Obviously, there are a lot of us here who read the comics and novels, and play the games and partake in every other imaginable form of media that Star Wars has infected, but I have talk to a few other people and I've noticed something (at least amongst the people I asked.)
Does it feel harder or maybe less rewarding to go back and read Books and Comics set in the legends lore? Sure, they're still enjoyable but it feels to me at least, that it doesn't have the same rewarding feeling as reading a new novel that's come out in the past year. Humble Book Bundle released a SW-theme comic bundle a few months ago, and I had read a few of them, but some I just never bothered to invest time in. I also have about 9 books that I once planned to read which are just sitting idly on my bookshelf. Sure, I'll read them eventually maybe, but I'm just not as invested in it as I once was.
Does anyone else on here get these types of feelings when going back to the Legends content? Maybe it's the idea of getting invested into the new lore, and getting excited about all new possibilities which limits my interest in read the old ones, since we all have a general idea of how things have gone down in old EU.
And here is a second question, that may be a little more conversation worthy; Should Disney, Marvel, and EA continue to release Legends content? Sure, the only case of it right now is the SWTOR expansion, which would be unexplainable in new canon, and TPB comics, and hard cover novels. Do you think that maybe in a few years, they will go back to working on Legends content, or is it going to be a firm dead?
