A cool breeze floated through the forest, causing the red and yellow leaves to dance on the wind. The warm sunshine shined across the surface of Telos. The Sith troopers were offered no reprieve with the good weather. They scurried about the outpost with their tasks, seeking to not displease their overlords. It was not a massive outpost, but decently sized, and with a few vehicles to boot.

Across a clearing near the edge of the forest that faced the encampment, a lone man waited. Clad in medium armor, with blaster carbine and helm at his side, he rested stoically in a small dugout. The autumn splinter of his armor masked his outline further. Varek finished his scan, laying the binoculars down and pulling out a food ration. He had been here for 12 hours preparing, hopefully the other mercs would show up soon and things could get underway.

Varek's employer, Man-at-Arms Corp., had quite a lucrative business going in their expanding reach. Their business model was simply too good to resist for all parties involved. Contracts are submitted anonymously on the basis of "customer confidentiality", allowing the suspicious to contract to an almost-legitimate business. A percentage goes to the company up front while the rest goes to the mercenary. For the average merc, the price is almost always right.

Watching the star dip lower in the sky, signalling the evening, Viper munched down his ration solemnly.

@Gian Greydragon

EDIT: something something contract cant be traced back to MAA Corp.

Galaar needed new droids for the farm, thus he began picking up contracts in Sith Space, specifically the Kwymar Sector, on Telos IV, or simply Telos, for short. Galaar had never gone to Sith Space without Mandalorian vod at his side, but this mercenary outfit had aided the Rau in the past, with some light counter-privacy work in his youth. This mercenary specifically, Galaar knew nothing about, but he continued to the meeting place outside the Sith base. They'd moved independently to minimize visibility. As the star set over Telos, Galaar made it to the spot, kneeling underneath the brush, as he came upon the mercenary.

"Clan Rau sends ther' regards," Galaar whispered, "so whastha sitch, bawss man? What're we lookin' at?" he said, carrying his Shriek Eagle Long Carbine, and his other usual gear hanging off his personalized Heavy Beskar'gam, schemed black and grey, with the skull of the iconic Mythosaur emblazened onto his left pectoral region of his chestpiece.

It took more than a moment for Varek to process what the Mandalorian said to him. He kept a straight face though, and continued to scan around the Sith base. This was business. For all the power of the Sith, they were as by the book as any conventional military force. His intimate knowledge of the Sith army would hopefully prove useful, if nothing went awry.

"Those light vehicles are the biggest problem. This won't last long if they get moving. Fortunately the Sith keep fuel nearby. Some explosives might be able to take care of that problem, if we play our cards right. Still quite a bit of infantry-but a large patrol is supposed to be heading out fairly soon. I didn't see any force users but I won't believe that 'til we're stuck in. We hit the outpost after that, then ambush the patrol once they realize whats happened. Problem solved."

Viper was very blunt. He had heard of the Mando, and if the rumors were correct they both knew what to expect. No reason to waste words. It might not be that easy...but the opportunity was there if they could capitalize on it.

Galaar nodded, and placed a hand on the 'chin' of his helmet. "Awright. Well, less get'tis show awn tha road," he said, before checking his weapon, then moving up, nearer to the compound, with a running start, and leaping, with the help of his Jump jets, and firing at the tanks, scoring a hit on the tanks, and prompting an explosion, but in the process, his foot gets caught between the chainlink and horizontal support bar, catching him by his ankle, and flipping him into a most precarious position, as he dangled like a hawkbat, but not before slamming into the chainlinks below.

"D'oh, Kad-dammit, Ah'm stuck!" he exclaimed. If he were lucky, the Sith would pity him enough to laugh at his misfortune rather than shoot at him, despite him blowing their light vehicles sky high.

In his infinite stupidity, however, he found a gleaming beacon of hope, as he turned to meet a Sith Agent, who had taken notice of him, and lined his sights on the indisposed Mandalorian. He quickly turned, and with his Shriek Eagle, fired a pair of bolts into his lower center mass, making a mess of his guts, and falling free of his bindings. Landing, and rolling to his feet, he moved safely to cover before engaging anymore Agents of the Old Empire.

James floored the accelerator on the speeder bike as he zipped through the forest it reminded him a forest near farm back home. That resemblance ended pretty quickly as he cleared the edge of the forest and came into a clearing straight into the confused mess of an Imperial encampment engulfed in flames and in the midst of a fire fight "Ta'hye Osik"

James brought the speeder to a skidding halt and leapt clear. He began scanning the area and what saw made him pause "Meg?". Dangling by one leg from the fence just inside the camp was another mandalorian warrior. He ran towards the other warrior laying covering fire as he went as he hit the fence line he shouted "Ne'waadas a gaan ner burc'ya?"

Viper cleared the fence without a problem. He noticed the Mando getting stuck before coming under fire. Blaster bolts sizzled off of durasteel as the merc ducked behind cover. Taking potshots to suppress the enemy, he could tell he couldn't get to his comrade while taking so much fire. He primes a grenade, getting a near perfect throw. The Sith soldiers hollared as it landed dead in the center of the throng. All but 2 were decimated by the blast.

In shock, they fell back as Varek fired on the troopers. He managed to clip one before the Sith's comrade fired a glancing shot into his shoulder. The damage was minimal, but enough to knock him in his ass, bashing his head hard enough to give him a bruise and a very slight headache.

He looked over to see another Mando helping Galaar before stating, "good timing, I was wondering when you were gonna show up."

A Mandalorian of Clan Bralor approached Galaar, just as he managed to free himself, dropping to the ground and rolling to his feet. "No, but if you're here to assault the Empire, feel free to join us," he replied in Mando'a as he took cover behind a crate. Peering over the crate he'd taken cover behind. "I'll go down the middle, you two flank, we'll hit the bunker from all sides," he said, before slipping out of cover and strafing to another nearby crate, lining himself up directly in front of the enemies' main bunker.

Two sentries were atop the bunker with A10 Long blasters. Galaar took aim with his Shriek Eagle, and fired a pair of bolts at both of them, killing one but narrowly missing the other with both bolts, but with a quick readjustment, he corrected his own mistake, taking him out with a shot to the head.

After a time, the three Mandalorians, found they'd been able to clear out the small Sith outpost. Their work was done, and it was time to collect on the job. Galaar turned with the other two men, and loaded up on their speeders a few dozen meters away. Short of Galaar's slightly damaged pride, none of the men would be harmed today, and it would be chalked up as a win for the Mandalorians.
