Dromund Kaas, a lush planet that housed many secrets. At the moment, Zul was standing in the inside of a garage at a listening post. It was deep in the forest, miles away from the city and used for either spying or other black matter means. Zul stood there calm and collected as he usually did, his arms behind his back as he stared out into the trees. He didn't say a word as soldiers and regulars passed by, continuing their normal duties and making sure to ignore him. They heard stories of Acolytes and the best way to not get in trouble with them was just to ignore them altogether.

Zul reached out with the force farther, sensing something deep in the heart of the forest. There had been reports of more frequent animal attacks and weird behavior as such and it drew interest from the local lords. They requested acolytes and now he was here and Zul was quite pleased for it. He preferred this much more than clearing out some local filthy pirates. That was beneath him and a waste of his time but the search of artifacts, that was a different discussion altogether. He would always take the opportunity to learn more about his nature and the Dark Side, it was the most intriguing thing in the galaxy to him. It took Zul a few moments but he felt it, a dark presence that seemed to thump like a living heart. It was faint but it was there and he was determined to find the cause of it.

Zul inhaled deeply, closing his eyes as the Dark Side permeated around them, obviously whatever was from the forest and he relished it. Opening his eyes, they now shone a brighter gold, the darkness here fueling him as he absorbed all he could. Without turning his head, Zul spoke out loud, "Do you feel it?" It was the other acolyte tasked with this mission and opportunity for him to make "friends." To Zul's left was two speeder bikes, already prepped for the two to take off into the forest. Whatever was in the forest wasn't far however and they had the option to walk if they wanted. Zul left the option to his associate, his gaze still locked forward as he waited.

Elias Reach had his eyes firmly shut and his hands clasped behind his back. The dark side of the Force was strong on Dromund Kaas. If one did not maintain the utmost focus, the currents of energy flowing through the Force might seem to blend together and become meaningless. But, by carefully meditating, it became much easier to feel the individual currents as they were and follow them to their source. By doing this, he could indeed feel a throbbing in the Force. A low rumble that whispered of power.

He opened his eyes. "Yes. The instructors in Kaas City were correct. There are still objects to be found in the jungles of this planet." And, oh, how Elias hated those instructors. Their tests were as pointless as they were endless. Besides, he preferred to work alone. By forcing him to work alongside another, the instructors were simultaneously prodding at him and teaching him a valuable lesson. The lesson of competition. "I trust you also sensed the life forms around it? It is well-protected. We require a plan if we are to deal with the wildlife of Dromund Kaas."

Eli felt the cold grip of his lightsaber find his open palm. Somehow, it always came to combat with these Sith Purebloods. Nevertheless, he took the first few steps ahead towards the jungle. Neither one of them would return to the overseers with an artifact if they both just stood and waited for the danger to subside, after all. He continued until he reached a natural bridge overlooking a series of thin, cascading waterfalls. He knew that once they crossed, they would be in the land of the beast.

He glanced sideways at the Sith pureblood and resisted the urge to grimace. Their ilk were so self-important and he loathed them; but, for now, he would have to make do. "Well?" he asked, somewhat sharper than intended. @Orbit

Zul turned his head slightly, seeing his associate walk past and confirm he sensed the other life around the dark presence. It was true, many artifacts have been located on Dromund Kaas and it was like the planet just continued to spit them out. It's what made the planet so interesting to Zul and made him think of what he wanted to do in the future. Based on just his tone he didn't seem to be quite pleased working with the Pureblood but he didn't mind. Zul was used to it from others during his training and over the years he's learned well to mask his own displeasure in his voice. "I sense them." He saw the human's lightsaber slide into his hand and the acolyte seemed more prone to combat then Zul himself.

Following aside him, the Pureblood still had his hands clasped behind his back, His gaze scanning around them occasionally as the stench of the Dark Side grew with every step they took. They could hear the occasional howls of creatures and squawks of birds but they ignored the two acolytes as of now. When they reached the bridge it was obvious they were on the right path, everything on the other side seeming to be deathly still. Even the wind seemed to stop across the bridge and there was an unusual silence that never happened in a forest. When the acolyte asked him his question, Zul brought his gaze over with an eyebrow raised,
"Yes? Are you asking me to form a plan without seeing the situation in front of me? Or are you asking my permission to cross this bridge?" He shrugged his shoulders, sensing no lifeforms or beasts waiting to ambush them on the other side.

"Appears safe to me." The Pureblood stepped forward, his hands still clasped behind his back as he spoke while walking, "You have my permission to cross." If Eli tried to read Zul he could his emotions completely neutral, just like his voice as he made his way across his bridge. It was hard to tell if he being condescending or just being a Pureblood and not understanding. But Eli would have a hint that it was on purpose, Zul clearly not appreciating the tone if they were going to work together. It was a simple showing if he was going to make his resentment to Purebloods so obvious, that both could play the same game.
