BIOGRAPHY:
Born the twin of Karenza Ardelandre, Geth spent her early life with promises of aspiring to become a jedi. Driven by glorified visions of what was to come, Karenza and Geth were very close in both working and playing with this goal in mind.
However, when confronted with the future promised, Geth was declined under the instruction the jedi way was not the calling the force had for her, and her influence with the force was not strong enough to prove herself, even for the age she was. Karenza, however, was taken to be trained as a youngling and a padawan.
For years Geth was faced with a life she thought denied to her, instead turning her goals to work in the family trade as a craftswoman, which she took to with enthusiasm (a mind-set some in her family believed was intended to bury the memory of her twin and the life she thought she was entitled to).
By the age of seventeen, she was a respected and proven member of her clan and close family, having taken to the stars to expand their business holdings elsewhere in the galaxy where their wares would be considered in higher demand.
At the age of twenty, Karenza crossed her path again, when she and her master came to the world she was now based. With their intent to hunt an individual who had evaded earlier capture, Karenza and her master came to confront a man by the name of Vol-took. The confrontation was short-lived, and with Gethsemane as a witness, Karenza was cut down when she was disarmed, her lightsaber cloven in two, and her throat slit by a vibrosword.
Faced with the deadly foe, Karenza's master fought the assailant across the streets that had never known such excitement and drama. Geth, however, broke from cover to her sister's side, whereby she watched her sister die, despite any desperate effort she attempted to stabilize and counter the blood loss.
Later confronted by the master, her ties to the force told the jedi of her relationship to the apprentice. Honouring Geth's request that she be returned to her home-world and buried by her family.
Upon leaving some time later, Karenza's master returned to Corusant with the body of the target. Geth returned to her homeworld where Karenza was laid to rest before she took to the stars once more, resenting the jedi as those responsible for the death of her twin sister.
It is suspected by members of her family that stowed away in her mementos, Geth still possesses the two broken halves of Karenza's lightsaber. Its khyber crystal missing and mounted on a necklace under her clothes she has since refused to ever take off.
In spite of all her skill building and repairing, Geth outright refuses to ever tinker with the remains of her sister's lightsaber and acknowledges possessing it to very few close to her.
In her latest years she has made a home aboard a Corellian station, where she has become the resident mechanic and engineer. She holds a dislike for the jedi, feeling her sister's death could have been prevented if better action was taken, but otherwise has no regrets in her new life as a mechanic rather than imagining herself as a jedi.
APPEARANCE:
With dark skin and a mess of black hair, she has the typical look of a Korunnai. Possessing a tattoo on her left arm of an Akk Dog curled up from a top-down angle, in memory of her roots. She bears a belt and often wears loose-fitting trousers to better accommodate the contortionist angles required to reach and repair certain hard-to-reach machines. On her belt she almost always has a pair of thick insulated gloves. She has no qualms about getting dirty with repairs and is often marred with some kind of oil or dirt on her loose clothing.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Quail (NPC) - Since joining the Corellian space station, Geth fast became friends with a retired pensioner of the local asteroid mining region. Having once been a foreman of some repute, he exists almost as a face in the crowd among the populace. With a scraggly grey beard and a receding hairline, his general appearance is one of a shuffling old man barely able to care for himself. This is further evidenced by shaking hands, an unreliable memory, and a pet robot he believes is his human infant son despite being entirely inanimate and only declaring brief beeps at random, sparse intervals.
For all these traits, Geth has a mix of pity and sympathy for the man, whose routine consists of aimlessly wandering the station and spending his pension money at the bar. Talking to him as regular company whether he remembers their conversations or not. He is a familiar face on a station with people coming and going about their business.
