Has SW Canon died?

I honestly question this whenever I think of SW. So much is becoming "well it's either this or this" that I fear some day it'll be more confusing then trying to understand all of the possibilities in the whole of the Doctor Who series (as several alternative timelines appear).

I am not trying to be overly dramatic here; this is a clear cut question.

If it says 'Lucasfilm' or 'Lucasarts' then I guess it's canon. Except for the clone wars series, I steer clear of that minefield.

I presently have been working on a TCW reboot in my head, with a little help from a friend. Frankly, I'd be fine with Episode 1, 4,5 all remaining the same. please, someone go with the original story for Ep 6 and redo Ep 2-3.

I actually liked Episode II and III. :CShock But yeah, anything that's pre-films I like to know about. KOTOR and stuff. BUT I CAN'T ACCEPT CHEWIE'S DEATH. :CCry2

While I thought the earlier books of the NJO series were subpar. I enjoyed it after Star by Star. The last few lines of The Unifying Force was a perfect spend off.
