A cool breeze floated through the forest, causing the red and yellow leaves to dance on the wind. The warm sunshine shined across the surface of Telos. The Sith troopers were offered no reprieve with the good weather. They scurried about the outpost with their tasks, seeking to not displease their overlords. It was not a massive outpost, but decently sized, and with a few vehicles to boot.
Across a clearing near the edge of the forest that faced the encampment, a lone man waited. Clad in medium armor, with blaster carbine and helm at his side, he rested stoically in a small dugout. The autumn splinter of his armor masked his outline further. Varek finished his scan, laying the binoculars down and pulling out a food ration. He had been here for 12 hours preparing, hopefully the other mercs would show up soon and things could get underway.
Varek's employer, Man-at-Arms Corp., had quite a lucrative business going in their expanding reach. Their business model was simply too good to resist for all parties involved. Contracts are submitted anonymously on the basis of "customer confidentiality", allowing the suspicious to contract to an almost-legitimate business. A percentage goes to the company up front while the rest goes to the mercenary. For the average merc, the price is almost always right.
Watching the star dip lower in the sky, signalling the evening, Viper munched down his ration solemnly.
@Gian Greydragon
EDIT: something something contract cant be traced back to MAA Corp.
