History of Ge'tal

Ge'tal was born on the Taung world of Mandalore a decade before his species were integrated into the Hutt Empire. He was raised like all Taung children; learning the Taung religion and studying the ways of the warrior. As his final test for being accepted into Taung society, he fought and defeated the other members of his class, proving himself superior to them as a warrior.

Later on, when the first Hutt exploratory team came and landed on Mandalore, Ge'tal had worked his way up in Taung society, leading the "welcoming" party that attacked and brought down the Hutt team. Six months later, a full battle group hailing from the Hutt Empire invaded Mandalore. The Taung leader, Mandalore, gathered the militias of the Taung clans and went into battle with the Hutt military force. As a leader who had proven himself worthy against the previous Hutt threat, Ge'tal was made a commander of Mandalore's army.

The ensuing conflict resulted in the death of many Taung and Hutts. Throughout the conflict, Ge'tal was known for his valiantness, always entering battle with straightforward tactics, earning him much respect in the Taung social structure. Eventually, the Taungs managed to fight the Hutts to a standstill. The Hutt commander approached the then-Mandalore and showed him, along with his commanders, like Ge'tal, holo-projections of the Hutt enemy, the Republic. Finally faced with a worthy foe, the Taung allied with their former Hutt enemies and Ge'tal was integrated into their society as the Mandalorian Warriors of the Shadows. Ge'tal, along with the other members of his species, held strong distaste for the Hutts, however.

During the First Hutt War, Ge'tal served in the Raid of Balmorra, a victory for the Taungs, and the Battle of Bothawui though his exact role is unknown. During one of the many conflicts in the First Hutt War, Ge'tal managed to kill two Jedi Knights, Raian Kol and Nimm Voddher, though he was wounded in the fight. Afterwards, he gained great prestige within his clan, being named "Jetii Kry'am" (Jedi Death). The fight with the Jedi made Ge'tal respect the Jedi Order as worthy opponents.

The Hutts ended up winning the First Hutt War, with the conflict ending in a ceasefire. During the four years between the First Hutt War and the Second, Ge'tal trained hard, working his way up the Taung ranks....

Additional Information

Personality: Ge'tal is a battle-hardened warrior, the very symbol of Taung society. He is a being of honor and strength. His military past has made him harsh to those who know no respect. He is not merciful, having earned a name for being a "Jedi killer", but he respects opponents that have proven themselves worthy, such as the Republic and the Jedi.

Like all Taung, he is very xenophobic, best shown in his disgust for the Hutts as a species. The only species he finds more revolting than the Hutts are Humans, which tend to make up the majority of his enemies. Ge'tel is also very stubborn, refusing to quit or surrender battle until he is dead or until he is rendered unable to fight any further.

Ge'tel is fiercely loyal to the Mandalore, whoever happens to hold that position, as he views that person as the most capable warrior in the galaxy. He follows Mandalore's orders without hesitation, and carries them out to the fullest.

I like him, the only thing I would do is trade intelligence for wisdom. He seems to be more battle-hardened hard nosed vet then strategical genius and pioneer. Only thing I would switch is that vidroblade to a proper Mandalorian beskad.

We'll go with Alor'ad, or Captain, for now. Keep in mind that each PC kill you get going forward will probably result in promotion.

Good character. :D
