Also, pretty much making war against the republic is considered a crime. It only has a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle bit to do with the sending soldiers and not police officers to deal with the problem.

He tortured at least one of Jiang's characters, which I imagine implies that he enjoyed torturing most of the prisoners he took personal interest in.

Okay, I guess that works. Though I'm not sure what sort of evidence we'd get unless it were just a kangaroo court unless the victim can summon some sort of evidence.

Well, he was in the employ of ones making war on the Republic. He wasn't the one to choose the war, just got dragged into it rather forcefully.

He still willingly participated in war actions. Ergo, he is accountable.

You can't blame the soldiers for their commander's decisions.

Although Poknor was pretty high up, and since he was MAKING the decisions...

It was the Chancellor's own daughter at that, so Pok'd pretty much get completely railroaded at his trial. [Not that her torture at his hands is public knowledge, mind you; it'd be known to the Chancellor's inner circle of pals and to whatever Judge was trying Pok, but few, if any, other people]

Also, per Ru/Will/Santoro. The fact that he's a high-level officer who plays -well, played- some part in making the decisions makes him accountable for the overwhelming damages to Republic lives and property.

Are we actually RPing the trial and execution? Seems like it might be interesting to do so.

As much as I'd like to, with Viggy gone AWOL from SWRP, it just wouldn't seem right to hold a trial while Poknor's RP'er is absent. I mean, one of us could always play him, but we really wouldn't do the character justice. I think it'd almost be better just to assume he was tried, convicted, and executed - that said, the next time I catch Vigs on, I'll ask him what he'd like. If he'd rather have someone pick up Poknor for him for the duration of the trial, we'll go that route.

I could roleplay Poknor in the trial, that's not much trouble. :)
