Makeb System
Over Makeb/Talaos City
12:34 Planetary Time
@anzat17 @Faded Truth
Ditch sat up in his rack of the 35 Series as they exited hyperspace in the Makeb System as the droids piloting the borrowed ship came over the intercom notifying the passengers in their typical shrill metallic tone only amplified by the crackling in the intercom "Attention to the freeloaders who borrowed us and the ship.. Were approaching the planet you put in the coordinates of, so get ready to get off of our ship."

Didn't realize they programmed these things with a personality matrix these days Ditch thought, kicking his feet over the side of the rack and dropping the short distance to the floor. The ship has 2 double-occupant passenger cabins, 2 crew cabins, a small common area with an observation lounge, attached galley and a refresher, so luckily on this trip everyone got their own quarters. Minus Lt. Stahl that tool decided he was important enough to redirect an imperial vessel.

Quickly digging around in his pack laying alongside his other equipment methodically prepped on the lower bunk he retrieved his datapad, flipping on some music as he began to gear up. Putting on his body armor topped with his medium weight all weather poncho that came to just above the knees when worn over his armor; he had all of his normal accouterments in addition. Picking up his rifle and slinging it whilst sheathing his vibrosword and WESTAR-28's before securing his pack, ready he thought.

Heading for the door and into the common area he looked out the observation window to the nearing planet below, leaving his cabin door open so that the music could fill the area he called out "When you're ready meet me in the common area so Lt. Stahl can bring us up to speed on his intel." with that Ditch walked into the refresher and made a cup of caf before returing to the common area to await the master sith and the other officer.

He sat at the bar in one of the few upscale establishments on the cartel infiltrated world, dressed casually in an array of expensive civilian wear. Weapons were well concealed as to not attract too much attention. Cigarette lit in one hand while fingers fiddled with the vodka glass in his other hand. He was deep in his thoughts, analyzing how the past few weeks since becoming an officer had went and what he would continue to do to climb through the ranks. The other lieutenant he met on Makeb came to his mind, thinking that perhaps he should pursue some of the other shipments Officer Tobias' death had offered him. A signal flashed on his com-link as he glanced down at it, uploading the coordinates into his datapad. With a slight smirk, he excused himself from the bar and proceeded towards his quarters.

Once inside, he flipped through the datapad and utilized a portable holocom to initiate a conference call, signal broadcasted onto the ship Ditch was on...waiting to be answered.

Vincent sat in the somewhat upscale bar drinking a whiskey through the clever straw apparatus in his helmet. He wasn't here on Sith business, mostly just screwing around and having a drink while he waited to find a new mission to go on. He liked the Empire's missions, it was like his old bounty hunting days but with way higher stakes.

He kept his hood up over his helmet and was hiding himself with the force, only those who he wanted to be noticed by would notice him. A trick he very much enjoyed. It was one of the many things that he discovered he could do now that he was a force user that he wished he could have had access to before he discovered his powers.

He watched as a self important seeming man in expensive clothing drank and smoked for a while before checking a blinking comlink. The man took off pretty quickly after a self satisfied smirk, and -keeping his field of concealment up- he followed at a distance. This guy did not seem to be a force user so between the nondescript black hooded coat and his force bubble Vincent was dead sure he would not be noticed at all as he indulged his curiosity.

My-Rah squinted slightly as the sun glinted off the transparasteel wind shields of her bridge. Reaching over to a console to her right, she dimmed the viewers slightly to counteract the glare of the sun. The Shagri-la roared through the atmosphere of Makeb, leaving tails of disturbed cloud behind her four sublight engines. She was back once more. Time to collect on the riches of this most recent gold rush that had the galaxy (and the Hutts especially) buzzing. Vast quantities of Isotope-5 and Coaxium found on a world not affiliated with either the Republic nor the Empire, nor even the Hutts? It was like her birthday and name-day celebrations rolled into one big payday every time she came over here.

Punching in a few coordinates on her nav computer, My-Rah banked to the right, heading east. If the intel she had stolen from the crooked customs officer, Tobias, before his untimely demise was anything to go on, then there should be a couple of stashes of the good stuff in Talaos City. And since Gunner had been kind enough to kill off Tobias and his cronies, it should be unguarded. The thought of all that cheddar sitting in some dank, dark warehouses going bad was sending chills up My-Rah's spine. She would do the right thing, what was best for everyone, and liberate them from their solitude. Leaning forward on the accelerator stick, My-Rah increased her flight speed, sending the Shangri-la roaring over the mountains and valleys below.

Ditch sat down on the pleather seat of the semi circular bench that wrapped around the common area couch, taking a sip of the caf as the light on the holoprojector began to blip. "Ah Lt. Stahl" he said after pressing the accept call button and getting comfortable in his seat.

The ship was making its landing in the port at Talaos City when he accepted the call
"You can either brief me now or I can meet you, I've just landed and shouldn't be far." @Faded Truth

LUXURY TOWER CONDOMINIUM

Gunner had left from the cantina when the signal had dispatched onto his communication device, believing that it would be best to have the conference call within the security of the apartment he had rented. The imperial officer was well adept at keeping an eye on his surroundings, however he did not quite notice the presence of Vincent Cross stalking him from a distance. He was approximately 75 meters away from the Sith Master when he entered into the apartment, thus not showing any visible signs of concern. Once inside, he closed the door fully and engaged the locking clasp.

Setting the device onto the table counter, he broadcasted the signal which showed a miniature holocom in the kitchen. "Lieutenant Ordo, let's brief in person, I'll meet you at our previous rendezvous point. Our detail is only the two of us on this mission, that is how superiors have chosen it. Gear up well, it's going to be a long week."

He stated with a sly smirk on his face. Turning the device off, he moved to the living room where he zipped open a large duffel bag that was laying on the ground. Containing all of his armaments, he quickly changed out of the civilian clothing and replaced it with his Imperial battle armor. Carbine blasters were loaded and slung at the hips while he engaged and readied the Disruptor pulse rifle, slinging it over his back.

Next to the bag, settled on the coffee tables were two large metal briefcases. Opening them both, they revealed to include several electronic components. Entering a series of codes he waited until large red LED began flashing in each briefcases. Setting one in the living room while the other was nestled near the door. He then shifted his attention to a keypad on the side of the door frame, entering a pin number and waiting until the screen flashed "ARMED"

Slinging the duffel bag over his shoulder, he exited through the balcony and engaged the grapple line onto a post several floors below him. Tying it against the metal sockets off his breastplate, he zip-lined down to the lower balcony before leaping several meters to the busy street underneath. Well-scheduled speeder arrived within moments as he leaped into the back seat, a simple and wordless nod given to the driver as they sped towards the Hutta Spaceport. As their vehicle navigated through the bustling streets, he looked down at a device in his hand, keeping a close eye on a light that continued to flash with an unholy green brightness.

Vincent got bored of his little stalking game. The ritch looking man had ducked into a room and the bolt could be heard locking, so the Sith knight decided to simply leave the way he had come, head to a less pompous bar and get hammered. Leaving the self important fool he had been stalking for fun to his business, business that -for his own amusement- Vincent decided likely involved paying ladies to pretend to like him.

Chuckling to himself as he walked down the halls Vincent kept his cloaking field up and left the building.

My-Rah swung the bow of her ship over the landing platform above Talaos city. Dropping the landing struts, My-Rah rose from her pilot's seat as the ship's auto-landing program brought her down for a soft touchdown. My-Rah walked back to the common area behind the bridge. Picking up her gun belt, she swung it around her waist and strapped it across her front, he twin blasters with the twi'lek dancer engraved on the handles hung on either of her thighs. Walking over to the drop-down elevator, My-Rah swung herself over the railing and hit the button. The platform began lowering to the landing dock below. As the platform touched down, she stepped off, walking briskly across the dock, brushing her hair out of her face as the elevator rose back into the neck of the ship.

As My-Rah neared the edge of the dock, a man stepped out of a booth by the exit ramp. "That's quite a ship you've got there. If I had known it was going to be so big, I would have charged you more. I can usually fit two smaller ships on this platform. Yours takes up the whole space!" My-Rah scoffed at the man as she dropped a handful of credits into his hands. "Yeah, well I expect you to honor the price you quoted me on the radio. And make sure nothing happens to my ship or there's gonna be trouble when I get back, ya hear?" The man glanced down at My-Rah's blasters and seemed to think twice about some comment he was about to make. "I'll be coming back with cargo as well, so make sure you keep the ramp clear."

With that done, My-Rah headed out into the city. Tapping her wrist-mounted data pad, she opened a copy of a map she had made from the data from Tobias, the dead custom's officer and/or crooked embezzler. There should be a warehouse in the nearby area loaded with refined coaxium just ripe for the taking. She would start there, and hit all of Tobias' hidden treasures before the Hutts dropped their bounty on the goods. Striding out into the crowded street, she cut through the crowds and headed towards the first and nearest warehouse.

Great he thought, his partner flaking on him yet again and the plan going anything but swimmingly was not far from what he expected when he decided to chase this fallacy of bounty that had come and gone before his eyes as it seemed.

Propping his rifle against the table Ditch set down his caf cup and cracked his neck before letting out a sigh and tossing his helmet on. The faint sss escaped as it sealed while he retrieved his rifle and made for the exit ramp of the ship, its slow descent allowed him to calibrate his helmets sensors as he stepped off of the lowered platform only to hear the engines spool up. "Hey what're you two doing? The ship is to stay here until i'm ready to go.." But before he could start screaming into his comm at the droid pilots the ship was lifting off and leaving the space port.

Letting out a generally defeated tone in his sigh Ditch had determined this situation literally couldn't get any worse than it was. So making the best out of what was left of the situation was his only choice. Pulling the map up on his datapad he knew the warehouse in question was not far and from the limited information he had it should be as easy as show up and take it. But that only further complicated things as now he needed to find a new way off of Makeb.

Starting down the path to the warehouse Ditch found himself amongst a rather large crowd in the streets near the market, so far no ones faces looked familiar or like any serious trouble but he kept his wits about him as he pushed through. @Yuan

My-Rah glared at the warehouse door. Of course it was sealed and locked. Why wouldn't it be? She should have seen this coming. She was smart enough to have guessed this. But, she didn't think to prepare for it. If she had planned ahead, she would have brought Y1-B7, her astromech droid to slice the door open. Or at the very least she could have brought SK-50, her security droid. He wasn't much of a slicer, but he probably could have gotten the job done. Now, here she was with no droid or any other way to hack into the door's controls.

My-Rah glanced back and forth down the alley. There wasn't really anyone around. The crowded street was two turns away down the alley. She shouldn't draw too much attention if she got a little creative with this. Drawing her blaster pistol, she leveled it at the door controls. Turning her face away from the door, she pulled the trigger. With a squeeze of the trigger, the blaster went off and the door control sparked and blew up. The door popped open, releasing a small blast of somewhat stale air from within. Turning back to look at the door, My-Rah smiled. She wasn't going to leave here empty handed.

Holstering the blaster, My-Rah grabbed hold of the door and wrenched it open a bit more. Squeezing through, she stumbled into the warehouse. Coughing at the dust, she glanced around. She could make out the shadowy forms of crates lining the floor. Tapping the pad on her wrist-mounted data pad, a small light flickered to life on her wrist. She pointed it at the nearest crate. The crate was unmarked. That was good. It shouldn't draw too much attention when she moved it. Scanning the light over the crate, she found the latch that sealed the lid to the body. With a quick pry, the latch opened and the crate creaked open. From within came a dim blue glow. She knew what it must be before she even looked. Sure enough, coaxium, refined and ready for transport off-world. This was what she had been hoping for. There was enough here that she would have to make two trips in her ship, given it's relatively small cargo hold. But it was worth it to get her hands on this. If all the hidden warehouses on the list she had were loaded like this, then she would be able to achieve a number of her goals.

With a considerable ammount of confusion Ditch followed the half baked intel through the streets and towards an alleyway that would lead to the supposed warehouse location. Taking a right into the alley way, it twisted and turned like and 'S' by the maps indication and was devoid of anything living aside from a rat or two in the garbage cans.

As Ditch approached the warehouse he noticed an extremely obvious issue; the door was open and the access panel had been blasted. An amateur or someone working quickly? There wasnt much more to go on as he upholstered his rifle and stepped into the doorway flipping on his helmets spot lamp and his rifles flashlight, illuminating the back of another being who had been searching around by the looks of it and had a case open on the ground.

"Give me one reason not to fry you where you stand." Ditch said with a calm almost disinterested tone in his voice. Quickly deducing that either the intel was not secure or this was another loose end from his last visit to Makeb he planted his feet with his finger hovering over the trigger if the person moved for a weapon or turned around. @Yuan

As My-Rah searched through the contents of the crate she had opened, becoming happier and happier each second she did, the sound of a boot behind her suddenly informed her that she was not alone. The man's voice behind her confirmed that this was not a friendly encounter, and he had the jump on her. Careless. She should have blocked the door with something. Set up some sort of early warning system. She knew better than to get herself into a situation like this. It was infuriating.

Slowly, My-Rah raised her hands up above her head, palms in the air. "Easy now big guy. No need for things to get messy here. I'm not looking for trouble. I'm just here looking for a payday, same as you are I'm sure. There's enough goods here to go around, several times over. But, if your not in a sharing mood, maybe we can work out some sort of deal. I'm sure there's something I can help you with to turn this situation from cold and scary to hunky-dory?"

My-Rah didn't know who it was behind her, who he represented, where he came from... Nothing. If he was one of Tobias's henchmen, here to collect his dead boss's treasures, then he probably already had access to Tobias's old sales and embezzling network. Probably didn't need her help to fence these goods. If not, and he was some random guy from somewhere else, then maybe he could use a hand. At least she could load his ship while he kept his blaster pointed at her. Anything to keep her life and keep the Coaxium in sight.
