I actually beat it with some friends the other day on Legendary. I'm just saying, an ODST will be like, 500 times weaker than any Spartan, thus will have a much harder time taking down enemies.

Aye, very very true. But on Legendary a basic Sangheili can down a Spartan with one smack of his plasma rifle. Obviously it would take a lot less to down a marine which will make it loads harder (and a lot more fun!) The only thing chief had over a marine really imo was his energy shield and a lot more stamina.

But if you recall in Halo: Combat Evolved chief had a health bar as well. Never the less all I can really say about this is "WANT!"

Would definitely improve Halo gamers' fighting ability on online multiplayer matches to fight as an ODST on Legendary.

I wouldn't mind taking off the energy shields all together.

I doubt there will be any huge graphical kick in the rear as this is just a download (also comes with a few multiplayer maps). Still, it's gonna be tough without that energy shield and the run and gunners will be pissed (i.e. the little kids, but they only seem to populate multiplayer).

It is not a download, the game will come on its own disk, and contain the Mythic map pack, and a yet unreleased map pack.

They'll prorably just make this new ODST guy godly like the Spartans.

I hope they make it squad based, like gears of war, just more advanced.

I think they know if they made him god like, it would defeat the point of the game, but at the same time they will likely make him stronger then the marines of the main halo games. (being able to survive more then they could) Other wise people would complain at how hard the game is. :/

Hmmm... I was under the impression it was just a download. Well, I guess that will leave them no excuse now to have a short campaign or involve any special other things.

Perhaps the soldier is codenamed 'Recon'

I am also under the impression that the man we saw in the trailer was a S1, at least that is what I gathered from reading the SA's transmissions.

By it not being stealth acton, they mean that it will not be like Splinter Cell, or Metal Gear Solid.

Knife would be great for stabbing others in the back for instant kills.

Only practical for stealthy kills, imo, but the game apparently is not about stealth. :[

That's what I'm saying. The takedown or whatever it is where you kill someone from behind instantly is replaced with the knife kill.
