Haar ate a piece of the algae that was presented to him. In all honesty, it was not the best thing he tasted, though he made sure to keep his expression neutral while eating. He felt the one with a stronger aura fluctuate in the Force for a moment. Perhaps he did not like it at all.

The Jedi master mentally sniffed at the notion, waiting for the diplomatic transaction to go through its course.

 

[Storm]

T'Truht slowly ate on the algae.

It was more out of courtesy than any real hunger, although T'Truht knew how temperamental such societies could be, and how it was important to appeal to them. Nevertheless, there was a need to press on with the matter at hand, which was why the Jedi was there. Having eaten some of the algae, T'Truht pressed his palms together.

And then he spoke.

"Your food and home truly is wonderful," He said, with meaning, to the Sauvax. "However, I'm afraid we are here to discuss something above pleasantries; we're here to give you an offer. The Republic, who we're here to represent, offer you the chance to become a member planet; whilst maintaining Leritor's independence, you would have the benefits of protection, unity, increased trade sand the other such benefits I'm sure you already know of."

 

[Trakon]

"Yess we are alreadyyy aware of the offerr. But we are entirely self sufficient-t-t, and few othersss," the lead Sauvax looks over the parties with 'distaste' at best," come to our planet-t-t. What goodd would in increasedd trade be?"

 

[Count Sam]

" your highness bear in mind that the republic cant even protect it self. There is probably a whole fleet of republic, and jedi forces surrounded by Hutt, and taung forces as we speak" Tahn spoke just right after the elder finished. Yeah he did not want to sound impolite after all. Also he made sure that his tone was friendly, and polite.

 

[Jaqen H'ghar]

"Indeed, my young friend here has a point however slightly tactless he is in presenting it. By alligning yourself with the republic you would be forced into a conflict you have no reason to partake in." He said in a conversational tone. "You would have to weigh the benifits here, if you were to simply stay neutral, while the republic may keep trade from you, you would not be made a target of. In fact you could still trade with the parties we represent without being tethered down to the conflict itself." he said, while speaking with his hands to demonstraight various appropriate importance in what he was saying.

 

[Lavi]

"A bit quick to get to negotiations? We have not yet been escorted to the meeting room that our hosts prepared for this occasion," Haar commented.

The Hutt diplomats' sense of haste to get down to business was a bit too eager for the master's liking.

 

[Trakon]

"Yes indeeddd masterrr Jedi. Come with usss if you pleaseee." The Sauvax turned on a dime and led the way back to their meeting house. Inside was more algae, and several seats to accomodate the guests. "Sit, and enjoy the food."

 

[Count Sam]

This was getting annoying. Yeah it seemed that eating was the only thing these people were good at doing. Fastly Tahn sat down, and started to eat again. After all that was the only thing he could do at the moment to be on the good side of those people.

"you, and your people are so generous your highness." Tahn spoke in a friendly tone to the sauvex elder as he gave him fake friendly smile.

 

[Trakon]

"Yesss, we know that." The leader ate a piece of algae quickly, then looked at the Jedi.

"Master Jedi, please explain in more detail as to why weee should join you."

 

[Johnnysaurus Rex]

Misaki was a bit withdrawn in such company. This was her first mission of this nature and she was being accompanied by two more senior Jedi Masters who were handling the situation much better than she ever could. For now she kept an eye on the Hutt diplomats and her mouth closed. She didn't want to say anything off hand that would undo the work of T'Truht and Haar.

The Sauvex's leader answer pissed Tahn a little bit off. Yeah they sounded pretty arrogant, but of course he did not show his anger out. Yes he kept it hidden behind the mask of diplomacy that he was wearing for this mission which was getting annoying.But still this planet was going to mean a lot to the republic, and that is why he had to be careful, and watch every single word he says.

"Despite what the Hutt diplomats inform you, war would only come to your world if the Hutt Empire sees Lerithor as a planet of strategic importance," Haar spoke up. "By joining the Republic, we will offer government protection if you desire it."

"To speak of one of the Hutt diplomats about the current state of the war - the Jedi Order is quite secure from attack by the Hutts' insurgents and it is impossible to completely surround the Republic naval forces at this early stage of the war."

 

[Trakon]

"Prior to the execution of the knight, the Order was unaware of the enormous anti-Jedi sentiments that the Hutts presented. With the High Council now aware, the Order's members have been advised to exercise extra caution while traveling. It is not a matter of high importance," replied the council member. He dismissed the Sauvax's concerns without hesitation. The matter was not about the politics surrounding the Jedi Order, and it should remain concentrated on the purpose of the meeting. To Haar, anyways.

 

[Count Sam]

""wait jedi are you trying to say that its either the Sauvex join you, or they become your enemies?" Tahn spoke as soon as the jedi finished his talk. Yeah that was the only polite way to do negotiations." is that really your idea of peace jedi?" Tahn spoke again to the jedi.

"We simply offer your planet to stay neutral. You will still be able have business with us, and the republic if they want to, and at the same time you, and your people will live in peace, and avoid the war" Tahn spoke to the savuex leader."and also about the republic naval forces I belive that as I said there is a huge naval fleet surrounded above Mon calamari. Also I belive that the supreme commander of the republic forces is on the command ship of the fleet as well"

 

[Trakon]

"Really nowwwwww. What is the point of bringing this fleettttttt into the topic?"

 

[Count Sam]

"actually I was just trying to explain the republic forces position in the war your highness." seriously this sauvex leader was the dumbest person Tahn has ever met in his life. How was he thinking? surely a good leader would have cared a lot about the miliatry forces of a faction that he wants to ally himself with.

 

[Trakon]

"Do you think weee are foolsss? Because weee do nottt careee about where miltary is?" The Sauvax to the best of his abilities, spat on the ground near the 'Hutt' ambassador.

"I ask you to remove this follower from thisss meeting." The Leader spoke to the head 'Hutt' ambassador, the one who had remained silent during this conversation so far.
