Friend or Foe
The Republic has known peace for a century, leaving little old enough to remember a time in which the Sith remained a serious threat to the galaxy. There have been rumors, about their return. Rumors, however, fly wildly about the galaxy, and in such a vast expanse it is hard to take any of them seriously... but what is they are right? Could such power hungry tyrants truly topple the grand economic Empire that the Republic has come? Could there truly be such a force as to challenge the senate's supremacy within the core? The answer is unlikely, but the implications are terrifying.
A group of Jedi delegates have petitioned a hearing with the senate, with a most urgent haste. Claiming to have evidence of the Sith's malicious intent, the senators selected to attend the hearing have been chosen specifically for their tact and diplomacy. It would be a monumental moment if this evidence stripped bare the rumors floating in the dark edges of space.

This hearing will work a little differently, as senators are not picking apart an issue they know they will have to make a motion on. Hear them out or not, the most important thing is that this evidence may change minds and give jedi favor in the senate. Should they be so convinced, perhaps a motion will be driven by the events of this thread.
Note: Evidence will be used from this thread, there will be fire and distortion intentionally meant to skew things. Read up on it if you want to sign up, but don't take everything in it as blatant fact, remember the jedi will likely present it in a different light.
