Hello there! I am so happy to find a populated Star Wars themed rpg. I have a few years of experience with these kind of games (it was a long time ago...), and I would really love to get back to it again.

As you will surely notice soon English is not my native language, although I lived in the US for a year, and studied in an international university. One of my goals are to polish my written English, so you are welcome anytime to point out anything dumb that I might write. And thank you for your understanding! :)

I am in the middle of writing the backstory for my character (a mercenary Duros, who just recently lost everything he built up over his career), which I hope you will have a chance to read in the following days. I'm looking forward to playing with you all!

Welcome to SWRP! And do not worry about English being your second language, if anything, a play-by-post RP will help develop your writing skills - and no matter what, you will pick things up as you go along. It may be worth putting a reminder that English is not your first language into your signature, so as to remind people you are RP'ing with however?

Also, did someone say Mercenary Duros?

Such a good place to start, a Gun for Hire can always find a place to fit in! In fact, a couple of other new members have fired up OPEN threads in the last couple of days, which would be an ideal place for you to dip your toes into the great swirling pool of roleplay. We have Seeking Guidance and The Search for a Jedi. If you want to something else, shoot me a PM and I shall see if I can help you out - I have a Bounty Hunter myself, so a good partnership could be forged!

That being said, now is a really good time to get stuck into the RP and learn the ropes over the next month or so, as in December we have a time skip planned, taking us back 5,000.00 years, which means new factions, new tech and of course, new characters. So now is a great time to get to grips with the forums, link up with some other players, and learn the ways of SWRP in time for the great kick off in December.

If you need anything, be it someone to answer a question, review a dank meme, or to RP with - just fire me a PM :)

Naturally I would be interested in any of those stories you mentioned. :) Right now I am planning a 3 chapter backstory for the character, but I would like to jump into action as soon as possible, so I might have to postpone that story, and add it at a later date. Or save the time for the new timeline.

As for the good partnership: powerful allies and opportunities to earn good amounts of credits are always welcome! :)
