'd been under that water for a while, and wrinkles had formed on her fingertips--something that had turned the latter part of their journey into a bit of a shock to her system. Rayne knew her way around things. Astrid was still deciding whether or not that was an inherently good thing. Half of her brain had decided that was an absolute yes, and it bickered with the other, half-brainwashed, half dazed bit that was currently trying to rationalise the situation. Frankly, it wasn't doing a great job, and she couldn't wipe a slight smile off her face.

"Here's hoping they don't question the broken window and the water bill..."

Astrid stuck out her tongue and rotated on her side.

Rayne snicked a bit as the girl made her remark about her employer. Just tell them Mandalore will replace the window.. Rayne replied with a short lived laugh, the reality of their conversation threatening to invade their time together. The fact of the matter was that Mandalore planned to invade the Nal Hutta space only a few days from now.. And Rayne wasn't quite sure what that meant for whatever was going on now.

Rayne was laying on @Astridia Kazaczecho's bed now, the towel wrapped around her hips, while the mostly dry rest of her lay on the bed covers. The movement of Astrid rotating caused Rayne to turn her head, her hair was long, and therefore difficult to fully dry, so it stuck to the pillow in places, the water dampening it.

Rayne reached up with her right hand and touched the girl's chin, she was beautiful, that was for sure, and either she was a good kisser, or Rayne was such a good kisser it made up for it, either way, Rayne was enjoying it. So... Uh.. you come here often? She finally said with a snicker. She'd been forced back into the world where people had to talk, not just touch.. and that put her at a disadvantage.

Astridia had no idea what Mandalore had planned for this system, and she certainly wouldn't be around to find out. She ran her hand through the longer blonde hair of Rayne and shut her eyes slightly while the woman grasped her chin. She wiped her hand against the towel on Rayne's waist, the long hair probably going to be dripping for the next half an hour. She smiled and giggled while Rayne once again said the same thing she had said only an hour or so earlier. Astrid shrugged and shifted how she was resting.

"No, don't suppose I do. But you definitely gave me a grand tour."

It was painfully obvious that Rayne didn't like talking. She wasn't the best at it. They kind of played to each other's strengths in that respect. Astrid was all about talking. She most definitely was feeling around in the dark a little while ago. With a slight pun intended there. Astrid brushed her hair behind her face and kept staring at Rayne, waiting for some kind of response.

Well.. I just wanted to make you feel at home.. Rayne said, maybe the smoothest thing she'd said all evening, and her practiced smile added to the allure of her statement, that and the nudity...

Rayne snaked her left arm behind Astrid's neck, and laid down flat on the pillow, hoping to pull Astrid's head onto her shoulder, Do.. uh... do you.. like.. things?.. Rayne said, the complete awkwardness nullifying the smoothness of her previous statement fleeting like sand between her fingers. Rayne sighed and looked at the ceiling, the complete foolishness of what she'd just done angering her at herself. So much for small talk dumbass.. Rayne thought, chastising herself.

Rayne's next sentence actually took Astridia off guard, and she rose an eyebrow before letting out a short laugh. There we go...maybe we'll see an improvement in a little while. It'll take work, but perhaps there's hope yet. She slid next to Rayne and did exactly as expected, running a hand down the woman's chest and stopping at her stomach while the blonde managed to lose her brief touch with smooth talk. That just made Astrid all the more amused and she dragged her fingers across Rayne's jaw as she replied.

"You're getting the hang of it. I'm sure you'll be swaying everyone in no time at all. Or you could leave the small talk to me. After all, I am a little bit shorter anyways. It'd fit me better, I think."

All Astrid could think at this point was, What an odd pair, us two...

Yep. That was it.
