[Oturo Ishukone]

Everything in the room was shiny, almost has though the entire cleaning staff of the building spent about 99% of their time endlessly polishing this one room. Oturo however, did not describe this room as 'shiny', no he rather referred to it as 'clean'. Watching a wide variety of screens in front of him, all displaying information on the various operations that the Company undertook across the Galaxy.

Tatooine was one of their more recent endeavors, the tiny planet apparently boasting a range of mineral resources the company was dying the exploit. Checking the time, the Analysts sighed, deactivating his screens, watching as the Holo's blinked off one by one before him. Suppressing a button on his table, which was soon met with the door at the front of his office opening, a secretary walking in holding a file.

Oturo took the file, which contained the expenses report of the Senator he was meeting with soon. Blimey, he thought, this guy clearly had a good time. Putting the report away, he looked out of the window - a Czerka shuttle, one of their best, was coming past, inside it would be the Senator.

Looked like it was time to do business.

[Aren Krass]

Aren Krass sat in a plush seat within one of Czerka's private shuttles. He was sure the company owned a host of different shuttles, many far less nice than this one. However, the megacorp was trying to swoon him, with the 7 star hotels, and the nice shuttle rides, and the all expenses paid. As far as lobbying went, Czerka was doing a good job.

The shuttle landed in a private landing pad within the Czerka building. He was escorted by Czerka employees through the building until he reached Oturo's office, and was ushered inside.

Krass looked around and let out a low whistle, "You have one of the nicest views I've seen anywhere on Coruscant, Mr. Ishukone, you're doing quite well for yourself."

Shaking the mans hand as he walked into the room, Oturo called for the PA again, suppressing a button on his desk as he walked past it to join the Senator on the balcony. ''My thanks Senator, and I trust you enjoyed your stay here?'' he inquired, as the PA entered once more. She was an attractive young woman, hired more for her looks than her brains - something some in the office frowned upon.

Bria Coraz, was her name, and she had been instructed to attend Mr Krass' Hotel last night, to 'check as to his additional requirements for the evening'. Oturo was unsure of what had taken place since then, but no doubt the looks they gave one another would provide him his answer. She walked over, heels clacking on the floor as she did so.

''Drinks Sir?'' she asked, a tray in her hands. The man did not smile, instead asking Aren ''Anything for you Senator?''

Aren gave the man a sly smile, "I certainly did. Czerka was far too generous in their accommodations. The hotel was superb and the flight was short and comfortable."

He turned as the PA entered the room. Tall, with long slender legs and blonde hair that stretched well down her back, it was not his first time seeing her. He let the slightest sly smile creep onto his face.

He sat himself in a comfortable chair across from Oturo's desk and nodded, "Certainly."

''Generosity is something my employer prides himself on Senator.'' the man replied, removing his glasses in a clipped motion, and placing them on the table in front of him. It appeared that the Senator had enjoyed his evening, and Oturo would see to it that the PA was quickly moved to another department so as to provide similar services to another concerned party.

I'll need a new Secretary, one with similar....attributes, he considered before addressing the concerns of his guest. The Drinks had already arrived, placed on the table quickly before the young woman once again departed. ''My thanks to you for coming this far, but I shall not delay any further.'' he said, moving onto the topic at hand now that the pleasantries had been taken care of.

''When last we spoke, it was of the MagLev facilities found on planets such as this one. As you may be aware, Czerka is interested in constructing such facilities on Correllia, and I would like to know your thoughts on this?'' he finished.

Aren gave the man a warm smile as he spoke. Like his exterior demeanor and office suggested, Oturo was a man that got down to business and didn't trifle with fluff. As soon as they were seated he was directly on to the matter of which Krass had come to Coruscant.

"My thoughts on the matter are that it sounds like a potentially mutually beneficial idea. It would benefit Corellia, and bring us forward economically and technologically, and it would be an excellent opportunity for Czerka as well. I assume you've called me here to ask what kinds of incentives Czerka can receive if they were to grace Corellia with their MagLev?"

It rapidly became clear to Oturo that this Senator was a commercially minded individual who could see the numerous benefits of a MagLev train network on Correllia. There would of course, be certain items that the Company would require in order that they might consider the planet a viable option for this particular venture, and it was these items that he now moved on to address.

''Most astute of you Senator. Indeed, the Company would like to know what sort of Grant Funding there would be available, and would like to propose the additional funding model.'' he said, placing a file before the Senator. Within would be found a breakdown of a 'Efficiency incentive' system of funding, in which the money that was provided after the initial 'seed funding grant' would be awarded in stages.

All money would be awarded for the next stage, if the previous stage had been completed on time, and on budget. It was a good system of funding, one that provided benefits to the one who was funding the operation, as it ensured the company they funded actually worked for their money.

Krass listened as the businessman spelled out his proposal. It had been similar to what he had expected and certainly well within reason of what he had to offer. The man was asking for incentives, grant money, and other such things to minimize losses for his project, and Krass could provide that. He folded his hands as the man finished his short address, and then began himself.

"Corellia prides itself on offering fair and lucrative incentives to businesses that would bolster our economy and infrastructure with their presence. I'd love to hear the proposals you have in mind as far as grants and incentives go. We can then see how well I can accommodate such things."

Pushing the file further toward the Senator with a slight nudge, in which could be found the proposals for the financial system that could be put into place by the Correllian Government, Oturo tried to think of a way of politely saying 'I just told you' to a Senator. With unnerving politeness, he opened the file for the Senator, before projecting the figures via a holo-screen behind him.

Numerous numbers presented themselves on the screen, hovering in small bubbles above a map of the railroad, indicating that each section of the railroad would come with a section of funding. ''As you can see from the holo-screen Senator, the proposal indicates that the grant funding required to construct the first stage of the rail line would be provided before construction begins.'' he said, highlighting a portion of the rail.

''Next, should the company meet its deadline, the stage 2 part of the line would be funded. At this stage, we would be able to run limited freight down the first portion of the line, meaning that funding from here on out would be at a reduced rate as the line becomes self-sufficient.'' he concluded, turning his chair to answer any questions.

Aren listened intently as the man spoke, taking in his requests and considering the possibilities. Finally he spoke, rather shortly, but to the point,

"I see no reason that all of that couldn't be accommodated, granted, of course, that the proper brokerage, convenience, and compliance arrangements are made with the senator who so graciously clears the way to green light construction, in lets say, seven days?"

Oturo listened closely as the Senator spoke, taking in his suggested funding arrangements. He was not surprised that the Senator found the accommodations agreeable, indeed he was not to shocked that the man was also trying to push things further.

He nodded simply, before speaking to the man finally ''We are glad that you find the arrangements agreeable Senator.'' Oturo noted, before saying ''I am sure that Czerka can adequately handle the brokerage of the deal.'' he concluded, implying that the Senator would be able to ensure that one of his own people could arrange for some of the funding to be skimmed off for the Senator if required, without needing to involve any of the companies people directly.

Krass nodded with a sly smile, "I am pleased to hear this Mr. Ishukone. Was there anything else you had wanted to bring to my attention?"

He didn't need any kickbacks or services from Czerka, but it was a sign of respect. He wasn't one to be pushed over by large corporations without compensation from their business arrangements. Were Czerka too stingy to treat him correctly for a man of his stature and aide, they were too stingy to do business on Corellia. They had passed the test and he was impressed. Perhaps he would invest the credits in a workers rights movement purely for the irony.
