It had been a while since Narr Noft had worn his holster and held the bowcaster in his hands. In some ways it even felt unnatural - holding a blaster again instead of a needle. The three years holed up in a Spice Den on Nar Shaddaa had aged him considerably to a point where he wasn't sure if he could even aim straight. It had been his most remarkable skill since he could remember, but like most of his memories, the glitterryll hadn't been good for his ability to focus. Even now spice was all he could really think about. That and getting the credits he needed to buy them...

The Bounty Hunter's Guild had tracked him down fast. He hadn't been out of that spice den and walking around with his bowcaster for a week when their representative approached him. Figures they'd have the best hounds to sniff out someone capable with a blaster. Not sure if they were aware of his habit, though.

Tatooine was popular world to hunt for prey as it was a popular spot for criminals to hide on. Why that was the case was quite the mystery to the thirty year old Shistavanen, but maybe they just searched the polar opposites of the city-worlds they were from and a sparsely populated world policed by a failing militia and filled with sandstorms you can't even track a herd of bantha's through did seem to fit that bill.

The guild had asked someone from the Galactic Alliance, one of the many anti-Imperial rebel cells in the galaxy, to end a member who had racked up a body count of collateral damage that was too big to ignore. Apparently they needed someone from outside their own ranks, but the rebel operative was too busy with something -probably trying to sway a senator from the protectorate to the cause- to track someone through the dive bars and deserts of Tatooine. In came two credit chips and two hired goons, Narr Noft and Magnus Hammerhand (@Nor'baal).

"I rrreckon they didn't want him to overstay his welcome-" Narr took another drag from his cigarra and shook his head as he looked down at the dead young human laying in front of him. She was young, somewhere in her late teens, and scattered across the modest farm house was her entire family, all killed by blaster fire. "-let's see if we can find out where he went." There had to be a clue somewhere, he guessed, as one thing his decade as a Sector Ranger told him there always way. A HoloNet show that advertised gambling often made a culprit visit a nearby gambling establishment, or a beautiful actress enticed them to a nearby... well, somewhere he could get his blaster off.

They were hunting a middle-aged human male named Calo South. Notorious quickdraw artist and never known for using the stun setting, but he definitely crossed a line on Tatooine. Scratch that, several lines. He had been hunting an ordinary business man from Ryloth who was out here on a hunting trip after scamming a business partner out of all of his wealth. Should've been an easy job, but Calo had already managed to kill at least five innocents in a cantina shoot-out, then stole a speeder, ran down an elderly citizen of Anchorhead and now murdered an entire family for reasons unknown.

Magnus had not been to Tatooine for years, and - it had not warmed on him in the time since his last visit for sure.

Sticking out like a sore thumb in his armour, Magnus stood just a little to close to Narr, towering over the cat-like creature as Magnus thumbed through his datapad, re-reading the brief. Looked like a simple enough job, the usual 'smash and shoot' that people like him and Narr got hired for regularly.

"Well. This place is a dive, a dump, and a shithole. So let's get this done, get paid and go home."
