Golly Gilly Gone

  • The notorious Quarren outlaw known as 'Golly Gilly' and her gang have been spotted on Onderon!

Golly Gilly is a mean shot with a rifle and she and her gang have been responsible for countless robberies across FWA, Republic and ISC space. These outlaws are hard to track because the gang keeps growing and aside from Golly Gilly herself none have a reputation big enough for locals to recognize them.

Latest ranger intel from the Lighthouse suggests the gang is hiding in the Onderon jungles close to the capital city of Iziz. Ranger command is worried that their presence on Onderon might have something to do with the Galactic Senate being held on the planet and fear that the previously successful kidnapping of ISC president Emryc Thorne might motivate other gangs to bag and ransom their own senators.

Thus, a ranger posse is formed to track down the gang's hideout and bring in Golly Gilly dead or alive.

The shistavanen ranger had his nose close to the sand and sniffed a couple of times while the other rangers waited behind him. "Her ssmell iss faint," Narr Noft growled softly as he rose back to his feet and turned towards the rest of the posse. "Too faint to track, so our besst bet is to identify a member of her gang and follow them to their hideout." The wolf-like ranger looked disappointed that even his senses couldn't find a Quarren on land, but then the city of Iziz was a whole lot busier this week than it normally is.

Only four blocks away the Galactic Senate was in session. The one place filled with Golly Gilly's potential targets, or rather, her victims. This particular Quarren wasn't exactly known to spare the ones she abducted, with or without receiving payment. She'd been an outlaw for the better part of a decade, but while the Sector Rangers were too busy chasing Sith and getting massacred in their coreworld stations, no one had been around to go after some troublesome Quarren and her little gang of gunslingers. This was changing now as every intergalactic governmental body seemed to form their own sector rangers and some of these bodies being adament to stay "neutral" in regard of the Sith Empire. That meant there was more funding and a diminished mandate to go after the Sith despite the countless of ranger they had killed.

Jon was particularly sensitive to the anger that Narr Noft felt over what he felt as an inhumane decision made by political narcissists, but he wasn't foolish enough to voice it out loud to anyone else than the young deputy he had following him around. "What do you think, Jon?" he asked the teenage rodian, who couldn't believe the honor of being asked his opinion in the presence of four bonafide Sector Rangers. "I think that since they're after a senator-" he started as he turned towards where the senate building stood, "-she'd have men on rotation scoping the place. Pick a target, preferably from a rich world but travelling with minimal security."

Jon turned back, this time all the way to a human ranger who for some unexplained reason instilled a sense of awe in the rodian teenager, "I think we'll find Gilly's men somewhere with a line of sight of the senate landing pads." Did he look at the human (@Mr. Teatime) to get a look or word of approval for his way of thinking? He wasn't sure, but he was terribly excited to participate in his first proper ranger posse.
