DESCRIPTION​

Perhaps the most fearsome piece of technology the Gungan Grand Army has access to. The Gungan Shield Generator is a portable Rayshield generator consisting of two separate pieces, a projector and a receiver. The Projector piece resembles an archaic laser cannon, but actually projects a beam of plasma. When this beam collides with the circular receiver, the energy is redirected upward and creates a large dome of plasma with a radius of fifty (50) meters.

Slow moving objects such as soldiers and vehicles, can pass through the shields without any sort of bodily harm. Additionally, objects made of pure plasma (such as the gungan booma) can pass through the shields without trouble. due to the raw size and power of these shields, they are completely impervious to small arms fire such as blaster rifles and pistols. Even most grenades, rockets, and starship laser cannons will not have any lasting effect to the shield's integrity. Weapons such as Heavy laser cannons, proton torpedoes, and Light Turbolasers, can damage the shields. Eight (8) combined shots from weapons of this power level can cause the shield to effectively 'shatter' and shut down. Alternatively, Medium and Heavy Turbolasers only require four (4) combined shots to cause a similar shutdown.

The two pieces which make up the shield generator must be fashioned to a set of large creatures, such as a pair of Fambaas, if mobility is desired. These generators are occasionally stationary, but that is a rarity.

LEGALITY​

Illegal. These powerful shield generators are made by Gungan Engineers of the Otoh Gunga Defense League. They are considered to be a trade secret, and are illegal to be utilized by forces outside the Gungan Grand Army.

INTENT​

Bring a piece of technology from cannon into the site's fannon.

RESTRICTIONS​

The Gungan Shield Generator can only be used during invasions or large battles. They require mounting to two Fambaas in order to become portable.
