Ask Kalee Hands of Time

Kalee, Midnight

The moonlight was faint, hidden behind gray clouds that threatened to engulf it. From the coldness in the air, Emilia could tell that it was going to rain soon. It was good her hood was up and her face was mostly covered, both would not only hide her identity but keep her dry.

Spice smoke, cigarette smoke and music drifted out of the spaceport cantina she was outside of. The smoke curled and danced in the icy winds bite as it left the establishment, visible only in the coloured lights from the signs above and around the cantina.

Some of those lights reached to and tinted the left side of Emilia's scoundrel robes, though because she'd dyed them black it mostly absorbed the colours. She stood arms crossed, leaning her upper back against the cantina's dirty, dusty, outside wall. The doorway of the cantina was about ten meters away from her.

She was standing mostly in the shadows. Because it was harder to see her, the passerby's mostly ignored her. Emilia did not ignore them, however. Her purple eyes scanned the men and women as they passed by, entered and existed the busy cantina.

[Darth Draugr]

It wasn't common for Lord Draugr to be seen on Kalee, but he was here for a briefing on expansion in the western most region of the galaxy. Though his brief would not be for a little while, so in the meantime he would find himself making his way to some cantina nearby and enjoy a drink. His attire that of a Lord. it was a Sith planet, under the control of the Empire. It wasn't uncommon for him to make himself known to those around him. To send them the message that their leader is among their ranks.

"Bartender, beer me."

"Comin up."

Draugr would leave a courtesy tip for the the drink handler as he paid for the drink. Make a good impression with the people, and you can count on their trust to help when needed.

Taking a quick sip from his bottle he'd lean his back on the counter and survey the room, nothing too off so far, everyone looked like street trash as usual. Different races around him the common every day thing in the outer rim planets under the Sith control. After his drink he would make his way to the secret operations facility located here on Kalee, but for now he would enjoy his beer. That is as long as it was uninterrupted.

No one of note had entered or left the cantina or passed by her since she'd arrived. While Emilia was acting as a lookout at the one hub, more rebels arrived at the spaceport near her, and spaceports across the planet. The rebellion was made up of support from several planets and outsiders, so it was newer but by no means small.

All the rebels were, of course, dressed as regular scum and spacers. They all had their orders so they separated and scattered throughout various areas. All but one rebel scattered, that is. One came to Emilia. Emilia nodded at him and pushed off the dirty wall, uncrossing her arms and allowing the rebel to replace her as a lookout.

The small sephi only needed to take a few steps before she rounded a corner into an alleyway. She'd continue to turn corners, winding and weaving throughout the moon lit alleys to stay out of sight and as unreachable as possible for as long as needed.

There in the dim moonlight she pulled out her datapad and began the second phase of her plan. As a slicer, a talented, practiced and established one at that, and with help from other slicer rebels, she'd prepared a program to slice into anything connected to the holonet on Kalee and force them onto her stream

Meaning, all projections, all billboards, all datapads, with a connection to the holonet on Kalee would be forced onto her stream. Once they did her stream would play a recorded video, on repeat.

Within seconds of engaging her slicing program, her video was playing on the effected devices. And she, as an extra precaution, had programmed a security feature into her stream. The feature forced her stream to ping off multiple datacenters to appear to be coming from several sources.

On the video was the new logo of the Rebel Alliance.

Her voice, accompanied by white sub titles in the planets native language, played across it. "Dear people of Kalee, I beg that you allow me to command your attention for a short time," her voice boomed over the recording.

"Aliens, the Sith Empire, have conquered your mighty planet and its fearsome people. Now the Kaleesh bow to them, and the planet has become nothing more than a tool for outsiders to further their ambitions, and it is not without cost."

The small sephi clipped her datpad back onto her belt while she kept walking, as long as it was safe, towards her next goal while the recording was playing. "The Sith subjugate your people, force them to kneel, drain your planets resources and make decisions for your people."

Her voice paused over the recording for only a single heartbeat, "But you, the people of Kalee, can change that now. You have allies here, now, that will help force the Sith, these outsiders, off your planet and free your people from their subjugation. Rise up, show them that you, the Kaleesh people, will no longer be controlled!"

Soon after the recording played, unrest would rise across the world.

[Darth Draugr]

As the Lord had a couple sips of his beer, some holo message found it's way into the system and giving a pathetic speech for the rebel cause. So much propaganda being formed and not to mention that the statements weren't just false, but completely one hundred eighty degrees backwards. The Zabrak scoffed at hearing the words.

Looking around the room a lot of the people of Kalee, the Kaleesh, they had similar reaction. Most were confused by the message as they chose to join the Empire, this planet wasn't forced into anything. It was silly to say they were. Nonetheless a threat was on planet now and Draugr had to find them. So he would pull up his personal commlink and reach out to headquarters as he would start leaving the cantina to go on the hunt.

"HQ, this Lord Draugr. I need you to pinpoint the location of the source of the signal. Use as many personnel as you need, eliminate everyone false source. I don't care how long it takes. Send out the troops all over the city, no one gets in, no one gets out. Plug every hole, make sure to clear the buildings for any of these rebels, and to get security over all exits. We will find thses enemies and they will suffer their consequences."

"Yes m'lord. It will be done."

Draugr was heading down the main streets looking for any sign of the enemy. Hard set eyes on him, aggressive behavior around him, even fear. Any indication that there was a nonimperial personnel in the area would give him the reason to suspect treason. Before too long he would turn down an alley way. The rebel had to be somewhere.

Emilia was, most of the time, calm. Even cold, so there would be no strong emotions to sense from her as she trekked through the alleys. She did not cause any chaos on her way either, to continue to avoid drawing any attention to herself.

She'd put her bets on not every single soul on the planet agreeing with whatever deal was struck with the Empire, the Empire itself or simply being used by the Empire (unless it was truly hopeless and everyone on the planet did agree, but she was willing to try the method, at least).

The Kaleesh that the speech resonated with, that the rebels on the planet managed to reach, would be welcomed by them. The ones the rebels managed to get in contact with would be taken under their wing and given the direction to wait and coordinate, instead of making themselves easy targets. The rebels themselves were more interested in creating cells with whatever people they were able to.

Before reaching her next destination, Emilia took out her datapad and stopped the transmission while keeping a lookout, partly surprised it was still going on. Actually, she was surprised that it had managed to play all the way through, but she supposed she had the element of surprise on her side.

The small sephi, with no opposition to stop her and a head start from any, covertly made it to the the goverment building where the head of state resided. She waved her hand, using the Force very briefly to convince the guards she was a guest sent by the Sith and to lead her to the Khagan, the head of the goverment. They nodded, her prowess in the Force paying off, and began leading her through the halls.

Without being aware, any significant threat that could have stopped Emilia was far away and on the streets. No one stopped her from taking the last few steps she needed to get into the Khagan's office.

"A guest the Sith sent," the guard said, gesturing towards Emilia and showing his respect to the Khagan, the world leader.

"No, I am Sith. Leave, lock the door and make sure no one interrupts our important meeting," Emilia said with a wave of her hand. The man nodded and left, locking the door behind him before informing the guards not allow anyone else in, even as the Khagan stood confused and was about to shout.

Once again, the Jedi and her prowess in the Force waved her hand, but towards the Khagan this time. "You want to announce that Kalee will no longer be part of the Sith Empire, due to some unsettling information that's been recently discovered. All Sith and imperials are to leave the planet immediately."

Emilia had zero desire to do any of this diplomatically, so there was not going to be much talk. She was a zealot and this man was evil in her eyes. He supported the Sith, and so what she was doing now was for the greater good.

The Khagan nodded. "Yes, I will make that announcement now," he said.

Sitting back down at his desk, the Khagan pressed a button to make an emergency holonet broadcast while no one could stop him, or Emilia. His hologram was spread throughout his world as he began the announcement, letting the population know that Kalee has left the Sith Empire; that all imperial troops and Sith must leave the planet immediately. As he did, Emilia brought her lightsaber hilt to her hand, igniting the purple blade.

[Darth Draugr]

After a search along the streets of the planet Kalee. He eventually found his placing at the building that contained the Head of State. It was the target for sure. There was no doubt, take out the big dog of the planet and take it in one swoop. This wouldn't be so easy if Draugr had anything to say or do about it. If these rebels wanted to take the planet they would have to go through Draugr.

Just then a holo came up of the planet's leader. He was denouncing the Sith. Denouncing the Empire. The terms that were given to the Kaleesh leader were grand enough he wouldn't just turn against the Empire. It didn't look to be that he was being held against his will either. Only two things that could mean: Treason, or Jedi mind tricks. The Sith Lord would be prepared for either heading into this fight. Nothing was going to stop him.

As he entered the building the Sith Soldiers looked for guidance, he would simply have them follow as he made his way to the office. Announcing in a booming voice grabbing the attention of all Sith around,

"No one leaves the building no matter what. You all still take orders from me. If they fire on you, kill them immediately. We are going to try to keep the people of Kalee, our allies until just a second ago, on good terms with Empire. Establish a 360 security on the building. Move!"

"Yes, my Lord."

As he ordered the troops would surround the building. They would not shoot until fired upon, for the sake of trying to maintain peace with the people of the planet. Draugr on the other hand would reign punishment on the treasonous acts made from the Head of State.

Kalee was now a neutral planet, due to the world leaders uninterrupted announcement that they left the Sith Empire. The Sith and imperials that did not respect the following orders (by the world leader) to leave the planet immediately, and instead decided to surround the building that housed him, would be given a warning and reminder to leave by the kaleeh officers (a logical reaction to recent events).

If the Sith and imperials refused to leave and resisted being escorted off world, and instead FIRED AT AND KILLED kaleesh officers, logically they would be shot at in return. Obviously, firing at and killing kaleesh officers, protecting their world leader, would destroy any diplomatic ties established on the planet.

After the Khagan made his announcement he ended his broadcast. Right then Emilia walked forward and stabbed the Khagan through his heart with her lightsaber, killing him. He was an evil man, who supported evil people, and so she did not feel any guilt from doing so. And as far as the guards were concerned, she was Sith, so she hoped this assassination would be tied to the Empire.

As she moved forward she slashed the Khagan's desk with her lightsaber, to prevent any other emergency broadcast from being put out.

She cut through the window in the office, then de-ignited her lightsaber while looking to her side. Right after spotting it, she jumped to a nearby deck on the building. She did so because she assumed that the Sith would go straight to the world leader and his office; a panicked reaction to the announcement, so she was not going to stay where she was. Of course, the Sith would have to make it up several floors, past all guards, and a locked door to make it into the now-dead Khagan's office, so it gave her time to escape. On the deck, she quickly entered the room connected to it then unhooked her blaster from her belt with her free hand.

[Darth Draugr]

Once he had his troops carry out their orders, he would make his way up the levels of the building. Each floor with security. It would be a tasking in itself to make it past them all and it would be tedious to not kill any men or women guarding their world leader. When the security finally saw Draugr making his way to pass them the first two would step in front of him. He didn't wish to make this a sign to which the Empire would turn their backs so quickly.

"Step out of the way. I am here to ensure the safety of your planets leader."

The guards would refuse for good reason. They were only following their orders. Though now if they were ready to stand against the Empire they would fall beneath them and serve one way or another.

"Very well.."

Draugr then would use the force sending the security to the walls on opposite sides of each other causing for them to fall unconscious. It was sure that the rest of the security team would see Draugr as hostile, but in the event of the possibility of losing a planet he needed to take action. Sith soil will remain Sith soil one way or another.

"Surrender now and your lives are spared!"

Some of the guards he came across took the surrender knowing the capabilities of the Sith Lord as well as the best troops in the Sith Army. Others chose to continue to fight. They were handled by the force as Draugr would send them to the walls, the ceiling, and the floor. He had to make it to the office.

After arriving he would take a deep breath and build the force within himself at the palms and after feeling himself with a coiling sensation of the force he mastered, he would send it forth at the door busting it open. The troops entered in quick succession clearing the room. The Sith Lord entered behind them and noticed the dead body on the ground. The wound wasn't that of a blaster though. He knew the damages a lightsaber made and this was only confirming his suspicions. There was most likely a Jedi in the area.

Though not in the room, he knew they had to be around. Especially with the security forces outside surrounding the building. Now it was time for a hunt.

Making her way through the room (from the deck she'd jumped to from the office), Emilia heard shots and battle outside the rooms door, in the hallway. That likely meant the Sith and/or imperials were in the building and there was a scuffle going on between them and the guards.

Emilia clipped her lightsaber hilt back onto her belt after hearing footsteps pass by the room. Once another moment passed Emilia sensed the gathering of the Force with a Dark Side taint to it nearby. Right then she partly existed the room. The door opened and she leaned out. Right away her purple eyes settled on the Force user she sensed who was about 13m away (Darth Draugr).

Emilia reached out with the Force herself while behind him, wrapping it around him as he was releasing a wave of Force towards the Khagan's office door. It'd likely be a big surprise to him, considering he was distracted with and in the middle of a powerful push and focused on getting into the Khagan's office.

She'd only wrap the Force around a small part of his upper body, from elbows to shoulders to keep him there and to prevent him from turning around, for as long as she could. But, she didn't need it to last long.

At the same time, Emilia aimed her DC-17 Hand Blaster she had in her right hand and quickly fired two shots at the Force User. One directly towards his back, the second directly towards his bum (also known as buttocks, derriere, bottom or fleshy hamburger buns). Either medium bolt landing on an unarmored target would be fairly devastating. Regardless, she remained on high alert.

More kaleesh guards arrived then too, firing at the imperials who went to go inside the Khagan's office since the door had been blasted open.

[Darth Draugr]

As the breach was being made, the force push coming from the Lord was his main focus. He put his whole body into the motion of the breaching push. Thus his torso would push forward and as he did he could feel the force gripping his body. He knew trouble was coming, as the door blew open shot would be fired. One flying by and making contact with his shoulder as it was aimed for his back when he was upright, now only able to make contact with and injure the Sith Lord in the left shoulder.

The other would aim to hit his lower half backside. Though as one shot was made, his troops that were with him would have been on alert for another. Emilia would lose her grip as Draugr would have immediately changed his focus, his troops would fire back at the source of confrontation while Draugr would have moved as soon as he heard and even felt a blaster shot. The second shot would nearly miss as he had moved. The burn on the back of his shoulder was immense, though he had been stabbed and sliced up by lightsabers many times, it was still a great deal of pain. Enough for him to grit his teeth as he would make any movements with his shoulder.

"South window! Fire!"

Draugr would take notice of this attack and he would also take cover. He knew rebels were all around and waiting for the opportunity to take him out, now he would be more alert to his surroundings to make sure he didn't allow for any other opportunities to come for his life. When he figured the Rebels and possible Jedi had fled the scene, he would make his way out of the room. Sensing through the force for anything incoming, any movement not made by him or his troops.

As he made it down the to the first level of the building he would use his personal commlink to call to all Sith forces to come and clear the area. This planet wasn't leaving Sith control not if he could help it. The smart thing for the Kaleesh to do would be to continue life as it was before. Then calling to the rest of the planet he would make sure his message got out for the planet to hear.

"People of Kaleesh, your Leader has committed treason to the Empire. As well as these rebels that had tried to take your way of life you have currently from you. They tried to convince you to turn your back on your allies that bring the honor of victory in war and battle to you. These rebels tried to take my life, and they will take yours just as fast. I ask to you to stand up. Continue your life as you were, the Empire is a friend. We will take care of this rebel infestation, but we need your support. Stand by the Empire, and the Empire will stand by you."

Whilst his message was being made the troops would cover every window, and door entrance there was in the building. The Lord's safety was the mission as it was clear the area wasn't safe any longer. Attempts on his life again would be noticed quickly and the traitor would be killed for treason. Draugr was hurt but not dead. The threat would need to be eliminated somehow some way.

"Bring me the head of each rebel traitor and you will be compensated heartedly."
