As of now, Gorgon Team has been drawn up with a singular purpose in mind: to generate as much attention with limited resources in Republic Space. Perform high profile operations, draw more resources to delay a counter-offensive. Or consequently, if things are also as dire for our opponents, degrade their capacity to rearm and resupply their forces.
Survival rate of this team ultimately depends on your squad although there is a high level of expectancy that once you enter this team, the only way you're leaving it is in a body bag. All things considered, that's probably true- we'll be acting on our own without constant lines of communication back to headquarters. What we do will be based on our own intelligence and initiative. Given our size, skill set of individual members and the task at hand Gorgon Team will have to hit hard and strike fast to achieve victory. Fail that, and Gorgon Team becomes just one man smaller. There's no fancy pay, there's no fancy medals- you won't be showered with love either, cause some people might not like what you'll be doing out there.
But someone's got to do the dirty things, and we can't afford to lose any Wolves.

Welcome to Gorgon Team. Let's make one thing clear- we're no Wolfpack. We don't claim to be the best of the best, neither are we the self proclaimed scapel of the Band. - What is this supposed to be?
- IIRCly, Gorgon Team is meant to perform high profile raids in Republic space in an effort to delay/disrupt future Republic plans as much as possible. They have little way in assets, support and contacts other than those which they possess on their own. No one is expected to survive- in fact, in the event of Gorgon Team's destruction Gorgon Actual (their handler) has instructions to immediately begin drafting in new members to reform the Team. This may happen indefinitely. Admittedly it's supposed to be a team performing a rearguard action usually left to an entire army- impossible? Nearly, but Gorgon don't do nearly. OOCly, this concept was inspired by several historical military achievements such as the rearguard action by Georgian Prince Pyotr Bagration, Battle of Peacock Hill and others.. NOBLE Team from Bungie's Halo Reach however, was my primarily inspiration for the creation of Gorgon Team; an RP group with a theme of desperation, fighting on all fronts and the inevitable threat of death. The idea isn't to survive, but to cause as much IIRCly havoc as possible (OOC stuff/drama is not tolerated in the group and to go out with a bang. If that sounds like a blast (geddit?) then go ahead and sign on in! - What will we do?
- Asides from doing normal mission packs like the rest of the plebs? There's 6 story missions that will be designed to push the limits of the writer. If your character survives, hey that's great! But don't expect it to be a norm. By the end of the sixth story mission if the team hasn't been completely wiped out, congratulations! You're certified badass writers, and you should feel proud of yourself. - This sounds awesome! Any criterias?
- Well you gotta be willing to lose your characters. To actually get the theme going, all missions are Death-enabled unless specified otherwise (Official mission packs for example.). Secondly is your general ability to cooperate with your other fellow writers. As mentioned, inter-group drama is a no go and will result in the involved parties getting kicked out from the group and replaced. Ain't here for the drama, at least the non-space-soap-opera kind. - Is this sanctioned?
- Hey @RedneckLoves . Hop in and give me that sweet green light if you think it's alright. - Am I allowed to die in fabulous/glorious ways that make tough men shed a tear in sheer respect for my character?
- At that point it's almost a requirement.

- Force Combatant (For Sith who volunteer to be part of the group. Take note, this is restricted to Sith level only. Expendable is another theme here.)
- Pilot (Handling both space or atmospheric combat.)
- Rifleman/woman (If you're unsure of their specialty.)
- Infiltrator (Congratulations; as if the squad wasn't suicidal enough as it is, whoever takes this role will probably see themselves stranded alone behind enemy territory gathering intelligence. Probably work in close conjunction with the scout-sniper, but for the most part this is for serious lone wolf characters.)
- Medic (This will be a particularly stressful job for your character. Not only will they have to ensure their teammates don't die needlessly on the battlefield, they have to evaluate the member's psychological status and ensure they're ready for shape for every operation. In the event a member is beyond saving on the field, they have orders to execute them and strip their bodies of any valuable gear.)
