[Just so you know most of this, except the Bio, are written somewhat in Hal’s voice so I wouldn't blow my brains out filling this out ;) ]

NAME: Hal Pert
FACTION: Jedi Covenant
RANK: Jedi Padawan
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 17
GENDER: Male
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes, untrained.

APPEARANCE:
Young, tall and thin. 6’ 4” and 170lbs. Brown hair and eyes and tanned skin. Always seems to be dirty for some reason. Freckled and wears piloting goggles way more often than needed. Typically wears an earth toned tunic and black pants, when he's outside he wears a bantha fur rimmed wrangler hat. Yeah it's ridiculous but Beas gave it to him.

ATTRIBUTES:
Hal is largely a class clown too smart for his own good. He likes to crack jokes and lighten the mood any chance he gets, unfortunately not everyone in the galaxy is as lighthearted as he is. His sense of humor causes many to believe he’s the village idiot, but in reality Hal is quite intelligent. He just doesn’t believe you have to have a stick up your butt to know your way around the galaxy.

As far as physicality, well that’s why they make droids isn’t it? He's healthy and rarely gets sick. He’s fairly dexterous, but that twi’lek that showed him how to do a back handspring forgot to mention what good that does in a cockpit. His best attribute by far are his quick reflexes. Maybe it’s because he’s a force sensitive or maybe it’s just because he’s the only pilot in the galaxy who takes his craft seriously. It’s probably the force thing though.

Stamina is low, just ask the twi’lek. Seriously though, pilots just have to sit in a seat and the ship lands them near enough to where they need to be. The loading droids do all the heavy stuff, who cares how many crates you can carry for how long?

PERSONALITY:
Hal is laid back and aloof but fun loving. He is a wide open book and within five minutes of meeting Hal, you know exactly who he is. Nothing stays hidden long. He doesn’t really care so much what’s going on in your life. Home planet blew up? Bank got robbed? You see the thing is… “Don’t care fare’s still due.”

You wanna be his friend? You’re gunna have to learn that Hal cares about Hal. And his ship. And Beas. And his droid. And his bobble heads. Usually in that order. But that’s it! His intellect makes him calculating and analytical, but not much of that comes to the surface unmasked by humor, snark, or the like. And more often than not Hal plays dumb just to fit in with everyone else. Hal knows how the game is played and he’s going to enjoy his time playing, and making up a few extra rules along the way.

BIOGRAPHY:
Hal was born to wealthy influencers in Hutt lands. He never fit in with them, they tried to raise him to be their replacement when the time came. They dealt with every type of slimy underlord and petty criminal in the sector, extorting them for credits and using them against each other along the way. Hal's parents often made bets on the lives of their clientele as if they were disposable banthas. They sent Hal to the most expensive schools in the system and Hal did his best to get kicked out of them; but deep parental pockets prevailed.

Hal met Beas in their early teens. She came from a similar situation and was being much more diplomatic about her rebellion. She got involved in a roller league instead of art, that kind of thing. Beas was smarter than get parents by the time she was 13 and often used that intelligence to embarrass them in front of "friends". Her parents always played it off as youth, puberty, and poor teachers at "that school". But Hal and Beas knew the truth, Beas was leagues ahead of everyone around her and she was just biding her time until she could run away.

Hal loved flying and driving anything he could get his hands on, and he got his hands on quite a few vessels that weren't exactly his, that was his method of rebellion. Hal and Beas still don’t know who came up with the idea, who said it first; but before they’d finished up in the academy they were planning to steal a vessel and trade their way to fame. Remarkably, it worked, sort of. Sure, the only ship they could find that wouldn't immediately register as stolen was a junker that they stole from a salvage yard. And it only flew ten miles before the left engine blew. But that right engine, baby, it carried them across the planet where they hustled the junk heap for enough credits to buy something much smaller but with less chance of explosion.

They spent the next year making as many credits as they could as traders and buying bigger and better ships along the way. Beas was the face of Pert and Beas Piloting from day one. She looked a bit older than she really was and much older than Hal. Diplomacy and tact was always her thing, so when transporting passengers Hal almost always stays in the cockpit and lets Beas handle the passenger’s needs. Hal tends to be the one taking care of the goods at the starports while Beas stays in the ship.

Their current vessel was a gift, obligation, and gateway all wrapped in one. D.A.N. had gotten Beas into a spot of trouble with his loud mouth on Coruscant and the trio had to get off planet incognito fast. Their old transport had been compromised and so they sold it for next to nothing. An old spacer overheard the sale and asked why they were in such a hurry to get off the planet. Hal explained the issue and the old man decided to give 'em a ride into deep space on his passenger transport. Once they were in space the old man told them a little about the rebellion and, long story short, roped them into running cargo and personnel for the rebellion. It was decent pay and they were helping quite a few people escape horrible situations. The old spacer died and left Hal his ship. Hal's continued doing these runs for the rebellion in honor of the old man who helped him off Coruscant. The paycheck is steady, most of the jobs are relatively safe, and Hal makes decent money on the side carrying extra passengers as cover.

They have their eye on a new vessel and if they can pull off the heist it’ll be the steal of their lives. They’ve both kept in contact with their parents, who are disappointed in Hal and Beas’ choices; but they are more likely concerned about the impact on their social status. Hal's requests for financing have so far only been met with dagger eyes.

Hal is force sensitive but largely keeps it to himself. He's not keen on being branded Jedi or Sith. He'd like to just be Hal, thank you very much. And it seems like whether you are a Jedi or Sith, you'll just end up dying at the end of a Sith blade in the end anyway.

SKILLS:
Marksmanship? Awwww, Mustifar no. Why waste your time lining up a shot, calculating the wind, and measuring for methane when a repeater could have done the job five times already. Side note, you might also make a little extra cash from the pockets of the bystanders.
Swordsmanship? See Marksmanship.
Medical Knowledge- Hal knows a bit of advanced first aid and resuscitation techniques for various species. Being in charge of a transport full of passengers does come with some responsibility after all.
Multilingual- That’s what droids are for. And D.A.N. was the cheapest one he could find.
Technological expertise- Hal can repair most anything that’s broken and slice into simple computers. Just give him time and access to a computer…oh, celestials, I hope the computer isn’t what broke…
Piloting- Now we’re talking. Hal does this. Well. ‘Nuff said.
Exploration- Hal seeks the deepest parts of the galaxy and details the things he finds. If he’s not hauling VIPs and HVT across the galaxy to crazy cool spots he’s found, then he’s hauling expensive resources from planets around the galaxy to sell at market. And no, I ain’t gunna tell you where I got them from.
Jazz Hands- Yes, but it’ll cost you an entertainer fee.

GEAR:
Small repeating PDW slung around his back, holdout blaster on his ankle, D.A.N., Datapad, commlink.
When exploring Hal typically takes a wide array of short wave scanners, mining and extraction tools, and necessary spelunking gear.

ROLE-PLAYS (In chronological order):
A Question of Trade (In Progress)
Hal encounters two Sith who question him about his illicit Zolam Resin trade on Hemelder. Hal and Beas leave to hide out on Toydaria with the creds from the last resin job.
Fate or Force (Complete)
Hal meets his new master Ayasha and leaves Toydaria for Ord Mantell.
Savvy Conflict (In Progress)
Hal meets Otus and Ayasha for a mission to stop Savrips from doing bad things.
The Bothan's Tale (In Progress) (Tech Plot)
Hal and Naala travel to Bothawui and take care of something for a local Bothan in exchange for a ship part.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Beas Leigh (Zeltron)– Friend/Love interest/Copilot/it’s complicated quit asking question. (NPC co-pilot that is the face of Pert and Leigh's Piloting.)

SHIP:
ED-3 Stargull, it's kinda a rust bucket at this point but she still flies straight...most of the time.

DROIDS:
D.A.N. A small translator droid that asks waaaay too many personal questions, won some droid reality contest, and is better at social engineering than actually translating, but hey what do you expect for 50 creds?

The Chiss are at this point of time living in complete isolation in the unknown regions and have not are unknown to the Galaxy. So a random Chiss NPC would need a reason for why they left the Ascendancy. I'm gonna need a detailed explanation for how and why she got out or for a change in species.

Also, please add tech submission links for the gear. The weapons, the droid.

Didn't know the lore, just saw them on the approved species list. Changed to Zeltron, is that acceptable?

Done.

A few minor fixes before I can approve this. Please specify the character's height and weight. Also, healing with the Force is pretty advanced, and not something anyone would be able to figure out without any training. So that bit will have to go. He can be aware of his Force sensitivity, but not be able to do do any healing. Also, is he indie or GA? Your tag says GA, but looks like he's indie.

GA, I was going for a more independent, smuggler, carrier feel. Similar to Han Solo in that Hal’s with the GA more through circumstance than outright allegiance. He’ll stick with them as long as they keep paying. But I suppose now you’ll want that written in the profile, huh? ;)
