APPEARANCE:
Grin appears as a rather tall Twi'lek male at around 6ft5in, built like a fighter with a decent amount of muscle, his weight about what you would expect of a guy his size (if a little lighter), and large hands made to work. His skin is a lighter shade of blue, with jagged patterns going down his head tails. He has stark green eyes, a chiseled jaw, and is rather handsome to women who are looking for a strong man in their lives
ATTRIBUTES:
Grin is a rather strong guy, able to lift things that a normal human would struggle with half as much effort. He is intelligent, and understands how things work quickly, if given the time to learn. If given a task, he will do his best to follow the orders of his superiors. He is loyal, and is more than likely not to try and betray those who have done right by him. However, he can be overly determined and short-sighted at times, seeing the immediate benefit of things rather than the long-term effect. If you insult his admiral or fellow pirates, he will not hesitate to shoot you or run you into a wall.
PERSONALITY:
Grin is what you would almost call a dog to his captain. He takes orders well, but will refuse if the action is not logical to him. An example of this is if his superior orders him to give him a drink or a blaster, he will gladly do so; however, if the same superior asks him to shoot himself in the foot or act like an animal, he will try to refuse. He is kind, for the most part, but can be temperamental on subjects involving family, friends, or his work. In a fire- or fistfight, he is ruthless, playing dirty if it means coming out on top. He is not exactly used to blood and gore, but he isn't one to get sick around it.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Ryloth during the time of the Republic, Grin was raised in a rather lovely household. Despite being raised in a rather poor city, Grin was content with life. His mother and father loved each other, and him for that matter, and money wasn't too much of an issue in the context they were living in. That was until the Republic taxed the city rather harshly, and his family started to fall apart. With the harsher taxation, Grin's father ended up taking a second job mining, which caused his death from overworking, leaving Grin and his mother to support themselves. At age 18, Grin's mother died from illness, unable to afford medicine. A couple years later, after the Mandolorian Dominion took over, little changed. Taxation was the same, if not worse, and soon Grin was homeless.
Tired of life under the Dominion, he mugged a Mandolorian, stole the only part of his armor that fit (being the chest plate), took the weapons of the soldier, and escaped his home town. Several years later, he joins up with the Black Birds, as an Engineer, for the reason he needed a group to protect him, and support him. Finding a family within the greedy pirates, he practically fit right in. He enjoyed his work, and it was better than being under the thumb of the Dominion. He was fully willing to die for his brothers-in-arms, and fully willing to take a couple jabs at the system that let his family fall apart.
SKILLS:
Grin is a rather skilled shot with a rifle, and can hit a target with a throwing knife nearly 70ft away with ease. Still, he is experienced in hand-to-hand and close-quarters combat, knowing to look for a weakness in an opponent rather than just try and win through endurance. He is also a skilled engineer, able to quickly fix most problems on a ship with little to no issue (if he has the part he needs, if not, he can jerryrig something together for a while).
