Glorious Jewel
NAL HUTTA, the so called 'Glorious Jewel' was in truth, anything but, indeed its inhabitants, the crime barons and gastropod vermin known as 'the Hutts' had played a the game for so long, they even they fell for their own devices, firm and stalwart in their uncontested belief of self superiority, and in the concept that Nal Hutta was the wealthiest of all worlds - Glorious indeed. However, the truth was far from that, for the game the Hutts played ensured that the decpetion of wealth was always upheld - for the only citizens of the planet - the Hutts themselves - where wealthy, but the bast populartion of the planet, namely slaves and off-worlders, often struggled to get buy, subsiting off the wealth and opulence of their Hutt masters, in a society that suited the arrogant Hutts immeasurably.

It was this desire to propagate a near constant feeling of awe and megesty around their kind that had lead to Nal Hutta holding to title for 'Most Palaces per square mile' (a title that was held as a close second by the planets moon, Nar Shadaa) for every Hutt desire to live in a Palace or would sponge off a family member, and just pretend that they did. As part of this lifestyle however, that had lead to the destruction of the planets once vibrant eco-system, the extinction (or near enough) of its main inhabitants - the Evocii.

As Nor'baal Desajilic Koragga looked down from the observation deck of the Hutt Embassy (pictured above) he could see two of the Evocii being haplessly tormented by one of the Embassies many Guards - squat pig like creatures armed with Shotguns and wicked axes. He smirked as he watched the food chain in action, the Evocii being savaged by the Guards, as the Hutt himself closed the shutter, the bright lights of the squalid world proving to much for him today, and returned to his office. The office was relatively large, so as to suit the requirements of its user, but like much in the embassy it was opulent to the extreme, filled with images and icons showing off the 'Power of the Glorious Hutt Peoples' - or at least that had been the intention.

Unlike many palaces on the home-world of the Hutts, this Embassy lacked a vast dungeon, room for slaves and creatures most exotic, instead it was more like a security complex, with ample lodging for visiting guests (of which there where many) and rooms for the Ambassador, Nor'baal, and his numerous junior Ambassadors and other staff. It lacked the pleasure and ease of a Palace, akin more to an Office or Government Building in Nor'baals mind. However, the Hutt has business to attend to, and as such he slithered, in his usual ornate garb, complete with cape, hat and pistol concealing bracers, into the bar area, which was ironically where most of the Hutts congregated in the numerous dark alcoves around the room.

He was here for a reason today, a meeting called - for reasons he was unsure - with Senator Aren Krass. Taking his seat, he was informed that the man had arrived, and beckoned a Bounty Hunter he had with him forwards, so the Hutt could run over the security for Senator Krass - who would be stripped of his weapons, and his guards, as he entered the compound that served as the Embassy. Senator Krass' Security inside the Palace was of great concern to the Hutt, outside the Palace - he did not really care - for the Senator had not been provided lodging for this visit - a sign of the mistrust the Hutts held the Republic in.

A thug, standing near the Hutt, pointed through the crowded room, as he saw the Senator approach the alcove which contained Nor'baal and his gang... @Prudence

Emissary Complex
Nal Hutta

Aren Krass rode in a non-descript shuttle across the gloomy, gaseous skies of Nal Hutta. His private yacht had been taken to a nearby system, where he had shuttled over via this shuttle as to not draw attention to his presence here. It wasn't common place for a senator of Aren's caliber, and public moral standing, to be seen on the crime world. Such would bring about media talks as to what exactly the senator was doing on 'Hutta, and that business was strictly classified. When the shuttle landed in the private docking bay that had been provided inside the complex, he exited the shuttle quickly. Wearing his blue suit, an armorweave vest underneath, and armorweave padding along his legs and arms, Aren was prepared for an attack against his life. His guards wore their standard senatorial CorSec attire, and carried vibrostaffs and carbines.
When Aren and his entourage reached the doors his guards were demanded to stay there, which they dutifully did. He continued into the complex alone, flanked only by Jaba's Guards. At the door they had also stripped him of his sole armament, his side blaster pistol. Aren continued across the room into the alcolve, indicated by the thug, to meet Nor'baal,

"Ambassador, it is good to see you again." he gave a friendly gesture with his hands "After our business here is finished I have a gift for you waiting in my shuttle."

It was most unsettling as to why the man had taken such extreme lengths to not be seen coming to the Glorious Jewel, but had still come accompanied with two (now unarmed) Guards, in full CSec Ceremonial Dress, for now anyone with half a brain would be able to discern who the man was. Of small comfort to the Hutt however, was the fact that none bar those closest to the Senator, or to Nor'baal, would have been party to the reason as to why they would be meeting today - indeed, Nor'baal himself was not sure at this stage.

More fool him, the Hutt chuckled to himself, relishing in the prospect of how he could use this information if ever the Senator double crossed him, as the man stalked across the hectic and crowded bar toward him. The Hutt could spy a few familiar faces in the crowd, Hunters and other such scum with whom he had done business, drinking and generally mingling with their fellow low-lifes. It was comforting in some small way, to see the mark he - as a lowly Ambassador - was beginning to make.

Watching as the man spoke to him offering the usual pleasantries to be expected at such a gathering, the Hutt remained motionless, not deigning to incline his head or offer a greeting of his own as the Senator from Corellia mentioned a gift awaiting the Hutt in his shuttle for after their business today was concluded. Somewhat of an error in decorum, the Hutt noted, before waving a thug forward, and speaking:

<The pleasure is yours Senator, and welcome to Hutta. Gorthurrg....> he said, as the Gamorrean stepped forwards <....will handle the transit of your no doubt generous gift.> the pig-like creature grunted, and shuffled its way down to the shuttle below, ready to take the gift on behalf of its master and bring it in. Meanwhile, Nor'baal had to deal with more pressing concerns, the business of the day <What brings you to the Glorious Jewel Senator?>

Aren nodded "Of course I, or one of my guards, can guide Gorthurrg to your gift. I would have carried it in myself, but it weighed far too much. It is an entire case of exotic gems." he offered a warm smile and continued,

"I'm here for business, Ambassador. I'd like to take out a bounty through your court."

OOC: Your posts are short, and that makes you a terrible person. As punishment for your short post, I am setting a Kowakian Monkey Lizard on you.

Lazily, the Hutt looked at the Senator as he made known the nature of his gift, and snorted to himself. What an imaginative gift, thought the Hutt, mentally consigning the 'entire case' of exotic gems to the warehouse or to the foot of his sleeping recliner where he could forget about them as he did so. Idly Nor'baal flicked his tail, the small Kowakian Monkey Lizard that usual dwelt there squealing, and leaping out of the way - up into the top of the rafter as the Hutt refocused his attention on the Senator and the business of the day.

<Who and how much?> came the blunt reply, as the Hutt waved a hand for one of his lackeys to place a Dataslate in it, so that the Hutt could not down to the details of this arrangement, however, before it could be placed in his hand, Nor'baal waved it away, instead suggesting that the lackey could make the notes - for the Hutt had no appetite for it. <Well?> he pressed for an answer, as his Hookah pipe was brought up by one of the Ambassadorial Staff, a pipe upon which he started to smoke.

Nor'baals attention was however taken by the Monkey Lizard, who had now climbed over the ceiling above the Senator, and was loudly grunting as it empities its bowels all over the Senators fine suit.....

ooc: my first post was long >.> but my second one I was tired and don't even remember writing it during class. oop.
Krass examined the Hutt after he revealed the gift. It hadn't taken much capital for Krass to acquire the gems, and he had hoped at least their marketability would have sated the Hutt's appetite. Krass knew the Hutt would likely have preferred spice, or something illicit of that nature, but Aren wasn't interested in going through the hassle, and the risk, of attaining such materials. Clearly the Hutt wasn't satisfied, but such was life. He smiled as the Hutt requested the information, which led Krass to withdraw a datapad from within his coat.

"His name is Aibhne Tibbot. I'll be listing him for a million credits, dead. I have no interest in dealing with him alive. All I want is his lightsaber. Do with the body however they like. I'd like it to be a no name listing as well. Keep my name well out of it. I'll pay you in advance for brokering it so that I don't ever have to meet the hunter. I have no desire to."

His face twisted into disgust for a moment as he felt the feces rain on him. He withdrew a small cloth from inside his suit and wiped most of it away, moving out of the direct stream. He would be incinerating this suit as soon as he was aboard his yacht.

It was certainly turning out to be a day far more interesting that the corpulent Hutt has originally expected; assassinations and political scheming always did get the blood racing. The money Senator Krass was willing to back this ploy with was enticing in itself, but a far more succulent morsel to the Hutts intuitive mind was what the political animal sought to gain from such a risky endeavor.

He contemplated it a while as he placed the details for the bounty in place, redacting Mr. Krass' name of course, before claiming the 50,000 credit arrangement fee, and placing an automatic redirect order for 20% of the Bounty once it was claimed to one of his many accounts.

Perhaps those gems had a meaning after all? the Hutt considered. Senator Krass still had a greater amount to learn about the cut and the proverbial thrust of public office, but his willingness to arrange for the death of his presumed rivals was certainly a step on the correct direction.

Nor'baal, the details now finalized did not however wish to see the Senator move away, their business was far from concluded for the day. The Hutt arranged for a skiff, on of the Embassies own, to be brought around so that he could take the Senator to his sail barge, for a brief tour of the Glorious Jewels main settlement.

He did not speak to the Senator, instead sending a lackey to do it instead as he arranged for the skiff to be readied. Shifting himself from the recliner, the Hutt joined the Senator in making their way down for the tour.

Krass, disgusted at the excrement on his shoulder, would have preferred to not go anywhere else before a sanisteam and a change of wardrobe, but it would seem the Hutt had a different plan. He had sent a lackey to collect Aren and bring him around for a ride in one of the Hutt's many skiffs. Great.

Aren agreed to follow, prestigiously walking alongside the lackey, as he was lead through the emissary building towards where Nor'baal was waiting for him. What the Hutt wanted was unknown to him, but he would go along with the Hutt and satisfy him. Nor'baal would be a powerful ally. When he arrived on the sail barge e was brought to the area where he and Nor'baal would spectate aboard the barge, and waited for the Hutt to show up.

Nearly half an hour would have passed before Nor'baal decided he should probably go down to the location of his guest, and meet him on the barge. Such a bore, the Hutt thought to himself, as the Skiff gently passed around a group of Evocii Children, playing football in the streets. A cruel thought passed through the Hutts equally cruel mind, and he instructed the skiff to turn around, stopping by the children, so as to allow one of his guards to take the football. He could hear the children weeping as he flew off toward the meeting with Senator Krass.

It was a beautiful sound.

Soon, the pleasure barge that had been prepared for this particular tour of the 'Glorious Jewel' appeared before him, like vast pustule of gregarious excess, fashioned from metal, in a cruel and crass mockery of the finer yachts of the more delicate races. Nor'baal could already hear the Tubas, the Electric Janglers, Soosifutes, Trastands and (of course) the Tubas, forming together in beautiful harmony, the sounds clashing together like bricks in a Primary School. It assailed the senses in much the same way as a locust swarm assails a corn field - beautifully, yet agonizingly.

As the band made their melodious morass ever louder and more intrusive, the chef, a large Beselisk by the name of 'Gar'eh the Gourmand' (for his mother was most fortunate to give birth to a would be chef given her marital name) was working his magic - in a dubious sense of the word - on the collection of exotic flora and fauna presented to him by the Embassy, to state the ceaseless hunger of his guest. Bantha Steaks (raw of course), Kowakian Kocktails, Mandalore Martinis (with a dash of beskar) and of course, a health serving of Twi'lek Gougon - to name but a few.

Above it all, as the Hutt slithered aboard, the heady aroma of sweat, spice, alcohol, and the Hutts personal favorite - suffering. Zesty, the scent was coming from the small group of slaves in the corner, currently dancing for what may have been some sort of Ithorian gang, potentially loan sharks 'The Hammerheads' is said on their armbands. Within this room, the most wanted criminals on about 50 planets could be found, and above them all, Nor'baal sat in his recliner, watching through heavy eyes, as the room sat - like much of Hutt space - on a knifes edge between calm, and excessive violence.

Waving for Aren Krass to come forwards, as the yacht started to move, the Hutt noticed that there was not a seat for the Senator to rest upon. Oh well, he thought, as he saw the man approach. Out of the corner of his other eye, the Ambassador Nor'baal saw an associate of his, Deenik, also on board.....

"Alquono deg apprefaron, Gar'eh. Hahahahaha!"
After Deenik thanked Gar'eh for filling his stomach with as many martinis as he could whip up, he drunkenly stumbled away towards the slave dancers, snorting the last of the Spice he had brought in from his personal stash. Fortunately, he still had the product he was supposed to be "selling". Unfortunately, on his inebriated journey, he had stumbled into a rather large Aqualish thug and knocked the Kocktail out of his hands. The Aqualish brute muttered some kind of slur to Deenik before shoving him away, knocking Deenik into a booth to the side of the slave girls' performance. He watched, enthralled, as the beauty of the Twi'lek dancer in front of him enticed him with her beauty, and-
"Where did you get this garbage? I said to get the good stuff!" "It was all we had left!"
That's when he head it. Two of the Ithorian gentleman were having a dispute over the quality of the Spice they had brought in. Taking a moment to collect himself, he leaned over and tapped the shoulder of the shorter Ithorian. He spun around, the anger still on his face, but before he could berate Deenik, he simply held up a pouch of Spice and said;
"Purest stuff you'll find on the whole planet. 500 credits, and it's yours."
Deenik could see the thoughts churning in the Ithorian loan sharks' minds. The short one looked back and forth between Deenik and the taller one before nudging his companion with an elbow. The tall one got up and dropped a sack of credits into Deenik's ready and waiting hands. He smirked as he handed the Spice over, and the Ithorians eagerly grabbed at it and went off elsewhere to seemingly enjoy their fresh dose. Deenik split up the credits into two bags, one with 300 credits and the other with the rest of the profits. Under the guise of getting up to stretch his legs, he walked past Nor'Baal's protocol droid and dropped the heavier of the two bags into it's hand, while pointing discreetly at the Hutt. It was at that moment Deenik saw Krass for the first time, about to come aboard.

Krass, in the hour wait that had been subjected upon him via Nor'baal, had taken to cleaning his coat off. It wasn't sanitary, but at the same time no one would be able to tell there had been feces adorning his shoulder. He then spent the rest of his time gracefully waiting for the Hutt, who did not soon appear. He's fucking with me. Krass thought, frustrated. Eventually the barge did appear, and the Senator quickly climbed aboard pulling his coat close, and watching as the fringes danced out in the wind of the repulsors. He noticed a Rodian several paces behind him eying him as he climbed aboard.

Krass was led by Nor'baal's assistants to the location of the Hutt himself. Much to Krass's annoyance, but not surprise, Nor'baal hadn't arranged for him to have a seat.

Of Course.

"Ambassador!" Krass said with a well practiced pleasance in the face of annoying circumstances, "It is a pleasure to see you again. I must compliment your taste in decor and transit. Luxury is clearly a natural skill of yours."

Jargling? the Hutt considered as he listened to the wall of sound issuing forth from the on board band, a wall of sound through which Senator Krass apparently reluctantly walked. I am sure his mood will be less sour when he hears what I have to offer, the Hutt mused as the Senator approached him his suit suspiciously clean despite earlier being blessed with the fine dung of a Kowakian. Some would pay untold fortunes for such an honor, and he had gotten it for free! As the Senator came forwards and did the usual greetings and hellos of his people, Nor'baal noted one of his dealers making their usual deposits.

Regardless, he would not allow himself to be distracted by the business being undertaken in other parts of the room, for that was not why he was here, he was here to do business with this Senator. Considering the need for refreshments, the Hutt stopped himself from ordering some in as the yacht jolted, about to embark on its tour of the 'Glorious Jewel' that was the Hutt home-world. With a groan, the vessel took to the tour, ripping away from its moorings and taking off, whilst inside the vessel, a plush cushion was brought out for the Senator to seat himself upon (it was even clean).

As the yacht began its tour, the music and the feasting continued, alongside the general revelry of the venue, and - as may be somewhat of a shock to the Senator - the shutters remained closed, an odd thing indeed, for a tour. However, it was customary - for the true delights of Hutta lay aboard the yacht - and as such the shutters had to remain closed, lest the outside world distract the inhabitants from their revelry. Finally, with the vessel afloat, Nor'baal could now call for refreshments.

Waving his arm, and bellowing instructions for food and drink in Huttese, the garrulous Hutt had a Bantha Steak (which in effect was about half a Bantha) and a fresh Spice Pipe brought out to him, whilst for his guest, Correlian Steak, and a fine Cryptberry Tea (for the Hutt was keen to ensure that his guest ate something more palatable than Hutt gourmet) was lain in front of them. Finally, the Hutt spoke to Senator Krass <You are to kind Senator, now, to business!> he began, before scoffing down on some of the Bantha steak.

Krass smiled gratefully as the food was brought out, and he was offered a glass of fine Cryptberry Tea. He accepted the tea and took a sip of it before turning to Nor'baal.

"Ambassador your generosity knows no end." he raised his glass in a recognition of Nor'baal and then took another sip, "I haven't had Cryptberry Tea prepared this well since my coronation as Senator!"

He placed the glass down on a small serving table next to him and took a bite of the steak, "Your chefs have done their research on the propper Corellian preperation for one of these, again excellent!"

At Nor'baal's comment on business Aren nodded "Yes of course Ambassador, business." Aren wasn't entirely sure why he had been brought on this tour, nor what Nor'baal's business he wanted to discuss was, but he was certain he was about to find out, and knowing the Hutt, it would likely be mutually lucrative.

Slathering slightly, the Hutt placed the frond of the Hookah pipe back in its delicate holder as he focused his heavy gaze upon the man sat before him, who was clearly enjoying the delicacies Nor'baals cook had prepared for him. However, the prospect of food was not the cause for the Hutts salivation, rather it was the concept of business that was more enticing.

<I am pleased to enjoy the beverage Senator. But, to business. As you may well know I have interests and allies in numerous fields, and as such I wish to make a certain deal with you. Your considerable weight in the Senate must be put to good use after all.> he scoffed before continuing <As such, my associates and I are to be allowed to do business on Corellia, unhindered shall we say. In addition, I desire the CEC to manufacture a line of Podracers for my personal use, and of course, these are to me made exclusively for myself.> boomed the Hutt before moving onto his more pressing desire.

<Finally, these pesky Rangers of yours. I will desire an official statement from you, now, defaming them, and denying them authority outside of your Republic.> he added with an air of authority, his extreme demands now made.

Aren smiled, of course the Hutt wanted him to do his bidding in the senate, and of course the Hutt wouldn't expect such a service to be free. No, Aren had matters of his own that he would need the Hutt to assist with as well, and he would make sure it was an even trade.

Krass nodded along with the demands,

"All of these are reasonable requests, Ambassador Nor'baal, and requests I'm sure can be facilitated. I, myself, have a few requests of you in return. You have built yourself an empire of crime which knows no limitations. During my lengthy political career I have found myself with many enemies in the political realm, and elsewhere. Occasionally I find myself in need of these enemies to simply disappear, and other times I find myself needing them to be discredited. Such tasks I would think would be easy feats for someone with your power and sway in the criminal underworld."

He had made his demands cordially, as opposed to Nor'baal's aggression, though he had made it equally clear that if the Hutt wanted his demands to be met, he would have to accommodate Aren's.

Lars Warren, Corellia's most versatile barkeep, was sitting on a chair in the yacht of a very important Hutt. Originally, he came on this planet to pay his... cut to the Hutt known as Nor'baal. However, when he heard that there will be a famous singer he was a fan of since he started out on the yacht, he decided to join in on the ride. And just as he was sitting there, enjoying the band, he saw the Hutt himself walk... uh, crawl in, accompanied by no one other than the Corellian senator. He instantly spat out some of his drink on the floor, gagging a little. They haven't ever met in person, but it could mean problems for Lars.

"Oooh, but this can be also turned around. I bet this person wouldn't like being seen on such a place as this."
he thought to himself and smiled, straightening his back and looking at them mischievously. This could indeed mean more sunny days (and nights, of course) for the Patron's Oasis.

Nor'baal allowed himself a deep, booming laugh as the Senator made demands of him, a Hutt - on Nal Hutta of all places! Fool, he chuckled, for clearly the Senator had no idea who he was dealing with. Nor'baal would not pay this Senator a penny, let alone grant him favors like some form of lowly goods peddler.

Nor would he need to.

<
No my dear Senator Krass, you misunderstand me.> he stated with a sinister tone as he leered a smile <I have only one item to trade with you Senator, and I think you will agree it is the most valuable item you yet possess.> he sneered, shifting in his seat as he did so.

It was a most curoius item, the Cryptberry one which, despite the Senators little aside earlier, Nor'baal doubted he would have tried before - given that it was a lethal poison, one which Senator Krass had just imbibed. With that in mind, the Hutt spoke one final time <
In return for you doing this for me Senator, I will provide to you the antidote, to the lethal toxins you have just imbibed, and you may have your life back.>

Krass gave the Hutt an entirely disgusted look, but remained otherwise calm,

"I see. Of course your demands can be met, Ambassador."

Fucking Hutt. Krass had missed the poison, and as such was made to look like a fool, and weak, in front of the Hutt. Nor'baal would pay for this, eventually. Krass was furious at this, but also in full self preservation mode. He would not be turned into the Hutt's bitch, but he would do whatever it took to keep himself alive, at least so long as the Hutt had control over him.

'Well, the band is putting on quite the show tonight.'
Deenik had lost interest in Senator Krass and had moved on, now listening to some Biths giving a solo performance on their Soosifutes while the slave dancers performed in front of them. While not generally considered tasteful, or even good elsewhere, Deenik had a respect for Hutt culture. Mostly because his very dear friend Nor'baal has graciously allowed him onto his skiff transport during this wonderful party, as well as allowing him to sell and sample the precious Spice Deenik had craved for oh so long. He could hear, though somewhat masked by the band's music, Nor'baal doing "business" with Krass.
"Wknuto, Yuun'tala. Rylan pa getpa ka noota."
He tossed a handful or credits onto their podium before moving over to sit next to a Devaronian couple. He had a good view of what was happening with Krass and Nor'baal from here, and kept his hand on his blaster just in case Krass decided to do something...crass.

A leer once again crossed the vile beings face, as he reached into a compartment behind his hookah, and picked up the antidote contained in a small bottle within it. One of the thugs next to the Hutts recliner laughed, a shrill cackle that was met with a swift backhand strike from Nor'baal, sending the lackey spiraling to the ground, there to be savaged by the resting Krath Hound. He instructed the bruised lackey to get to his feet, and bring the hounds bowl to him. Taking it, he poured the antidote into the bowl, and placed it on the floor.

<Lap up your mercy.> he sneered callously, pointing at the bowl with a stubby arm. Waving for the band to be silent, he boomed across the room for all to hear <Let this serve as a warning Senator, the Hutts take what the desire, when they desire it, and you and your Republic, will not get in their way.> he spat out the words with increasing venom. It would serve as a potent reminder to the Senator of what would happen if he 'forgot' his side of the deal, a powerful message for what would be done to him, or those he cared for, if the Krass Dynasty whelked upon their agreements with the Hutts.

And all in the room had born witness to it.
