Grand Tournament

Seeing as how we have a new timeline with brand new characters, who would be interested in a new grand tournament? I have a couple of possible scenarios.

Same old same old: use the 16 terms and locations from a random number generator and make a standard bracket tournament, just change around the options so they suit the time line.

OR

A team tournament. Everybody gets in partners who wants to participate and compete as a team to get through the standard bracket tournament. We could also make the teams at random which would make things interesting.

Anybody else have any ideas to spice up the tournament and more importantly, who would join?

I'd join, I never got to be in the old one, I joined too late, but it looks really fun. And the parteners idea sounds good, but when you get to say, the last 16 or 8 chars you could start having one on ones...

Well then I agree with Boli, not the entire thing for teams, say the first round or two. ANd there might be more than 16 chars willing at this stage anyway.

Wow, I only got to have one bye and that was with the Shadourian. Admittedly, the other two duels weren't against really tough opponents given that one was against a padawan where Hayvan was a knight and the other was against an unarmored Mandalorian (Though he did become Mandalore) They were still enjoyable and it was kind of neat that I got my first real wins and losses in those battles as my other battles always ended in draws.
