William has a plan to raid a pirate compound on the planet Nal Hutta for Thermal Detonators. Through a fellow contact, William is put into contact with Burkhart Kelborn, who also is on the lookout for acquiring the specific grenades. They meet at a Mandalorian outpost to plan their raid. William and Burkhart will sneak into the local pirate gang's compound to acquire Thermal Detonators.

Will had for quite some time now notices a lot of traffic from what supposedly was an abandon outpost compound. Will decided to investigate and over the course of many weeks scouting, he not only found out who occupied the place, but also what was in the place. It turned out a pirate gang saw the opportunity to use the compound as their base without any thoughts to the consequences. It was, after all, an old abandon military compound. Who would think to look at it being used by pirates, right?

Well, apparently a bored but stubborn Mandalorian with red hair that you would think he was kissed by fire. It didn't take long for him the find out that the pirates smuggled big-time illegal weaponry and all manners of explosives. Now, Will had two options, he could either go back and tell the local Mandalorian outpost and then they would send a team and clear out the compound. Of course, that would get Will nothing and he really wanted some explosive grenades. The other option was to find one or two other Mandalorian who would be down for some good ol' sneaky-beaky into the compound and take some loot for themselves.

The latter sounded much more appealing to Will, upon returning to the closest city that was closest to the compound, which still was a good 2 days ride out. He quickly got in contact with an old friend and contact to see if he could find one or two people who would want to get in on some loot. Will told his friend that if he found Mandalorians who would be interested, would find Will at the "Waterhole Of A Bar"

The Morling's heavy foot falls were a bit muted as he entered the drinking establishment. He was a far from small and had the swagger to match so when he pushed past two exiting trandoshans they just gave him a reptilian growl which he dismissed as the equivalent of a rude gesture. Instead of paying them any mind the Alor of clan Kelborn looked into the darkly lit bar and saw the man who he was meeting with.

Coming along side him he sat down with a slight grunt. The bar stool underneath his frame creaked slightly at his mass. He felt like he was getting old but maybe it was marsh like environment of Nal Hutta. The place looked like it was a snot covered armpit in his opinion.

"Wot's this bout a pirate camp ay?" He spoke in his thick accent with an appropriately associated deep rumbling voice. When the bartender came around he motioned to get a pint of ale but otherwise waited patiently for the fiery haired Solus to give him any important information. Burkhart placed his helmet on the surface before him, letting the pointy eared item stare away from him so he could drink once his beverage got to him.

The bar was a dump if you wanted to be honest and only locals tend to come here. But, one thing it did deliver, was privacy and was one of the reasons they met at the bar. Not that Will really cared if anyone heard them talking, but it was the easiest place without anyone asking questions. As Burk sat by the table, was Will in the middle of chucking down his fifth large pint of mead. he was not a polite drinker as some slipped by his mouth and ran into his red fiery beard. He slammed the large mug down in the table, making some of the empty ones fell over. "Ahhh, that hits the spot," said the redhaired man with a big cheerful smile, followed by a deep impressive burp. The crazy part was, he didn't even seem tipsy.

"Bartender, another!" yelled Will as he turned his attention to Burkhart. "Alrighty, here's the deal, some shabby pirates has been mighty busy with smuggling cargo in and out of Imperial space and Mando'ad space. So I'm thinking, why do these farklers get to have all the fun toys" explained Will with a heartful laugh to his fellow Mando compatriot. He was about to continue, when both their drinks arrived. "Ahh, just on time" smiled Will, taking his large mug of mead and took a big swig of the content of the mug. Placing the mug back down again, now half empty, "the compound is heavily guarded. I saw at least 20 guys going in and out of the place. Turret towers and armed patrols and a fark ton of military loots. Everything from thermal detonators, high-powered rifles, I even saw armoured vehicles being shipped off" continued the redhead Mandalorian to explain to Burkhart.

Moving the large mug to his mouth, Will chugged the last of his drink down his throat and slamming it down on the table. "So, you're interested?" Asked Will leaning a bit over the table with a raised eyebrow.

The enthusiasm of William was what one expected of a mandalorian. Burkhart smiled still at how much it suited the man. He had a fire in his heart that was as bright as the hair on his head.

Smuggling was Burkhart's business. He was not doing it because he wanted to out these pirates but it certainly allowed him to take an extra amount of pleasure in knowing he was getting rid of some competition in the process. What the man described was what sounded like a small army. If what William said was true how had nobody heard of this until now. Burkhart would make a point to look into it afterwards.

Taking his drink he sniffed it for a moment before taking a sip. It was about what he expected. Taking a larger gulp he eventually set the drink down with a heavy thunk. "These lads soond lahk thar packin soom heat. Ya sure we'll be able ta get in without a problem or are ya tryin ta wage war on these chakaar?" This was William's idea. The Solus had better have a plan unless the main reason he had asked Burkhart to come along was not just because he had big muscles but because he had a a halfway decent head too.

The fiery-haired Mandalorian smiled maddingly, "aye, just the way it should" agreed Will, leaning in over the table, like it was some kind of secret no one should hear. "We could always just raid the local militia on some random natural planet, but where's the fun in that? No, my friend, the real fun is taking on an army!" Said the red-haired man. "Wouldn't call for ya if I wasn't sure we could get in, now listen closely. We'll sneak in doing the early dawn, that is when our chance happens. Every day around early dawn is a switch in patrol and if we time it with their sentry spotlights, we will have a clear way to get into the compound. Now you see, these buggers might have firepower, but they aren't clever enough to have their backdoor fixed, by installing a new door. Since the compound is old, the backdoor doesn't have a door and they have stationed two guards by it to guard the opening." began Will to explain.

"It's two days travel time by speeder from here, but, if we go now, we should be able to match dawn. Besides, if anything goes wrong, we'll just blow the whole place up" laughed Will with a deep and heartily laugh and rose from his seat. "So let's stop wasting time in this miserable shabby place and get to it" smiled the red-haired Mandalorian, slapping his hands together and went for the exit. Will was looking very much forward to his raid, all those enemies, it got him pumped for fighting. Many would call him mad for finding such a crazy plan exhilarating. He stopped outside the bar, waiting for Burkhart to join him.

Burkhart listened and with a slightly impressed expression sipped his beer. William had observed more than the Morling had expected. A few of his questions had been answered before he even had asked them. It was nice to see someone who had thought ahead and knew what kind of intelligence and planning was needed. Though it still had the typical Solus flair for explosiveness.

It seemed that the badger was very enthusiastic to the point he got up and headed for the door. The Alor was older, wiser and not in any rush. So he took his mediocre beverage and did not let it go to waste. Consuming it in one long gulp he wiped the canine jowles and got up. Pushing his chair in like a gentelman, a trend carried over from polite business he took one final look around and then headed out the door to join William.

Will lead the other Mandalorian through the minor town, to where vehicles would be parked. It was a sort of buggy looking vehicle, with an open carrier. On the open carrier, was a mounted blaster cannon and although it wasn't the most powerful mounted blaster cannon, it could still kick some arse and take out medium armoured vehicles. "It might be one ugly car to look at" expressed Will as he entered the driver seat, starting the vehicle up, "but it handles all kinds of terrain like a beast" and nodded at the big off-road wheels.

It was true, he had even test driven the car, before waiting at the bar for Burkhart, just to make sure the owner wasn't bullshitting him. The open carrier had enough room for one person and a medium sized crate, which was what they wanted when making for their escape.

Driving through the terrain, passing through forests, open bogs and very muddy water, the buggy just ploughed through like a champ. As they made their way towards their destination, Will explained the route for Burkhart, in case he would have to take the wheels. Not much happened on their drive until they passed some hills and would be able to see ship appear in the distance. "Alrighty, any questions, before he gets there?" Asked Will, as he didn't want Burkhart to start asking them under heated firefight.

Following his badger associated friend Burkhart was led to the vehicle that would take them to their destination. As he walked he had his helmet under one arm and puffed away at a cigara. When they made their way eventually to the four wheeler he squinted in disappointment at how run down the thing looked. While it had clearly seen some rough days the Morling hoped it would be able to weather a few more and not break down halfway back with the added weight of some loot.

Reluctantly he got inside the vehicle. Its shock absorbers adjusted for the weight of the large mandalorian and all of his gear, creaking slightly before compensating. He continued to smoke, now glad to have lit it before hand so that he could feel better about the whole thing. The Field Marshal had dropped from orbit on the back of a basilisk and felt better about missions than he was right now but still he was going forward with this.

"As long as you av a plan I'm goood." he said in response. Burkhart questioned whether William had thought this whole thing through from all angles. But considering they were fast approaching whatever drop off point they were going to be stopping at it would not really matter for him to only increase the roots of doubt or second guess.

The first day's ride was rather boring, not much happened. No shooting, no nothing, just the roaming terrain of Nal Hutta. The buggy bumped and shook as they drove, tree faded by them in an instant, as they made their way towards the destination. The sun was high in the sky, but the light was held back by Nal Hutta's thick clouds, not to mention the thick fog just inches above the ground, making it very eerie.

Around 3 am local times, stopped Will the buggy to a halt by a small clearing and a little pond. Though, he doubted the water was drinkable. "Alrighty, we're stopping here for the night, will be pointless to go further in the night and tire our self out. Besides, I need ta take a piss," told he red-haired and jumped out of the Buggy. He went to a tree behind the Buggy, removed part of the armour, keeping him from pissing and started to "mark his territory" - so to speak.

"Ahh, nothing like a good piss, wouldn't you agree Burk?" exclaimed with a content smile on his face. As he finished pissing, he placed his armour pieces back on and lifted himself up in the back, where the turret was mounted. "So, ya hungry, big man?" Asked Will as he started to look through the bag in the back for some edible food.

Swamps, that was what Burkhart just looked at as they made their way towards this so-called base. He wondered if he should play some music while they drove but then thought better of it. If this was going to be an area close to their future enemies the Mandalorian would prefer to not announce their presence with loud music.

Looking around after they stoppped he wondered what made the area special. They were going to be camping here for the night it seemed which was fine. Roughing it was not something new to the Morling. He could sleep just about anywhere but it was still a swamp. Waving a paw through the air he fended off a curious bug or two that got too close.

Taking out a cigara from a tin he put it between his lips and ignited it. Through closed lips he responded to William's questioning. "Ya..." As William then proceeded to look for food Burkhart would move to get a covert fire going. There was not a lot of dry stuff but it was better than nothing. The Field Marshal knew how to keep a fire going low, and with minimal smoke but he also doubted they would need it for the night. It was a warm and humid place and they would be gone by tomorrow.

Will started to pull out a few small boxes from the bag before sitting down. There wasn't much variation on the food, a lot of dried meat, some fruit and of course two big pouches filled with water. "Catch," said Will nonchalant and lobbed a box filled with dry meat and fruit to Burk. Oh right, there was also some mead packed between the rest of their supplies, "oh, how could I forget about you, come to Will" crackled the fiery red-haired man with a low laugh, pop off the plug and took a big chug, so some of its content started to run down his wild beard.

Wiping off most of the mead from his beard with the backside of his hand, he turned to look at Burkhart, "want some? It's filled with all your Mando'a goodness of Tihaar in the mead. You do look like one who can handle your liqueur" offered Will with an outstretched arm and an inviting smirk.

If Burkhart took the pouch filled with the concoction of mead and a lot of tihaar, Will would give it and start to eat the food and take the pouch back when given back. If not, then Will would just shrug and return back to drinking like no tomorrow, mixed with eating the food between them both.

If it had been a party, would Will have just continued to drink, but with only a medium-sized pouch with alcohol in, it was only a matter of time, before it was emptied. Especially if it was shared between both of them.

Will woke around early dawn and would eat some of the remaining dried meat as he jumped off the back of the Buggy. He was surprisingly fresh for someone who drank mead fill with high among of tihaar. If Burkhart was still asleep, would Will kick his boot, enough to wake him up. "Time to go, big man" said Will and sat in the driving seat, waiting for Burk to get in the other seat. With Burkhart in, would Will step on the speeder and they would be off again. If Burkhart was already awake, Will would just get in and drive onwards towards their destination.

Burkhart's cohort ended up rumagging around for some food. Burkhart would have probably been fine without eating anything for the night but it was a welcome luxury that they could afford on such short notice. The Morling's mind had slid into a state that was more the war fighter and less the wilderness explorer. They were in enemy territory despite it being Mandalorian controlled space.

Raising a clawed hand the Alor grabbed the thrown object. Waiting a moment he pulled the wrapping apart and began munching on the contents. It would certainly take the edge off. His mind could focus less on his hunger and more on the objective before the two of them.

When offered some alcohol Burkhart waited a moment and debated it. "Sure, but only a little." He would sometimes drink before a battle. However he never had more than an ale and a shot to match. Two drinks was his maximum on principle. He could probably consume more, actually he had consumed more, and still fought some intimating odds. But those he had always been at a disadvantage compared to normal. If Burkhart wanted as many odds in his favor then that meant waiting to drink in celebration, rather than in anticipation.

Eventually Will woke. Burkhart was awake at that time though he was laying down. His eyes staring at the embers of the fire they had. The sky was going from black to that early morning blue on the horizon. The sun would rise quickly enough. His large frame rose just as William called out to him. "I thought we were walking the rest of the way..." They did not want to approach the base on the buggy.

"We are, but we got to hide the buggy a better place and this dump" explained Will and waited for the Morling to get inside the vehicle, so they could park just a tad better place, than the one they were at now, as the buggy stood in the opening. No more than half an hour drive from where they slept, had Will stopped the buggy, surrounded by a lot of trees and natural cover.

"Now we can walk," said the redhaired Mandalorian and got out of the Buggy. Will had his helmet strapped to his belt as he led the Field Marshal further and further away from their car and closer towards their target. They were completely surrounded by a forest a good crunch of the walk, still, they got to the outskirts of the forest line.

Will kneeled down, feeling the cool air as the sun was close on its way up. Looking the big compound over, it looked more like a military base, than an actual abandon bunker. But, Will had been correct, the night patrol was just about to head back, leaving the opening completely clear for the but Mando'as. Will placed his helmet back on, "Alright, wait for it... now." timed he and led both warriors down the open field, towards the side of the compound. "Down!" commed Will and dropped, expecting Burkhart to drop down before the sentry's spotlight hit him.

As the spotlight moved passed them, Will got up and ran in a lower pace, leading them both to the compound's wall and out of the tower's spotlight. But now they had to get past the two men stationed by the back entrance. Looking around the corner, he saw a couple of crates, both large and small, a minor halftrack for carrying cargo and then the two guards by the doorframe into the compound.

Turning back to his fellow Mando'a, "a couple of crates for possible cover, a halftrack and the two guards, how do you want to do this?" Asked Will in a lowered voice, so he wouldn't attach attention.

Taking a moment to make sure they were not leaving any markings behind, Burkhart eventually got back into the Buggy. The vehicle's suspension creaked with his weight as he got into it. The two would also make their way after exiting the vehicle towards the base they would be raiding.

From a distance he would observe the place through some macrobinoculars. He wanted to take the time to look at everything, get a sense of the movements on the inside and around the perimeter. When it was time to move he did so along with William.

Looking over the Badger he doubted he had any quick methods of dispatching these two that did not include alerting the whole base. Giving a slight huff he held up a hand to tell William to stay back while he dealt with these two. He pulled one lightsaber handle and a second one in his right grip. Both had been taken from defeated sith and now were trophies and tools at his disposal. Rolling his shoulders he hyped himself up for a moment and then he charged the two sentries as quickly as he could. Activating the lightsabers mid swing he sliced cleanly into both of them. The cleaved bodies fell to the ground and Burkhart quickly deactivated the weapons so they would not attract attention.

With the two sentries dispatched and no alarm raised the two mandalorians were clear to enter. Burkhart moved the bodies out of the obvious line of sight from other paroling guards. With all of that done, the two mandalorians were inside the base. Burkhart returned the weapons to their place on his belt.
