Hours later of keeping a watchful eye on Faith in a seat next to the bed she was laying in, through the hours of pain due to the unexpected early arrival of their child into this world – it was finally over and Faith was holding their child in her arms, two months early had their son been born. When he heard how one mentioned that Faith got herself a fine trooper he freezed for a second, getting shivers sent down his spine when he thought back to the first years during his time the GA. Shaking his head he got those memories out of his head, and instead focused on Faith that was looking at him and smiling.
Nathaniel just smiled in return when she smiled at him, despite the memories from the past he wouldn't let this day be ruined by such petty things. Not today.
When Faith said that she owed him an answer he just shook his head for a second, stubborn as ever – despite having endured hours of labour she still thought about giving him an answer to the question that he had posed earlier.
“A million times yes!"
The answer that she gave him made him smile even morethen he had before, he closed his eyes and chuckled lightly at first. He went over it another time in his head to make himself believe that he had heard it right, before opening his eyes and looking at Faith once more who held their son. Placing his hand on Faith's cheek he just smiled at Faith, before giving her a short kiss, his eyes told that he was truly joyful this moment. At the moment he felth that he didn't have to say a word, his touch on her cheek, the kiss and the way his eyes showed what he felt, he believed that it was enough.
