DESCRIPTION​

The Guardian holdout blaster is an elegant weapon for a crude galaxy. The diminutive pistol is produced in small batches by a Nubia-based subsidiary of SoroSuub Corporation, primarily for purchase by discerning clients and collectors in the Core, where many like to have some form of concealable personal protection but also want to look nice. The Guardian is, unsurprisingly, popular with politicians and nobility who are more concerned with the weapons presentation than its stopping power, but it's also become a favorite among individuals with a strong sense of style or flair; including self styled pirate captains, flamboyant petty dictators, and the like. The flashy design has also made it a target for counterfeiters who produce visually similar weapons with inferior materials, in an attempt to cash in on unsuspecting buyers materialistic nature and love of status symbols.

The Guardians frame (assuming you didn't buy a knock off) is constructed of dallorian alloy and is plated with chromium, which gives it its brilliant finish as well its remarkable heat dissipation properties- a feature that's totally unnecessary in a tiny pistol with only an 8 bolt capacity and a semi-automatic rate of fire which will never generate enough heat from regular use to merit the expensive materials. The weapon has a proprietary tibanna gas charger that produces striking emerald blaster bolts when fired in its standard mode, and shining sapphire blue stun bolts. The stun mode is often missing from counterfeit products, but was included by SoroSuub in the original design in order to broaden its marketability. It is powered by standard and commonly available miniaturized power cells, although SoroSubb also offers tailor made chromium wrapped power cells to match the weapons aesthetic- these special cells have no discernable effect on performance.
